All terrific stuff. Thought Dashiell Hammett was the end-all be-all. The door's been fully opened with the Black Mask, and I'm so grateful. Only thing, if it is a thing, is the use of the AI voice. It misses the obvious nuances of speech. Wouldn't it be easier to just read it out loud?? I'm betting it would. It'd make the difference I'm looking for.
