OMG!!! I LOVED THIS CARTOON WHEN I WAS A CHILD!!!! I HAD IT ON VHS!!!! LOL...I WATCHED IT SO MANY TIMES!!! BRINGS BACK MEMORIES!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️YES I AM HYPED!!!
Does someone knows about a cartoon about this time of Ichabod that the character was sent to another town to get something but gets lost in the woods sometime later he comes out of the woods to find his.town but his friends and family are all gone or old but he remained young... Anyone help out? I am trying to find the name of that cartoon
Did you ever have luck with this? It took a lot of searching even to get here. I live in Australia, and had a VHS when I was younger with three or four short stories on it. One was about a headless horseman (I think this is that version), one was as you described and another was something about a skull in a cave. I've been scouring image search for VHS covers and typing loose descriptions into IMDB to no avail. Any help would be appreciated!
My grandparents Add this on VHS and my sister and I used to watch it when we would go over to see them. I thought it had been lost when they moved and then passed away but I’m glad to see it survived here. Thanks for the memories.
The horseman was a Hessian mercenary, sent to these shores by German princes to keep Americans under the yoke of England, but unlike his compatriots who came for money, the Horseman came for the love of carnage. When battle was joined, there you'd find him. - Baltus van Tassel, Sleepy Hollow (1999)
he didn't come for love of Carnage, that's some Tim Burton bullshit added on to make his story more grim. the actual tale is far different ua-cam.com/video/R_LX4f9CU2w/v-deo.html
@@sirjosh9 That's right. It's only been the past few weeks that it came back to me that Mr. Lindsey was actually Trigger. It's been years since I saw "Robin Hood".
Best halloween movie ever i watched it pretty much every year on halloween as a kid.Ripvan Winkle reminds me so much of my grandmother cuz she used to get so cranky and falls asleep and if you ever wake her up out comes the mad russian miss you grandma rest in peace
Wait... the dog and horse are the two dogs from Aristocats (the voice actors I mean) that chase after the Butler. Must be a comedy duo. They're doing the same kind of routine here with their characters, bouncing off each other.
I actually have play Sleepy Hollow as a theater once! Me and my theater group made our own version of the story! And I played Ichabod!
Nuh uh!
I think I’ve seen a theater play of Sleepy Hollow.
How great!!

Happy Halloween 2021
This is why headless horseman is the best .. it's like sometimes he use the pumpkin as his head

Wait wait, the Headless Horseman is a witch in disguise? I don't seem to recall any witches in the Legend of Sleepy Hollow?
4:14clikbaited by a witch...wow

Wild crats is better. Refresh any of your lazy butt memory?
Fanfiction from 1979. They had way too much fun making this.

You have no idea how long I’ve looking for this. Everyone thinks I was looking for the Disney one. Thank you!
The Headless Horseman has the best evil laugh
Yes he does have a very cool laugh I ever heard
Napoleon and Lafayette's voices at 5:00.
My thoughts exactly!! Although I first thought of the sheriff of Nottingham and lafayette but then I remembered about napoleon.
That’s right pat buttram and george lindsey
The Sherriff of Nottingham and Nutsy, too.
Buttram and Lindsey were the best vocal team ever.
@@jillparks Nutsy was voiced by Ken Curtis, he's best known as Festus Haggen from "Gunsmoke". George Lindsey voiced Trigger.

Thank you so much for this!! My Halloween is not complete without this and we lost our VHS copy a few years ago :(
Remember, NOT MADE BY WALT DISNEY STUDIOS!
Brought me to tears watching this ..
So many childhood memories
Did Tim Burton get his inspiration from here to make Sleepy Hollow?
he probably got inspiration from ALL the versions of Washington Irving's story.
the headless horseman is a spell in this version . but the real headless horseman may ride on forever
3:51so the headless horseman has a cat and a house... really civilized
Pat Buttram
rip van winkle meets icahbod crane for the first time!
1:22 wait,the headless horseman is a thief?!ok, where's my shotgun?
Hahahahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahhahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahah that is hilarious hahahahhahahahahahahhahahhahahahah Lol😂
@@KnockedupNout what?
man this cartoon is unique :)
So this is like Washington Irving's version of World's Finest? Ichabod Crane v. Rip van Winkle
Washington? I thought the name of Ichabod's horse was Gunpowder.
My guess is Gunpowder "ran away" at the end of the first story, and they gave a nod to Irving in this. Still silly, though.
No, that’s the name of brom bones’ horse.
@@1960frj Brom's horse was Daredevil.
Nope, check it out in the Washington Irving book and on Disney wiki. It’s Gunpowder
@@1960frj Gunpowder was Ichabod's horse.

How did this monstrosity get produced. The original was far superior and released decades earlier
This sucks! I recommend watching the Disney version! That movie is awesome!👌
