Thank you so much for taking the time for sharing your knowledge and tabs, I have never been a fan of Marshall amps but since I started watching your videos a while ago, now I am really looking forward to get one!

I have been following your channel for the last 5 months, and now binge watching all your older videos, including this one. Big fan! Great content and presentation as always.
One thing I thought I would add, which I think is really important for mastering alternate picking, is upward and downward pick slanting. Troy Grady, a UA-camr, I believe is the best source on this. This technique was the missing piece in the puzzle for me, and greatly improved my playing. Many famous guitar players only use downward pick slanting, and their guitar patterns/runs are generally constructed so that only downward pick slanting is needed.

      Thanks man! Glad to hear!
Good tip 👌. To be honest I’ve never paid that much attention to that but just play the way I naturally play. For this one I tried to be a bit analytical but it’s pretty hard for me since I’m just a feel player. If it sounds & feels good it’s good 😁.

@@EugeValovirta230V you’re probably a natural 🙂, your playing is fantastic! Yep, agree, feel is the goal; it so much fun riding those riffs/chord changes, it is like surfing to me. Playing only fast runs all the time, to me is like overdoing “aggressive” feel in a solo/song. Keep it up, brother!

Hi Euge, I just found you today, and I just wanted to thank you. I really dig your music, your playing. And thanks for the lessons. I'm in Massachusetts. I'm 60, I started playing again 2 years ago (since I broke my left wrist playing hockey . . . at 15). Peace

      Hi Tom,
Oh thanks man! Glad to hear you’re back at guitar again! And sorry to hear about your wrist.
I’ve broken my shoulders, elbow, teeths, fingers etc. playing… hockey 😎. And my back’s been operated twice. I played on a national level in Finland when I was younger and still play but on a beer league level. I love hockey and watch NHL games from UA-cam pretty much everyday 👌🏒.

@@EugeValovirta230V have you played an ESP/LTD SN-1000 (the purple one)? I bought one about 6-7 months ago. When I started playing again, it was with a Yamaha FS-800 acoustic for 6 months, then I bought a Player Telecaster (which I hated and sold for a used EC-1000, a great guitar). But I wanted my own NEW guitar, so I researched 6 months until I found the SN-1000.

Can’t remember since I’ve played so many but all ESP / LTDs I’ve played / tried have been really good 👌.

ex 5 is especially helpful because you have to do both outside and inside picking. sometimes i do that same exercise and then another one where i skip strings every other note. maybe thats in your other lessons i havent watched them yet....on my way to pt 2 now! thank you!
