Sing O Barren Woman (Isaiah 54) - Steve Kuban

Isaiah 54 declares these words "Sing O Barren Woman." Part of the meaning of this chapter is that God was upset with Israel, but it was for just a "small moment"--the Hebrew word for "small moment" is "rega katon." But God then promises to bring Israel back from exile, having been scattered among the nations, bring them BACK to their Promised Land.
God speaks His name in this passage as being "The LORD Sabaoth", which means "the LORD of Hosts" or "LORD of Heaven's armies." He also tells Israel that He is their "Goel" which means "Kinsman Redeemer" (as Boaz was to Ruth, in the Book of Ruth). "Goel" also means God is Israel's Blood Avenger! Hallelujah!
