- FLORIDA FEBRUARY 2024 Day Three!
We start our day at Target Superstore on highway 192 where we enjoy a Starbucks as we wonder around looking at the American products and the beauty and makeup section. We then take Mum and Dad to a British Breakfast cafe in Davenport, enjoying a homemade full English.
After breakfast we head down the highway to Lake Apopka Nature Drive, a free way to experience some nature in Orlando, seeing sights of Aligators, Birds of Pray and more!
After checking into our new Villa in Windosr Hills, we take a drive to Dezerland on International Drive for a look around for the first time. Laura and Dad tried a VR entertainment system, with Go Karts, Cinema, Car Museum and an Arcade also available!
We round off our day with a lovely meal in Ole Res honky tonk restaurant in Icon Park, with live music and Line Dancing!

lol I did find their response quite funny as we always stay there … but I guess it’s true they’ll let anyone in 😉 we were there during hurricane Ian and looked after us really well, they had people check in from the coast complete with their pets ❤ made the time go quicker having the pop he’s to interact with!
I think, and I could be wrong as I didn't see the sign, but it's more to do that you don't need a passport to go to paradise (margaritaville) because it's just along the street, not that you don't need one to check in

We laugh every time we see this Target! Once we went to pick our villa keys up from the ocean Florida office next door and we all went in and it took us a good 10 mins before we realised my wife wasn’t there and my dad locked her in the back of the minivan we rented 😂😂 he passed away not long after that holiday but we all still look back at this being one of his funniest moments!

Grocery shopping in the US. You have to consider that Orlando, Miami,..., and all the other vacation Hot Spots in Florida are a Full 18+% more expensive than normal. In Scottsdale Arizona Bashas, Albertsons and Frys among others will get the job done at 20% less than Florida.

If you like freshly made doughnuts try Donut King in Clermont! Also your mum and dad would love Oakwood Smokehouse in Clermont too. Proper old style American style food. Fab vlogs xx

Go and try Cracker Barrel and vlog the entire experience. The shop attached your Mum would love. It’s only down the road from Windsor Hills on the 192. Delicious food and great service.

We stayed in the first villa on the left after the small roundabout at Windsor Hills. It has lake views and is the closet villa to the clubhouse. Stayed for 3 weeks - stunning villa and the best villa complex we have stayed in - Highly recommend 🎉

Love watching the shop trips, we shop in Walmart when there and also go to target and publix. Heard bucees is good not sure if there is one near Kissimmee.
Great vlog guys, as usual, enjoy. We only just came back ourselves. A few reasons why Fire Trucks attend with Ambulances, is due to 1. if someone is critically injured and need lifting 2. Fire Trucks always have 1 trained paramedic, in case they get to the emergency first.

It seems obvious to me but just hazarding at guess at the No Passport Required slogan. Probably it’s suggesting that you don’t need a passport to step into paradise like you would if you flew there! A clever marketing slogan I think but obviously not all understand it.

We've stayed at Margaritaville. It's a great resort, and the no passport thing is like a tag line - you're in paradise without needing a passport! They definitely do want to see ID when you check in :) We meant to visit Deezerland on our last trip but we ran out of time... next time!

Target is always quiet and Wally world is always crazy! I do like Target and Publix but Walmart is cheaper for most things. In Texas, you have HEB (here everything is better) and it's cheaper than Walmart! Kroger is a fantastic supermarket chain too. Last year we went to Piggly Wiggly and that was very reasonable. My wife got a Piggly Wiggly t-shirt, and I just love saying Piggly Wiggly! 😆 Their merch is amazing. Not as good as Buc-cees though! 😁

We went to do this nature drive but it was closed. Check the website first guys, because it’s not open every day.
Instead we went to Lake Jessop which was beautiful and tranquil - not many gators as it was overcast. When it’s colder they all go down to the bottom.
But - you can’t see them but they can see you !!!!
I love how y’all make the best of any situation, especially weather. Rain doesn’t stop y’all from having a good time. :)

MARGARITAVILLE answer: Good morning! I am one of your American followers. I live here in northeast Florida (about 2.5 hours from Disney). The “no passport required” is their motto or tag line. It sort of means anyone can go there. They pretend like Margaritaville is a real place you could actually visit. It used to be a Jimmy Buffett state of mind before they started building actual neighborhoods and resorts with the name. It is not meant to be taken literally. I hope I haven’t confused you more.

I love Deezerland, doke it a few times and was fortunate to go in before the official opening years ago, in the auto museum there are many screen used cars from movies and tv shows, the 007 experience is an extra ticket purchase. I don’t know if you noticed all the pieces around the sides are old store fronts as it used to be a mall called festival bay. The cinema at the back has been there years even before deezerland and one of the best in Orlando, it’s never busy and amazing seats
I do know what Laura means about looking around Florida supermarkets, love them, I like publix and Walmart

You’re absolutely right why the fire engine comes…they’re paramedics too so if you had someone in cardiac arrest the engine crew will be able to assist the ambulance crew. Sometimes you need them for lifting help. Sometimes the ambulance could be on another call so the engine crew can start medical aid until an ambulance from a different area gets on scene (ER nurse here so I work closely with those “guys”)
Btw, just booked my trip to Scotland….you love coming to Florida and I can’t wait to go the other direction lol.

Great vlog. We went to deezerland last year, the auto museum is linked to the James Bond museum so you have to pay for those but worth it as I’m a bond fan. Some great ‘actual’ bond cars there the owner has acquired.

We are Wiganers, who moved here to St Cloud 2 years ago, I was An ICU nurse in Liverpool Broad Green for 12 yrs prior, we get out of your vlogs perhaps something different than other people who live in UK, firstly they are always colourful, well edited and your enthusiasm for the places you visit and the things you do comes across well, and even though we seldom visit the parks we enjoy watching your adventures so much and makes us want to go there LOL! we have only been magic kingdom and Hollywood studios since we came here although the kids have been to Seaworld and Gatorland with school trips already. Your Shopping vids are really good and give us so much information about stuff we didn’t know was available! All your other trips are so informative too. Remember that we are both working and have kids in school so we get limited time to go visit places so any tips are welcome.
Please keep your format! It works. Dunno if you’ve been there but Lake Eola Park in Orlando downtown at night is good with the spaceship fountain lit up and restaurants and shops around it.
Also Gaylord Palms Hotel Atrium with its river, restaurants and animals is really good too. (although I think you have to pay to park there). Perhaps in the future consider South Of Tampa in Sarasota, Anna Maria Island, etc. The springs are also spectacular. I don’t know why more Brit’s don’t visit Kelly Park at Rock springs and hire some inner tubes and float down there it was one of our best trips ever and it’s FREE! only pay $6 for parking but start queuing at the gates at 7am for 8am opening to get a car park spot!
