And you still mourn it during the first few years. Parenting is a huge adjustment and we don’t talk enough about that aspect of it.
Yes, people always say omg I love my kid I love being a parent. But truthfully I miss my life…. I miss leaving whenever, sleeping in, not cooking if I don’t want. Not doing a single thing if I don’t want. Traveling isn’t fun with my son it makes it a challenge and not something to look forward to. I’m tired and exhausted because he has to adjust to a new location and a shift of his schedule! It’s aaaaaa lot and no one talks about it and makes u feel like bad parents!

It’s so obvious to me that as much as Marcus was trying to process it, he was more concerned about being supportive & positive to keep K in good head space. I love that!
Yes I noticed that too! I’ve noticed after their accident he’s so much more gentle when he speaks with her, not that he wasn’t before but he was always so playful and sarcastic, and probably reserved his affection for off camera moments, cause in their older videos he was always pushing her buttons the way husbands do haha 😆 I mean that’s his personality and it’s always funny but idk he acts very different towards her now. It’s very apparent the effort he puts into making sure everything he says to her conveys that he loves and appreciates her and I feel like its something we sometimes take for granted if we’ve never been that close to loosing the ones we love. I’m so happy for them & the fact that God brought them this light and little growing life after the darkness they went through last year. 🥺

Marcus, you can totally communicate with babies. I highly recommend looking into baby sign language. Infants can sign for “milk” “more” and “sleep” and so much more. I regret not learning this earlier. It a joy and it eases frustration in communication for parents and babies that haven’t learned to speak yet. Blessings!
