@@Mayhem242fr! Before I watched the second season of tuc I thought cody would be insufferable, but watching him be such a shithead is SO funny, idk how murph does it
Murph is the opposite of "that guy" in any ttrpg, playing the uncool guy in-game while sticking to the rule and making sure everyone including the DM is having fun
"how do I save my marriage tom thumb" is one of the funniest sentences uttered in all of d20 history. the sincerity. the desperation. the sheer absurdity. just beautiful.
i don't think this makes sense to anyone other than me but "how do i save my marriage ton thumb" is like "cis-her gal-a-them" if it were in the actual season in terms of buildup, energy, hilarity
This and the most recent quote (spoilers kinda sorta maybe) for the most recent episode of Fantasy high junior year (not really spoilers but it is a quote from it) “I gave you a chance and you chose to say blimey” are someone my favourite lines from d20. Along with the castle bit from the start.
Gerard's accent being all over the place is the best thing. Veering WILDLY between Kermit, Ed Helms, Nicolas Cage, Jester Lavorre, Borat and just Murph
the scene where he can’t get elody to read the letter and panics and then is just a complete mess is my absolute favorite. just entirely comes apart at the seams. it’s over
Murph played this like every bad-ish guy npc he plays in NADDPOD I was so happy bc many ppl still don’t watch NADDPOD but this was a beautiful example how Murph can play a charmingly good asshole
Listen I dont know if it's just me, but Murph has veen so funny these past few seasons. Obviously he's always funny, but the last few especially have been incredible
Honestly I think it's the characters! Starstruck was obviously wonderful and such a goofy atmosphere that it'd be hard not to make a likeable character, but he's definitely putting the ante in to the bits in ways he didn't used to, if that makes sense.
Cody Nightangel 🤝 Gerard Of Greenleigh pathetic men masterfully played by Brian Murphy who we were supposed to kinda hate but we loved every second of it and also they had amazing character develpment
Gerard's comment about if witches are going around turning kids into frogs, you'd reckon you'd see more kids-as-frogs is so sad :( "Was I really the worst kid to ever live?"
gd “so i guess i’m just gonna be a weird little guy and see what happens” i resonate with that so much. thank you for speaking to the transmasc soul brian murphy [11:04]
i still standby theo being murph's best character but gerard is murph going full in on showcasing his acting and improv skills. him and lou were the peaks of this season for me
gerard might be my favorite murph character ever. there are so many energies ive *never* seen from him before that comes out in Gerard and im SO fucking here for it ive been laughing my ass off
I’m the same age as Murph but I’m curious if the audience is: y’all know the song that “Your hair is everywhere” Is from? Dashboard Confessional, anyone?
he was kermit for three seconds
Murph's commitment to playing such an unlikeable guy and also making him fun to watch is wild
it’s very much a balance of mean to pathetic ratios and he’s really got it down pat
He's really good at that. Cody was a turd but he was so fun to watch
@@Mayhem242fr! Before I watched the second season of tuc I thought cody would be insufferable, but watching him be such a shithead is SO funny, idk how murph does it
Honestly he still ended up being kind of likeable. He was just so entertaining and actually had some great character development.

Gerard having a completely one sided beef with a little puppet boy was one of my favorite things of the this season
That child was just trying to make him happy and sometimes feed him hotdogs made of human/donkey meat, have some sympathy Gerard!

The greatest scene in d20 history imo
"I promised never to get mad? That's infuriating!" is one of the best lines in D20 history
What's funny is you can see a little bit of the married couple peak through there, I imagine that scene has happen LOL. Emily is chaos in a body.
up there with slammed down big style and blimey
Murph is so good at playing abrasive little guys like Gerard Riz and Cody
Murph’s fantastically mid tier shitboys are so good
Murph Character Royal Rumble who takes it, I got money on Barry
And the legend jens Lyndelle
If you like Murph’s little guys, you gotta check out naddpod, so many flavors of shithead

He did say he would be handsome!
“I agreed to never get mad ever again? Thats infuriating!” is one of my fav Murph-character quotes😭💀 Gerard is the funniest ever
Murph played this like every bad-ish guy npc he plays in NADDPOD I was so happy bc many ppl still don’t watch NADDPOD but this was a beautiful example how Murph can play a charmingly good asshole
jens behavior honestly
Gerard is like one step below pendergreens lol
@@SinginghomealoneLITERALLY Gerard is Jens if Jens was actually the good guy instead of being the worst man on earth lmao

he's really made some great character choices
Since coming out of lockdown in Starstruck he's really embraced the chaotic silliness that the rest of the group thrives in
No I agree; Gerard might be my favorite Murph PC of them all. He was throwing haymakers that whole season
Yeah post-quarantine Murph is hilarious!! He’s been real wacky since Unsleeping City 2.

The Tom Thumb interactions tore me to shreds. Just the weird bro whose listening and not listening to you
Cody Nightangel 🤝 Gerard Of Greenleigh
pathetic men masterfully played by Brian Murphy who we were supposed to kinda hate but we loved every second of it and also they had amazing character develpment
I love Beardsley being affected by the cringe like no one else
Missing the scene where he comes into the tavern super grumpy impaled on the spike and just goes "I DEMAND SOMEONE REMOVES THIS"
I'm going to be so serious right now. NOTHING has made me want to play dungeons and dragons like prince gerard of greenleigh
Gerard is one of the most underrated Intrepid Heroes characters and Murph plays him so well
Big fan of Lou's massive bark of a "HAH" at 8:08
Lou's laugh has been described as "exploding out of him" and I couldn't agree more
Gerard's comment about if witches are going around turning kids into frogs, you'd reckon you'd see more kids-as-frogs is so sad :( "Was I really the worst kid to ever live?"
(Murph croaks pathetically)
Murph's delivery of "that's why they build 'em" will be stuck in my head forever.
12:03 it’s so sad Lou died immediately after this joke.
omg i misread this title as “gerard crime compilation” and i was like well lets see where this goes
I will never get over 🎵her hair is everywheerre 🎵
Gerard’s arc being happy to make actual friends as they are is amazing
my favourite d20 character of all time. he sucks so much im in love with him
Prince Gerard of Greenleigh youll always be famous
1:54 S tier Murph sound
perfect timing to post this as i’m considering getting a little frog tattoo with concerning’ written under 😂
The body horror of being trapped in a form around those you care about yet still unable to ask for help
gd “so i guess i’m just gonna be a weird little guy and see what happens” i resonate with that so much. thank you for speaking to the transmasc soul brian murphy [11:04]
Omfggg even in just the first minute it came flossing back how fucking funny Gerard was hahaha. The whole Tom Thumb thing Killed me.
the whole tom thumb conversation is perhaps one of my top 2 murph moments, he really knows how to lean into the stupid
I can barely make it through the Elody conversation it's too stressful
murph really knows what he's doing, it's so great and so awful at the same time
If the Prince Gerard of Greenleigh has no fans that means I'm DEAD!
i desperately want to hear what "her hair is everywhere" would have been followed by... release the mixtape, gerard!
I love him so much
I watch this once a week and it's also bleeding into every one of my dnd characters.
gerard is one of murph’s funniest characters
This is the Perfect compilation
tysm!! ❤️
i still standby theo being murph's best character but gerard is murph going full in on showcasing his acting and improv skills. him and lou were the peaks of this season for me
Why?! Why, Pinocchio?!
i think i've watched this compilation like 10 times
Why am I so in love with this character
I have rewatched this video an unhealthy amount of times
Replying every time I do from now on to prove a meaningless point
I’m back
Once again I’m watching this video
Here again
gerard might be my favorite murph character ever. there are so many energies ive *never* seen from him before that comes out in Gerard and im SO fucking here for it ive been laughing my ass off
"Rrrright?"
Yesss! My favorite character from this season!
We love a horrible frogman. 😊
My cringefail malewife babygirl 🥰
barbarism. . .
strongest start to a video ever
Nothing's funnier than Gerard's failing marriage.
i love this compilation 😆
tysm!! it was a lot of fun to put together

Perfect title
He’s the best. I’m kinda sad that they never really got back together with Elodie
Nah it’s better this way. He didn’t deserve her and he knew that.
God Murph played this character so perfectly
(Murph croaks pathetically)
