I’ve now done multiple photos with the theater and have gotten all characters in the game in all 3 shots. Some characters I’ve noticed are more stubborn about showing up than others but they will show up eventually. Sometimes using additional copies of theater can help. Also, going into furniture mode and deleting theater then putting it back on ground can help as well.
Do not count on the campfire working the same way. The wording for the stage was "random villagers," while the fire was "nearby villagers." If this was intentional, and not just an oversight by the social team who wrote the description, the fire might end up working very differently.
This technique is genius and it's definitely gonna make Dreamsnaps with villagers a LOT more easier + who knows maybe they'll add a feature to select villages in the future too, hopefully 🤞
I really just need a photo menu option to choose characters. I’m even ok if it’s limited. Like maybe 4-5 characters. A pop up menu of characters similar to the map, but you can choose the few you want. It makes more sense than doing this. OR… even better.. leave the photo menu alone and add that option to the stage. I don’t want random. For the princess snap, for example.., let me choose who gets pulled. I do t want to fight with 40 characters just to get the 4 I want.

I watched a similar video and you can actually use Jack to get everyone else's attention, if you noticed at the end everyone was looking at him so you can use that to get everyone to look the same way for dreamsnaps :) another cool and fun video as always
small sidenote; you don't have to click the well on the map to teleport to it, you can bring up a menu that let's you choose which biome to teleport to instead. it just makes teleporting easier and faster.
I used this basic concept to pull Belle from her house and Tiana from the Valley to the Isle for my princess snap. It was so useful! Yes, could be better, but I would have been so sad not to be able to get both of them, I’m so glad it’s even possible now! (since Tiana kept going back to the Valley every time I grabbed Belle)

Also, regarding Ursula theater, in my experience, it is not as efficient and spawns the same characters more than Coco theater…it takes far longer to get different characters. Also, you cannot buy multiple copies of it so Coco theater is superior.
I used the stage to get some of the princesses out of their houses for the last dreamsnap. It’s a bit tedious, but I thought it was definitely worth getting just to be able to have access to all the villagers!

@@kimc5657 Yeah that would be amazing but this is better than nothing especially if the character are asleep or inaccessible

The characters you had banished but still got pulled in by the stage might have been in the restaurant or in their house
When you unselect or reselect characters to appear on the map, the game has to be restarted, as far as I know, for the effect to apply.
you just gotta enter a building to make the valley reload itself, there's no need to restart the entire game.
