    As someone with an Accounting background, I agree on what you said about installment payments. If you are able to pay it naman na, then go 'cause installment may look attractive but it still bears interests. Let's say 3k amount of interest lang pero you could use that amount for other things you need/want.

    • @ReiGermar
      @ReiGermar  4 роки тому +16

      Oh right!! Forgot about interest! Pero totoo minsan bait nila yung “3 months to pay” pero lalaki lang babayaran

    • @rinamikaelablanco9825
      @rinamikaelablanco9825 4 роки тому

      True, yan ang mahirap sa installment. Akala mo mas makakamura ka dahil mababa lang babayaran every month, pero dahil may interest mas mahal hahaha

    I'm a 21 yr old college student and recently I've been thinking about stopping for a while and land a job as a call center. Everything that's happening rn is a major contributor abt the pressure that I'm building up for myself. The pressure to earn money (bc I'm supposed to be graduated already if not for shs), the pressure to be able to support for my own expenses, the pressure to move out and build my own life and be independent from my family. But what u said about taking ur chance to spend time w/ ur family esp parents bc they're not getting younger made sense. Maybe it's just my ego talking about building a life away from my comfort zone but I'm sure being locked up at home and not being productive more than before is what's making me have these ideas. Idk what path I'm going to take in the following days but thank you for this Rei, it made me rethink my plans.

    14:30 "Way too pressured that you end up doing something di mo gusto"
    Just a month a go, I was looking for a job (any job). I was pressured na makahanap ng work because of the gastusin sa bills sa bahay, and stuff. I got the job (which is i rlly don't want, kasi it's not my forte, not I really like, di reach ng skills ko), I was a bit excited at first and nervous, but then felt na di ako magg-grow doon kasi di ko talaga gusto yun. I ended up withrawing my application during the orientation, as in pinagisipan ko sya ng malala kung aalis ba ako o hindi. Syempre na-disappoint ako sa sarili ko dahil di ko kinayang magtagal doon, but I never regretted quitting, I'm just too disappointed sa sarili ko. Then I started comparing myself sa ibang tao na bakit sila kinakaya nila bakit ako hindi, na di ko kayang lumabas sa comfort zone ko. Hanggang sa nag-contemplate ako sa kung ano ba talaga gusto ko sa buhay, ano ba purpose ko sa buhay. Ganern (Alam kong ang OA ng pinatunguhan disappointment ko).
    Pressure can be good, like what Rei said, you can turn it into motivation ganern. At the same time, it can be bad too, kasi there are people na nade-depress at na- anxious dahil sa pressure (sa nakikita nila sa paligid nila).

    I’m 22 years old, and I’m married to my husband German, and we had 3 years old boy together. I find this video so helpful, and yes the first thing that you have to think wherever you are or what you are gonna do or buy, is to think if you really NEED it, or you just WANT IT! this method i applied to myself just this year, since i was 18 di ako nagtitipid sguro kasi dahil past ko di ko nabibili at nakukuha gusto ko, ops, I’m not a gold digger but also not asking money from my husband, i have my own money kasi may narerecieve akong pera from government para sa anak ko, plus ofcourse my husband also giving my allowance, and just this few years i am also helping him on his work so i am recieving salary extra from him. I’ve learned a lot, when it comes to financing or how I should manage my money, so now im not just thinking twice, instead i think about it again ang again, before i buy something, and really trying hard to save money to invest for something! A thing that i wanna prove to myself, to my husband and to other people😊

    That “kung nakinig lang ako sa nanay ko” haha ang cute lang pero honestly all the things that is happening or lets say whatever u have or where u are rn is because of what you have done so if we gonna think abt it if you’re planning to change something in the past IT WILL affect your future so I believe nakaplano lahat yan base sa mga naging desisyon mo kumbaga isang pangyayari lang from the past ang babaguhin mo maakpektuhan lahat ng meron ka ngayon so if you r happy and contented on what u have right now theres no room for regrets or saying “kung” - baka kasi KUNG ginawa natin yung iniisip natin SANA ginawa natin noon baka wala tayo sa kinatatayuan natin ngayon. 😊
    Lets all be positive 💕

    20 already and just graduated senior highschool. Feel so pressured to succeed in life seeing people at the age of early 20s have succeeded in thier own careers. But this video reminded me that I shouldn't feel so pressured because every individual has his own pace. It may take awhile but with God's will I'll get in there.

    i love ur 2 cents on financing. that's actually a big chunk of what ppl learn in finance 101. im referring to doing installment and using the money that u have now to create more wealth (in form of investments on business, prop, etc). in the end kasi u have to weigh the costs and benefits (or what u really need rn), like do u want ba to maximize a certain business opportunity now so u do the installment method or do u want to do the opposite. xoxo

    I agree with your sentiments on financing. I don't agree on doing instalments for "want" goods. It's not financially smart. If anyone wants to buy something expensive, such as luxury goods, it's better to save money for it or buy it only if there is excess money after allotting for expense, debts, and savings. In terms of saving, it is very helpful that you create a ratio on how you will divide a paycheque based on your expenses, debts, and goals in savings. Personally, it works for me to separate my investments, savings, credit, and chequinq account. It helps me visually to see how much I save or use for expenses. Hence, I opened accounts from two different bank institutions, wherein the secondary account (for investments + savings) has auto-deposits from my primary account. Another tip on finance is to explore different bank institutions. There are traditional banks and one that is primary online. But be cautious, as I am not sure what the state of banks in Philippines are, and I'm basing this where I currently live.

    "Understand their love language" that's very true ate rei, some parents are not showy but it doesn't mean that they don't love you. The first thing that comes to my mind when you have said those words, ay yung dalagang nag viral na hindi na appreciate yung binigay na phone ng tatay niya. And ayaw niyang umuwi ang tatay niya hanggat hindi niya nabibili yung gusto niyang phone. Ang sakit lang sa puso, yung tatay pa niya nag sorry sa socmed dahil ganon ugali ng anak niya 😢😭

    Dun sa part ng pressure same with ate rei but the difference is that, I’m 23 and still wondering about my future and i always compare myself to others because of social media. Like 23 nako wala pakong nagagawa sa buhay ni man lang sa work kase kakagraguate ko last year ng degree ko and yung real batchmates ko is that gagraduate na sila form their masters degree and ako??! Wala nasa bahay lang. I’m losing hope ang tagal pang mawala ng pandemic dami pang problems sa family and gastusin for my brother’s dialysis.

  • @OwnPropertyPH

    What Rei does on managing finances is really good. Having a bank account that is not connected to an ATM card and mobile banking really forces you not to spend the money that you deposited in it. And I totally agree that you should only do monthly installment if it will eventually make your money grow 😊
    By the way, if anyone here has questions about investing in real estate properties, I can answer it 😊 I’m a licensed real estate broker and I also create content about real estate.
    Yes, it’s really important to take a break and stepping out of your comfort zone makes you grow. I really like how Rei is full of wisdom 💕 At nakakatuwa how talkative she is.
    I’ll try watching Reply 1988 😊

    Hardships and pressure is the greatest motivation. Feel it, acknowledge it then use it for your advantage. It will be hard to use it as your advantage if you keep entertaining doubts (which most of the time, are coming from other people) YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN. Thats the honest advice I can give you. Meaning, regardless of how people say or comment about your decisions and choices, remember its important to prioritize yourself. Have accountability, embrace your weakness and work hard to turn the table around. I hope everyone is doing well (physically and mentally) keep safe :D

    hi ate rei! watching your video really got me super emotional. Everything you said really hit me so hard to the point where I feel that I have to change myself, that I have to accept all my flaws and step out of my comfort zone. I really really got so emotional yet motivated. Lately, I've been feeling insecure with many things, feeling so down coz I feel so worthless. Sometimes, I feel like I don't know myself na. I am literally crying rn. Thank you so much for waking things up for me. I reallyy stan youuuuu huhu thank you for this wake up call. So much love Ate reiiii

    I super agree with your thoughts about installments. Kung luho sya and hindi mo pa kaya, save up nlng instead of paying it installment. However, if you want installment bcos you need it let us say rn ppl need good tier phone/tab for online class but you dont have the money to buy incash, you can do bcos it is an investment. Also, pwedi rin yung nag installment ka for a motorcycle/car bcos gagamitin mo for business then ok sya kasi yung available cash mo pwedi mo ma allocate to other "mini" gastos for your business. So dapat talaga, you know king anong purpose ng item na e-installment mo and kung may makukuha ka bang value out of it kahit na monthly ka pa rin nagbabayad.

    The Installment thing is really helpful 💖 and I agree dun sa part na social media makes you loose your identity. Kasi super pressured ka sa mga nakikita mo to the point you do this because almost people do this, wear this and stuff like that. Its sad but its happening

    my gosh.. i can see you are more mature pa nga eh. i am already turning 32 soon and still haven’t figured my sh*t out. :) ngayon ko pa lang inaayos lahat: finances, etc. and it’s less than a year since I decided to move out to a different place away from my family and then the pandemic happened. super uncomfortable talaga but no regrets. i watch people here in UA-cam na lang to loosen up. :) :)

    I agree with toxic friends, trying to see the good in people will you cost you so much later. I don't want to end a friendship during this time but I care about my mental health. You really can't change a person who is not seeing a mistake with herself. 😒
