- Colin Farrel almost didn’t have to wear a fat suit. When Reeves met with Colin, he was excited to see that Colin had extra body weight because of his previous project, The North Water. Reeves asked him to simply keep the weight he had already gained, but Colin declined due to health concerns. So, he wound up wearing a fat suit on top of the weight he still had to lose.

Good to see that not all actors sacrifice their health for acting
As an actor I don't think I would change my physique purposefully in a negative way for a role. I'd get more in shape probably but not less

Literally watching The North Water right now. It’s decent but The Terror Season 1 is just so much better.
I would laugh so hard if in the sequel Penguin becomes absolutely shredded in the time between 1 and 2.
That would be hilarious.

I mean personally I think that them crafting a look for penguin using a suit/makeup easily gave the designers/make up artists more room to articulate and create their own look

I feel like the world is gaslighting me about how great this movie wasn't .
1. All the best scenes was in the trailers .
2. The movie was so dark visually I couldn't see , even the scene shot in the day .
3. Every main character was poorly cast except for James Gordon played by Jeff Wright .
4. This movie feel like it was supposed to be rated R (and it should have) but pulled out last minute .
5. Batman watched Celina get undressed with binoculars was kinda creepy .
6. The SUV crashed the funeral and nobody ran. Even after the guy behind the wheel stepped out with a bomb on his chest people still stayed.
7. Fight scenes are boring, I thought Batman knew how to fight ? He fights like Wolverine, a brawler.
8. Bad casting ! Andy Serkis as Alfred does nothing , Robert Patterson is still Twilight , Collin Ferrell as Penguin does his Robert De Niro impression . Zoe Kravitz is Ruby Rose BatWoman , I don't believe you can take on a man twice your size in high heel boots .
9. The car chase scene was in heavy traffic in the rain . 🙏 PLEASE watch that car chase scene from the movie EXTRACTION .
10. The way people hype this movie up is disgusting and it makes me hate this movie even more , (off topic) I feel the same way about 2pac . People over hype things when I've seen better. You've seen better !

- I personally like the dark tone of the movie, i dont see it as a bad thing
- i think the cast was very good, and i dont think that robert pattinson is still twilight, he is very good, you should see high life or the lighthouse.
- I think too that this movie should have been R-rated but I think that they did it because they wanted more people to come see the movie
- About the SUV scene, yes that is a little error there, but quitting that, that's one of the best scenes in the movie, and I don't think that the people that don't run ruin it.
- I really liked the fight scenes, and about what you said, this batman is a young bruce that only has been batman like 2 years, its not like affleck, who had been 20 years batman, and could fight anything.
- The car chase scene is perfect man.
This wouldn't be in my top 5 movies but I really liked this movie and I think that is very good. I have seen a lot of people that didn't like it but its okay, this movie isn't for everyone, its dark, long and the movie can be boring for some people since I find it very similar to se7en, so, all that stuff of detectives and misteries can be boring to someone. But for me the plot was really good and kept me hooked on it.
And sorry if something you dont understand im from spain and im learning english I just finished secondary school xd.
People say it was unnecessary, but watching a character and cant see the actor behind is just next level for me.

I'm not a fan of most of his work. Especially his earlier stuff, but he absolutely blew my mind as The Penguin. He's great in the role and I hope we see more with him.

I remember he had to gain some weight for True Detective and absolutely hated it so I’m not surprised he immediately took this weird off as well.

I do not think he was a good penguin, when I think of penguin I don’t think of an Italian mafia guy. Instead I think of a short guy who’s from London.
he just looks british in the comics, him being a mafia boss of sorts actually fits his character like a glove. The penguin is a mob boss, his cronies are usually the ones doing the dirty work for him and he collects like a true mob boss. Also the very first iteration of the penguin literally makes bank stealing paintings and parlays that into infultrates the biggest mob in gotham and kills the boss to take over the crew which is how he even gets powerful enough to become a threat to batman in the first place. Being a mob boss is literally the core crux of the penguin character
Why is this movie good I mean why? This movie was slow and boring..
