Having just visited what is left of Camp Hale, this video was great to watch. I'm fascinated by the history and sacrifice of the soldiers who served at the Camp and later were instrumental in defeating Mussolini and Hitler.
However, I was dismayed at the condition of commemorative signs and tributes at the present Camp Hale site. They are weather worn, in disrepair, difficult to read, and in overall poor condition. They also don't offer a more substantial history of the Camp and the 10th Division. The Department of Defense, and other Veterans organizations, ought to fund an update and more comprehensive tribute to the 10th Army Division soldiers and to what was a remarkable and unique Army installation.

The tracked vehicle is a " weasel" and was used for light-duty transport over snow, etc. while not very sophisticated, they work and are a lot better than snowshoeing. The Mules carry parts of an artillery piece. For example, one wheel per Mule. When traveling, Mules have the right of way over a column of troops. It's standard to carry both ski's and snowshoes.
