This is VERY BAD storytelling. The whole thing focuses on whether the principal was right or wrong. However, we are NOT told WHY Emma was suspended. This video was a waste of time.

Thanks for the honest comments on here! When this pathetic story ended, I was at a total loss to understand what had happened and what was the results. I thought I had gone to sleep and missed the main points. Turns out they were never made and it was a feebe attempt to play with words in an effort to bring praise to the author! The author should be sent to a 'real' principals office!
Due to the comments I'm not listening to this any longer, you don't suspend a child for nothing especially when she never gets in trouble and is a good student. I started reading the comments when the story doesn't have reason because I hate stories with no content and no excuse

I totally agree! It was so stupid. I kept waiting and waiting to hear why she was suspended in the first place and even went back to the beginning thing I must have missed a little. But nope! This story as just a lot of words. No real story line. A hint of what may have been a conflict but no actual resolution it was a story with no beginning, no real ending, no subject really. Not even what would consider a story at all.

This ia a stubed story. There ia picture of Emma in the hall and the teacher has a paddle in her hand. What is that all about. I don't now why I read this stuff.
I was that little girl who was subjected to corporal punishment but with a family that anything that drew attention was Taboo. He had bamboo canes and belts with different thickness and made you cross your hands the belts were on the wall displayed like trophies.Even in my innocence I knew something was going on between him and the Secretary.
So why was she suspended? If it was for a good reason, who her parents are shouldn't matter.
The principal should be fired and have all his property seized.
I'm retired and outside of the current culture in education. Back in the Dark Ages, the only reason for an immediate suspension lacking a parental notification would have been violence leasing to bodily harm to a teacher or admistrator. Not ever being appraised of the "crime" makes it impossible to judge the punishment. However, a comment of, "You don't know who I am," would not make any points with me. For a parent to be involved in politics and none if staff knowing borders on the unbelievable.

First of all, the story is incomplete. The obvious is why she was suspended, physical or violence? I'm pretty sure in such school policies, it requires the parents to be notified and even come to the school to pick-up their child. Another AI failure... I cannot believe that just because a parent is in an important role in the community her children should be treated differently from other students at her school. In the story, it was never said why she was suspended. I have been teaching subjects in English to Thai students at all levels over the last 17 years. I always treated all the students in my classes the same, yes, some of them did not want to learn English. When questioned about why? Her answer was, "Teacher, who around here will speak English to me? I had no answer. Martin. (Thailand)

I feel It was deliberately left out because , If told, we would be livid to think social statis of the parents was the reason? Notice, he only changed his mind when this was brought to light. Secondly, Why didn't either parent answer the calls made to them? What the hell kind of parent wouldn't answer a phone call from the school? Just the same, maybe their child was ill and needed to be picked up from the school . Right? OR should the child have gone home and told the parents she was suspended and gave HER version of it , WHY wouldn't the parents answer then too. Right? Maybe she did something she wasn't telling them? So why wouldn't they even in THIS situation answer the phone calls from the school? Either this is a made up story and Poorly made up at that. OR, if real, It's pretty pathetic because the message we are getting is because her parents were high on the social statis the principal shouldn't suspend their precious child?? in the same manner and respect every scholar even if they have been disobedient, but get the true facts before taking any decision.

After watching or all that time, I was mad not to ever know what Emma had done to get suspended, why her mother’s job (?) or position hurt Emma, & what was her position and how did that matter with whatever Emma had done! It was a poorly written story with no answers, only questions. (I’m a retired school teacher, & am very well aware of the politics and laws affecting our decisions at a school.

Oh man I’m so bored by this long pointless story, it’s empty and disagreeable. The principal spanked her with a ruler without even knowing who she was or her background.
