That youthful exuberance through 2 games seemed to ware off the Wolves to sustain that intensity it appears was to much even AE's games was demenished after 3 games championship pedigree to over come the challenge had been met in game 3 by the Denver Nuggets the Wolves will have to dig deep defensively to accomplish a win in this series...
The move to let Gordon bring the ball up instead of Jokic or Murray almost came too late but the Wolves had no answer for it at all
I actually think their adjustment of pressuring Gordon with a wing and then switching it later in the half court will work once Gordon stops drilling every three and turnaround jumper he attempts

Without Aaron Gordon going Stelh Curry mode and your below average bench shooting 100% from 3, this series is 3-1. It took all of that to beat us by 8.

Only Nuggets fans knew it wasn't over after down 2-0. We remembered the bubble comebacks, and we know the team truly are family, and Malone is a fighter.
I'm not a Nuggets fan and I definitely didn't think the series was over.

That 8 points in 20 seconds before the half was what the margin of victory was but it never felt THAT close. But great point Legs, the 4-5 pairing of AG and Jok just is up there with some of the all-time greats!

For Nuggets fans nothing the Jokic era Nuggets do is truly surprising but I have to admit their 9-4 playoff road record this season and last is almost impossible to believe. That's a .692 road winning percentage v. playoff caliber opponents in front of completely hostile sell out crowds. That winning percentage over 82 games would equal 57 wins. Amazing. What else can you say?

Great show! I dont think Minnesota can go away from Gobert because Jokic will attack KAT immediately. Once KAT gets in foul teouble, the game script is over. Nuggets have an answer for anything Minnesota throws at them.
The biggest difference is that they're moving the ball into the wolves' side of the court immediately. They were losing to the shit clock in the first two games because wolves swarmed them at half court.
Anthony Edwards was +5 in 45 minutes. The non Ant minutes they were -13. Obviously he is young and can get a lot better, but he is a player that imposes his game, rather than read the game. Both work, but Ant is the last person that needs to be talked about in a semi negative light. Hell, he was even defending til the last minute of the game. If KCP is guarding KAT, Kat has to score that. Gobert ran into Jokic after catching an Ant pass and turned it over. Hell, KAT just stiff arming MPJ was inexcusable. Ant needs his teammates to provide something for their team, and he hasn’t gotten that the past 2 games.
Great points. It's interesting because in the Suns series Ant was reading the game and it felt like he could control the 4th quarters by recognizing when to attack vs when to create. That's not the case in this series and I wonder why and how Ant could manipulate this defense. In this series, I think the best thing for him to do IS attack so I'm not sure how else he can manipulate the defense. In the Suns series, they trapped and doubled him a lot so he punished them but he's not getting trapped or doubled much in this series.
Totally agree on KAT and Gobert. Tbh it was an uncharacteristic night for KAT - he's usually quite efficient (was shooting 70% TS this playoffs until last night). So there's still meat on the bone there.
@@lylaeloise3948Kat being that good is the outlier. Wolves have had an absurdly high offensive rating at 126 in the first 6 games of the post season. This is absolutely unsustainable, especially for a team that was below average offensively in the regular season. It's only a matter of time before they regress a bit.
If they can keep scoring 120 a game, nobody is going to beat them.

Wolves stuck to MPJ like glue the entire game. Denver should figure out how to free him up.
After a blowout its important to see how a team responds. Nugs showed what they were made of, champ material. Wolves tried to respond but just couldnt. (Except ANT and Conley.)
Luka isn't close to 100% and that isn't going to change anytime soon. Can he maybe somehow get a 40 point game during this series? I wouldn't rule it out because Luka pulls off miraculous stuff, but I wouldn't count on it.
Tell me Adam I saw Brunson hobbling around several times this weekend so was he playing up his injury or is Luka the only one not allowed to feel pain?
Luka averaged more points assists and rebounds then shai but for some reason noone mentioned that he was robbed for the mvp. I think its a mix of racism, jealousy and hate of serbs by the american media.

This is a really great point about how Ant can start controlling the game by manipulating the defense and thinking 5v5 rather than how he can score. It's interesting because he figured this out in the Suns series. He was creating for others, punishing doubles so when the doubles went away he starting attacking. He was manipulating the defense and thinking 5v5.
Why do you think he's not doing that in this series and what do you think he should do? I guess Denver is not doubling him often unlike the Suns (who would trap him a lot), so he thinks the best choice is attacking? Maybe he's not sure how to manipulate a defense and create for others when he's not being trapped or doubled? Would love to hear thoughts!

I agree that Ant hero ball is going to result in a loss for the Timberwolves as well. That type of solo act does not beat solid teams. It's what prevented Luka from winning in the past, as well.
I'm also glad to see so many people eating crow on their Pacers takes. They have the ability to turn any game into a track meet, and the Knicks will have a hell of a time keeping up.
Only the Timberwolves and the Nuggets dealt with them effectively in the regular season. And the Bulls and Celtics to a certain extent.
The pacers knicks series has been a strange one. The pacers have forced their playstyle throughout all games, but new york found a way to pull out 2.
To me a sign of a good team is enforcing your playstyle and pace onto your opponent. And the pacers do that in spades.

It's prisoner of the moment stuff. They've had success against the Nuggets and everyone else all year with Gobert and Towns on the floor. Best defense in the league by a mile. Guarantee game 5 just looks different.

They took it seriously because the coach, best player and organization values good basketball habits, toughness, and gives the fans what they want. Nuggets played more aggressively. It is that simple. They coasted through the Lakers and needed a wake up call. Wolves would have been smarter to just barely beat Nuggets in game 2. They bitch-slapped us instead and that made all the difference in how our guys played in 3 and 4. Nuggets in 6!
Been saying it all week. Wolves were awesome game one nugs had not urgency. Then nugs beat themselves game 2 and broke down and gave up. They literally threw in the towel lol.
I counted over a dozen plays they were playing the refs instead of the game. Take that famous trap play, Murray could have easily passed out of that and has the iq to do so but intentionally held the ball to show the refs how many times they were slapping him to force a call that never came.
Nugs GAVE up. Judge their mentality or even character for that but NOT their talent.
Too many people called that cope but i aint even a nugs fan. I just know psychology and enough about basketball to know whats going on.

I really want to see my Mavs going against Denver in the WCF. With Kyrie and Luka playing defense like they are (if you don’t know just be ready for the surprise soon 😂) it’s a great matchup. Joker will definitely figure it out but Lively and Gafford gave him some trouble last time they played. Lively can tire jokic out by sprinting for open court looks. Mavs in 7 baby. Luka will go absolutely nuts with Gordon or KCP trying to guard him 😂😂😂
Luka has been pretty shit so far. Ky is their best player by a fat margin. In their current state, wolves or Denver in 6

More like they finally found themselves. They been playing in limbo up to the Lakers series. Then the 2 embarrassing loss woke them up.
Nuggets without refs and adam silver help would have been a sweep. 4 days off after 2 game loss, never happens in a playoff series. No murray dirty off court play suspension. Refs changing rules back to regular season soft calls in game 3 and 4. Easiest chip ever last year also.
At one point it looks like the Nuggets are setting screens to get Gaubert on Jokić so they want Rudy to guard Jokić so we have a better chance of scoring think about that. When we should’ve won defensive player of the year.
