I think it needs a slightly tweaked script to be more fair. Players should be allowed to do any aerial freestyle trickshot they like, as long as they touch grass before scoring, which creates the delayed defending mechanism that imo is what made the pogo 1v1 work so well.
Nice to see a show match show casing skills like this! Great job each of you, Rezears looks like he is really starting to hone his technique, Joreuz is close behind, and Dark just has a level of control and mastery over the pogo that outclasses the rest. This was a fun watch.
I love Feer's casting for this match. He's so used to pogos being an insane thing to cast but it's every shot, so it comes off like - "Here comes Rezears getting the double flip into the POGO shot to the net" "And now Joreuz flying up into the ceiling, he's staying close to the ball, gets the POGO! Beautiful shot past dark" "Alright now we have dark POGOING into the musty, so clean" Endless Hype, I'm all for it
Darks feathering the boost is beautiful, he taps it perfectly to go in the direction he wants when ever he wants. He is better at that then anyone else. Looks so clean.
When you see insanely cracked pros having trouble with pogo's and then watch dark doing them it shows how skilled he actually is at them. Joreuz improved really quick after the early rust. Great series, props to them all.
ggs to Joreuz and Rezears. They did much better than I was expecting. You could see the moment something clicked for Joreuz and he started hitting them a lot more consistently.
King of the Hill is in my humble opinion the best format for this. It kept my eyes glued to the screen watching in anticipation if someone will run away with a cheeky lead!
The only pogo I have ever scored is when my faulty cable caused my controller to DC during a regular ceiling shot. My though process went from ''OFFS!" to ''Oh shit! I bounced up perfectly and i'm still in control with a perfect setup''!
Can't wait to see the first pogo in RLCS. I remember when flip resets came up, Johnny used to organize flip-reset-only showmatches (I think Comm + someone e.g.). It's definetely very hard to pull off in 3s, but I think it can be done.
dark surprising joreuz with a really early challenge right on the bounce, then following up with a pogo shot right off the bounce was really smart for a guy who is billed as being a purely mechanical player. joreuz's goalkeeping vs pogos are outstanding for what a niche play it is
@Olliered99 tbh if dark was just more focused on winning he'd destroy . When I'm 3 goals ahead with 2 mins left I just play super careful so they cant score off me failing a flip reset shot. Dark on the other hand doesn't give a dam if there's 10 seconds left , he won't stall will still go for a triple flip reset shot even if it means he fails and the opposing pro scores to bring it into overtime.
I'm losing my mind at Joreuz not fixing his pogo landings. He keeps landing wheels down vs wheels up and it's way harder to get a big bounce that way. Surprised he didn't know that already. If he watched rezears or dark for two minutes in this game alone he'd realize that.
Yeah either he genuinely didn't know how to (which I find hard to believe because he should have adapted very quickly), or he has a special way of doing it and was adamant on doing it that way
Rezears is actually so solid. His setups are so disguised and close to the ball so his adaptability is very high. A safer setup than darks and definitely as viable
Joreuz was easily the best on defense, he also had the best fundamental mechanics like 50's and recoveries, Dark is definitely the best pogo player but you can really tell which of them if the overall best player in this lobby, I hope dark gets a good team and can start gaining rlcs experience when he's 15
Whoever mentioned the Dominus is 100% correct on it being easier if your trying it. At least was for me. Just gotta land on a corner. Landing the same way in the octane/fennec just doesn't do it. It's pogo spot is way different. So weird. But makes sense.
i think for the next show match, you need to invite pulse, nytro, redshift, and a few other freestyling groups to play with dark. i really wanna see what crazy shots someone like jxsh or jakze could pull off in a 1v1 like this.
im guessing Joreuz's previous air control setting are far better to twist and turn his car in ways to pull off pogo's. and that due to his lower settings now a days which may benefit him in different situation he has some trouble to get it perfect. just my 2 cents. SPOILER he redeemed himself at 13:40
if you want the real physics of it i can kind of explain why his pogos were not the best even if you don’t care😅. when you hit the ball with any car right side up in the air, it hits mostly under your car and on the front of your car. that’s why people usually shoot upside down when they take an aerial shot. it’s also why when you go to shoot, the ball goes nowhere unless you’re upside down in the air. basically the hit box is registering his wheels hitting the ground and not the corner of his car. if your car is upside down the game registers it as the top and the corner. it also has to do with momentum. more momentum = higher bounce. also, when feer was talking about joreuz’ car almost fighting it’s momentum it’s because it was. the car was trying to bounce backwards because it wasn’t carrying the momentum into the ground at an angle that carried the momentum back up. that’s why he had to lean so far forward to get a bounce. it’s also why rezears and dark were able to be either almost straight up and down or leaned super far back. i think that’s everything…
2:25 its not a delayed Musty, its a delayed B-Flick (or give it some own new name) otherwise you cannot diffrent between the original Musty and other innovative shots that use the same base-mechanic.
What? That's just overcomplicating things way too much.. you're really overthinking it here.. it's just a musty at the end of whatever else he does before the musty. Like double flip reset musty, doesn't change the fact that they did a musty at the end of it, it's not magically something new..
Joreuz started off rough but quickly improved, that's impressive. Rezears u can tell was comfortable with pogos. Dark was just the best.
He always is
That's joruez for ya. Someone that puts in an inconsistent amount of hours, but improves very quickly.
I'm half way through and he's still ass
He just warmed up bro no one get improve this fast
Absolutely! Joreuz and Rezears both demonstrated impressive skill, and Dark's talent was unbeatable.
Dark couldn't have finished with a better ending shot. Insane
this needs to become a regular series
Lol tune in next week to see who dark destroys
Yeah
facts
I think it needs a slightly tweaked script to be more fair. Players should be allowed to do any aerial freestyle trickshot they like, as long as they touch grass before scoring, which creates the delayed defending mechanism that imo is what made the pogo 1v1 work so well.
Who can beat Dark?😂
this was actually way more entertaining than I expected

Dark is a legend. It's so strange to watch Joruez struggle to do something mechanical! That's how you know it's hard.
Pogoing isn't hard he just didn't practice it at all
Regardless of winner, dark's movement and setups just look pristine.
This is more entertaining than watching freestylers meander their way to the goal using 1000 boost per shot.
Darks feathering the boost is beautiful, he taps it perfectly to go in the direction he wants when ever he wants. He is better at that then anyone else. Looks so clean.

I’ve never clicked a video faster in my life.
Loved watching this!!!
The level of skill and creativity these guys have in combining these mechanics is insane!!!
18:27 Joreyz went nuts
poor joereuz setting up the pogo forwards instead of upside down
It started to work for him and I personally think it looks pretty clean that way.
Have to take a second to appreciate that all three of these guys can consistently set up the ball inches away from the ceiling shot after shot.
ggs to Joreuz and Rezears. They did much better than I was expecting. You could see the moment something clicked for Joreuz and he started hitting them a lot more consistently.
Feer reinventing the wheel for this one except they can save shots 😂
Reminds me of the time we had flip reset show matches. :) Curious whatll be the showmatch in 5 years...
360 wavedash flick pancake musty
psycho showmatches
Maybe pogo into musty into psycho as a valid strategy... ;)
Thank you so much! You are my favorite youtuber and you will always be! Have a great sleep!
This was awesome Feer! Great idea! Much more entertaining than I expected! Well done!

10:53 Bismillah Flick!

This was everything I wanted it to be. LOVED every second
Dark absolutely owns this game.
not in any tourneys kaka
In terms of mechanics he does yes but not gamesense though he will be unstoppable if he improves that side of his game
@Olliered99 tbh if dark was just more focused on winning he'd destroy . When I'm 3 goals ahead with 2 mins left I just play super careful so they cant score off me failing a flip reset shot. Awesome format for a match, we need more of these!
ngl this should def be a series but not just with pogos, mechanics in general. basically like pro players freestyling
I’ve been waiting for this !
Thanks for the great content

Watching pogo is fun but the varieties of pogos is something else
Finally :) Love this idea!
Rezears is actually so solid. His setups are so disguised and close to the ball so his adaptability is very high. A safer setup than darks and definitely as viable
You made the video. Awesome. I’m excited to watch it
This started off iffy and became super entertaining!
This match was really entertaining to watch!
The thumbnail goes crazy
Oooooh Rezears with the Bismilla flick!
2:00 the dirtiest thing I’ve ever done seen 😂😂
Dark is so clean with it
Agreed, but his camera shake just give me headaches everytime 🤢
the intro lmao. BOOOTTSSSS
GGS great level of DARK
Pogo matches should definitely stay!
Our brain is programmed to land perfectly on 4 wheels.. now how the fk am i gonna tell my brain that its okay to land on car corner!! -_- lol
Dark casually securing his title at the end and showing everyone how its done
Joreuz was easily the best on defense, he also had the best fundamental mechanics like 50's and recoveries, Dark is definitely the best pogo player but you can really tell which of them if the overall best player in this lobby, I hope dark gets a good team and can start gaining rlcs experience when he's 15

After seeing what juicy could do, should've included him in this and joyo too
why is this a thing only until now?
More of this plz🔥
i think for the next show match, you need to invite pulse, nytro, redshift, and a few other freestyling groups to play with dark. i really wanna see what crazy shots someone like jxsh or jakze could pull off in a 1v1 like this.
that last one was...beautiful
Instant classic
Ong
Exhibition showmatch is so cool... its like the dunk contest for rl
Last goal was insane what
darks last shot was genius lmao
great game wow they were fighting for it for sure no free buckets
what a finish, legendary
At 20:01 how did he get another flip reset?
"Chat here we go!" 🎉
The "Pogo shot" is actually called a Plan B
im guessing Joreuz's previous air control setting are far better to twist and turn his car in ways to pull off pogo's.
and that due to his lower settings now a days which may benefit him in different situation he has some trouble to get it perfect.
just my 2 cents.
SPOILER
he redeemed himself at 13:40
nah i think its more the fact hes doing it facing fowards instead of backwards

wow they are all gods, rofl dark just has more believers = more god powers unleashed.
Dark is my favourite player right now, fun to watch
Welcome to wendys may i take your order?

This is like a flicks only with mawkzyy
Damn that was exciting!
This is Rocket League
Chat here we go! Im backkk
first time ive ever seen joreuz struggle with something mechanical
literally all he had to do was spin 180 and he had it😭
Is this Johnny bois cousin?
Pogo guy here:
The thing Joreuz was doing wrong was not angling the butt of his car forward enough. You really have to commit for the forward pogos
Ain’t no way your here
We need new challengers for the king
I love this!!
Dark gameplay is so clean daamm
Not disappointed
FEER THE CONTENT GOD
I wish I got to do this, would love to do a pogo 1v1 😂 can’t find many other freestylers that want to
love it
ggs
2017 - Ceiling shot only 1v1
2018 - Air dribble only 1v1
2020 - Flip reset only 1v1
2023 - Pogo only 1v1
2025 - ?
Awesome stuff. Next time just a normal 1v1 with Pogos worth 5 or 3 or something.
This was epic
hey feer i am a daimond and i strarted practicing pogos and now i am consistent
This was so epic
Chat such an L during the first Joreuz session, acting like he's so bad...it's just dark who is incredible at it.
oh heck yes
