A big part for me is making sure I get enough sleep the night before a round. My pre round ritual usually starts the night before my round. I’ll clean my clubs and grips and make sure my bag is good to go. Then I’ll go to sleep and give myself 7-8 hours of sleep. In the morning I’ll eat a light breakfast and do a 15 minute meditation. Then off to the course. Once I get to the course I’ll check in and get a small bucket. Before I hit anything I’ll stretch for 5-10 minutes. Next I’ll hit a few balls at about 50%. Then I go through my range routine. I go through a 3 shot sequence, 1 shot for each (drive, approach, chip). From there I hit the putting green. I start with 3 balls and hit each one at a different target, this is to gauge the speed of the greens. Then I’m good to go.
Another good video from Joe le Pro - GM did well in signing you up! Only one concern - you mentioned using the ‘brain’ numerous times, and a lot of the people I see at the course seem somewhat deficient in that area 😂
all good advice- my biggest bugbear is that on many courses the practice putting green pace does not match the course greens pace ( most of the time the practice putting greens are not actually greens to the same spec as on the course at least in the UK)
I agree that can happen. On the flat they SHOULD be the same. Many putting greens don’t have acute slopes that can be found on course either. Not easy. I once overheard a visitor asking the green keeper. “Is this the same speed as on the course.”.? Upset green keeper replied. “We use a different mower, different fertilizer, and prepare them totally differently…….of course we don’t”.
Totally agree. Great advice. I do all these things, including wind advice. I’ve never heard anyone give that tip before though. As they say, if you fail to prepare, you prepare to fail. It makes such a difference.
Not arriving on time on the golf course is probably number one mistake. You rarely play good golf when in a hurry up to the first tee.

Good point!
Ah, come on Joe, show us your warmup.
Amazing looking course
I listen to soft music on the way to the course. Great for calm you down. I also do a 30min light workout pre-round. I even do it at home.

Big Love for ‘Joe The Pro’ ❤. Smashing it mate!
Never start round on top of mountain.
A few golfers at my club warm up with a few schooners of beer prior to tee off.(helps the nerves)
8. Leaving your golf shoes at home.
Some good points but maybe what you don't realise is many golf courses don't have a driving range putting green or any place to warm up

Leaving home with clubs that don't fit your swing is definitely #1 lol
