Thanks Eric, glad you enjoyed it!
This is one of your best lessons and one of muddys and little Walter's songs ... You can keep playenn this lick over and over and work on technique plus it's a true delta blues song which is what I love to play ... Thanks great lesson ...
You're welcome Kirk :)
I have enjoyed the lesson especially the key of d because my hohner harmonica is in key d. Thanks. Waiting for more lessons in key of d
Harmonica virtuoso Little Walter was a key contributor to bluesman Muddy Waters' music through most of the 1950s. Both as a sideman and bandleader, Little Walter revolutionized the sound of blues harmonica through amplification, clasping a mike to the harp as he played.21 jan. 2014
thanks Liam and big thanks to the one who requested it
No problem :)
Top man, I love 💖 these lessons.
Thanks Sugar Pie!
Great information Liam . I improvise a lot on licks I learn . I tend to put my own twist on it so to speak . Thanks 😊
Fantastic, that will really help your playing. Cheers! Liam
Brilliant, thank you Liam. My D Key diatonic is on the way. Still learning 1664 Chromatic. Going to sign up for your diatonic classes once I start on that harmonica. Meanwhile these videos your putting out are giving me plenty of info to digest. Thanks again.
You're welcome, thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy your new diatonic 😎

According to a book I have, it was the first Muddy recording that featured Little Walter on harp
Nice one, good bit of trivia. Thanks!

Any way you good break down the different ways you improved this in sections like other lessons you’ve done? I’m only two weeks in but I’ve got this main lick down but I’d like the alterations as well
Love Muddy Waters and loves me D
Thanks, Liam !
You're welcome katsuyukisakata :)
Great as always
Is it possible to add a print option for you tabs
Thanks. A lot of my lessons have free downloadable tabs on my website at www.learntheharmonica.com, I can't do it for every lesson but you can see on the lesson pages that a lot of them have the option. Cheers. Liam
n ice one
My brother gifted me a d harp harmonica and I never played any kind of instrument. And now after some research it seems everyone prefers c harp for beginners. But is d harp somewhat suitable for beginners as well?
You can learn the basics on any key, it's just that a C harp is not too low, not too high, and uses the basic C scale so it's easy to teach the fundamentals of music. You can still follow the tabs on your D, you'll just be playing in a different key. 😎
The important stuff starts at 2:55
No, I didn't waste almost 3 minutes, I fast forward it
You're welcome 😉
I hate you. teach me. please!
You need to read a book called "Madeline Says Merci" by John Bemelmans Marciano
