Because you guys Thais, Laos, Hmong, Dai-Viet and Shan in Myanmar are quite closely related to each others with Xingshuangbanna-Dai of Southern Chinese fellas.
This was the "first one I found" when searching UA-cam and became immediately hooked to Thai music. I now have my own (electric) phin guitar, made by order in Ubon Ratchathani and know of at least 2 other phin guitar non-thai owners here in Finland.
I love this & Thailand. To me it's the place with most liberty, great people, decent government & happy people. I hope to be with these people some day
Yeah not sure where you get the good government idea from. Love the Thai's but the corruption is nuts, and there have been constant coups almost every couple decades. The current government has the military on top of them too as remnant from the last coup. I even had a friend tell me if he ever went back he would be drafted for mandatory service, but he said, "Ah but it should be fine, my mum said shes got a plan to bribe the soldiers, it shouldnt be too hard" lmao

Eventhough I have a blood relationship to the Southern Thailand counterpart, but I rarely enjoy this kind of instrumental song. It is shocking me and put me to spend 5 hours a day playing guitar to practice this song. Fabulous.
