Pag Filipino kasi after graduate imbes na mag focus na para mag-ipon may mindset tayo na tulongan mga nakakabatang kapatid at magulang natin. Which is not a bad thing pero nakakabagal sa pag unlad natin. Pwera nalang galing ka sa mayamang pamilya.
We have the same thought. Dapat ang ituro ng mga magulang natin magsumikap ka sa sarili wag umasa. Pag nagsumikap lahat at may mga stable job walang naghihirap. Ako may mga pamangkin 7 silang magakapatid parehong mga may stable job. Ang panganay teacher, tapos computer engineer, civil engineer, Certified Public Accountant ang ganda ng buhay nila. May mga investment na sila. Kailangan din marunong tayo magdala ng finances.

Kahit anong school at nagsumikap ka sa buhay mo at umasenso ka na hindi umasa sa ibang tao yan ang napaka importante. Ang mga pamangkin ko public school din sila graduate. Sino ngayon ang nagyayabang sa atin dalawa?

Tama mga payo mo 30yrs old ako back at 2000,may asawa 3 anak na mamasukan bilang delivery ng softdrinks sa manila, bawat tindahan na bagsakan namin ng soft drinks at beer ay may karaoke machine at video games, na iigit ako pag nag coins out sila. bumili ako ng 1 unit ng karaoke machine sa raon at nilagay ko sa harap ng bahay namin. 2pm to 8pm lang kasi maingay need na ng neighbor matulog. yung kinikita ng karaoke naipon namin binili ulit ng 2 unit hangang umabot 30unit sa loob ng 4yrs. Nilagay ko sa bahat tindahan na kilala ko, nag rent na din ng karaoke bar sa dimasalang manila at sa quezon city. 2007 lahat binenta ko. Need na namin pumunta sa america at manirahan buong family . Pag retired na ako bbalik ulit ako para mag business ng apartment.Habang kaya pa natin mag simula sa maliit na business . Salamat sir.

As a Filipino-Chinese (HALF), I want to share for this, the main reason kung bakit mayaman ang Chinese in Philippines, is umipon for savings since Bata pa hanggang pag graduate Nila for college, then Yung na ipon Nila na sinasave ng ilang taon (School years), dun na sila mag start ng pondo, for business (na willing), unlike sa pinoy (di lahat, kung walang wala ka, and gastador ka), Lalo ka humirap kahit matalino, or mataas grade mo, empleyado ka pa din sa trabaho. Ngayon Mostly sa Chinese or Tsinoy is willing for investments. Pagdating naman sa Luho, once or twice Lang sila bumili (expensive or luxury things from hardwork, sa daming ipon na Pera from business)

You're absolutely right, i have a modest life, a lawyer, but i fail to hit the top coz' im just an employee. I invest on my long education which i cannot pass on my nxt generation, had i chose to invest in business, my income would have been increased dramatically and i can pass my business to my next generation. Business is like creating an empire.

Naaalala ko noon nung mga panahong kakagraduate ko pa lang at walang tumatanggap sa aking trabaho either overqualified or walang hiring ang dahilan, kung meron man underemployment.
Nagsimula ako sa designer inspired perfume na tinitimpla at ginagawa tapos pinagbebenta ko, to the point na pinupuntahan ko talaga ang potential cheaper and better suppliers kahit napakalayo at commute lang ako.
Up until may isang Chinese supplier na naiinis ako kasi dahil Filipino ako (Chinese descent din naman ako pero di na makokonsider na Fil-Chi kasi lola ko ang Chinese na Naturalized Filipino) yun na nga, ambaba ng tingin sa akin, every after transaction pinaghihintay ako sa labas kahit mainit at wala man lang maupuan. Pero pinasisilong naman ako sa garahe nila pag maulan.
Pero nung nakita ako ng Chinese na tatay niya pinagsabihan sya in Chinese syempre malay ko kung anu yun, tsaka ako pinapasok ng tatay sa office nya sa bahay nya, ininterview na bakit sa edad kong 20 noon naisipan ko na magnegosyo kahit maunti.
Sabi ko sa kanya liban sa no choice ako kasi walang maayos na hiring sa akin (meron man parang talo ako sa kikitain kong sweldo) ehh gusto ko rin magnegosyo kasi alam ko dito pag sineryoso ko ito kikita ako ng higit pang di hamak sa sahod ng isang empleyado.
Natuwa sya sa sagot ko at pinuri ako, kinuwento nya buhay nya noong kakaalis pa lang daw nila ng magulang nya mula mainland China at nagtrabaho pa raw sya sa pier at talyer at nagsimula na rin mag junkshop at magtayo ng maliit na kainan hanggang kung anu pang mga negosyo ang tinayo.
Ipagpatuloy ko lang daw, dahil natutuwa sya na isang Pilipino may maayos na mindset sa kitâ kahit sa batang edad bonus pa na nakagraduate ako. Mula nun di na ko trinato na parang aso lang.
Ngayon po bagama't naitigil ko na ang pagpeperfume dahil humina sa dami ng kakompitensya (meron pa rin pero sideline chemist na lang ako at co-owner)... nagpokus na lang ako sa paggawa ng beverages. Oo mahirap kasi bawat conceptualization ginagawa ko mag isa at bawat boundaries nalalagpasan ko, may di ka releasan ng papeles, meron naman antagal tagal lalo sa lot no. ng FDA, may mga kuda pa ang mga mema pero atleast pinagpatuloy ko at ngayon paunti unti nakakaexpand ako in every way possible.
Ang hirap mag business sa totoo lang! 🤣 Kaya dapat talaga may investment ka pang passive.
Pero worth the risk. Di totoo yung alipin ka ng trabaho pero atleast alipin ka ng sarili mong negosyo, di ka nagtatrabaho sa fixed income kundi nagpapakapagod ka for a better and better income na 😍🥰

Wow, iniisip ko pa lang ito nung mga nakaraang araw about the difference of filipino and chinese mindset kasi gusto ko i-explain sa magulang ko on why I choose to start an online business, tapos ito ngayon lumabas sa youtube suggestion, kumbaga dininig sa taas.

The big question is: what do you want in life? Also, I’d like to point out that we, Filipinos, are pretty on the low side in reading comprehension. Let’s start from there first.
Totally agree. When I was in my 20's I started reading financial investment and investment opportunities. I was always interested in stocks and I learn to look at Company financial statement. One of the key factors I have learned is market sways according to the news so keep yourself updated with the latest current events not just in your country but the world. I learn to invest using OPM(other peoples money). Be inquisitive and if you can find a mentor the better. Be honest and don't do shortcuts. Now I'm worth half a billion pesos. Be prudent. Non of my friends and classmates knows my net worth and never shows off your wealth. Keep a low profile and enjoy life and share your blessings.

Tama ang advice niya. Alam naman natin ang mindset nang karamihan nang mga kabayan nating pinoy. Kanya majority sa ating mga kabayan ay nag hihirap hanggang ngayon. Ako hindi ako nskatapos sa college, pero pinasok ko ang home catering dito sa america at medyo nakakaluwag at least mas malaki ang income ko kasya employee ako noon. Second plans namin is, to open small catering business.

Filipinos do need to learn this at early age indeed. While there are so many hard workers in PI, there are also tons of lazy ones expecting OFW family to support them. Also one of the reasons why overseas Filipinos are poor. They keep sending their money back home and they ended up not having any for themselves.

I also have a college degree. And I also have a business that I now run. And my income now has been 5x more than what I used to earn as an employee. Based on my personal experience, I do believe that being an entrepreneur can change your life forever. And yes, a college degree is still very important.

I worked for a Pinoy business man, mahina ang pasok ng customers even if we did massive advertising in Social Media and other platforms. I later worked for a Fil-Chinese female boss, at nagugulat na lang ako sa dagsaan ng customers even if we're not doing any advertising...as in parang may magic talaga haha. I also learned so many new tips and tricks na never ko pa nakita sa ibang Pinoy companies...so parang may free apprenticeship na din ako. Even after I left that company to start my own business, idol ko pa rin si madam...the best boss I ever had.

The true goal of this life is happiness. Money can buy it? Nope it can only give you temporary happiness being contented on what you have without comparing what others have is the mindset that you should have. Being Poor is not jus one aspect it has different aspects same as happiness. If you have everything you'll no longer happy for small things.
Setting up goals is still great, being satisfied is nice but putting a higher bar would be greater. You can still be happy with small things when you are rich. Just do not forget who you are back then. Its about the person how he or she would perceive success. Maybe yung mga taong hindi nakokontento is yung mga taong nabuhay agad sa marangyang buhay even without working hard to achieve it. Pero if you worked your way there, success is fulfilling. Be contented and happy for what you have, but keep on having a burning desire to improve yourself.
