Samantha's father place is sevalpatti from virudhunagar district. Even sridevi is from meenampatti of same district. And many of those people will tag themselves as Tamilians only as they are here for more generations. Even the historic hero, who fought against British even a century before the 1857 revolt. kattabomman is a Nayak zamin. Ppl call him as Tamil king only and not as Telugu person. During Pandia's regime, krishnadevaraya's minister came and helped him to clear many political issues of that time around Madurai. Hence the Pandian ruler gifted some lands and made them as feudal lords. They called palayakarars. But palayakarars include other proper Tamil lords also. 20th cetury Great politicians of TN, periyar, karunadhi are all Telugu people only. That's why their named their parties as Dravidan party and not Tamil party. Even vijayakanth, vaiko are all Telugu people. This is why Naam Tamizhar (we are Tamilians- only native Tamilians) party are aggressively against these Dravidan parties. These are just facts which I know. Im not from Telugu caste. I'm neither a supporter nor against any people. Im a neutral Indian UPSC aspirant.
