Cassette tape hiss (White Noise/Hiss) [Free Sample]
Вставка
- Опубліковано 12 вер 2024
- A short sample of a tape hiss present during cassette tape playback. Good to relax or meditate to
Extracted from Now That’s What I Call Music 45 compilation, played using Dolby B Noise Reduction System
I applied slight EQ boost to make the noise a bit more present
Hi there, is this sound free to use for independent, personal and or commercial projects?
Yes, feel free to use and sample it as you deem fit
this could not have been a serious question
@@StillGotShit4Brains it was a serious question. I dont recall "free sample" being in the title before. But when you work in a professional space with the potential of significant ramifications if caught using illegal sounds it is important to be sure you're utilising a sound legally, not to mention it is respectful to the original uploader/creator and appropriate to ask and be sure.
He stole my tape hiss!
@@reidprice6008 yes sir! my man spitting facts
This is oddly relaxing
I have to agree. Why is this relaxing?
@@ahem88 white noise is a relaxing frequency sleepjunkies.com/sleep-soundly-with-white-noise/
@@ahem88 Its 20th century ASMR lol
Creepy imo
Damn right, White Blogger Black Specs.
Forget record hiss, its all about that cassette hiss
I gotta agree, EndrTheHentaiGod 24.
i like it and i dont care if its in a mixed tape
indeed son
I wish MP3 apps had a filter to add tape hiss.
No. Vinyl’s crackle is 10/10.
Cassette’s “crackle” is 7/10.
I listen to 80s Japanese City Pop music in the background with this! :D
Amazing!
@@EsbenH Anything 80s and early 90s
And I also pitch it up a bit to sound like a cassette
I've caught wild sounds on my tapes before
Very scary sounds too like growls and audible single words
As a kid i made mix tapes off the radio *DAILY*
it was a hobby of mine I had like shoe boxes full of em
You may have been hearing ghosts. Ever heard of Konstantin Raudive? He presented a lot of work on how magnetic tape can capture the voices of ghosts
@@treestrax1072 oh no doubt I did I'm sure like I said I did it daily and the things I heard creeped me out in daytime
@@treestrax1072 the crazy part it was usually after the song I recorded too when it was just tape sounds I think one time I actually just put a blank tape in and record just to catch sounds
PhootPhetishPhilip ! how much cassettes did you buy
@@Scudmaster11 like 500
My tinnitus sounds just like tape hiss only loud as hell. I can't even tell this is playing without turning it up really loud. Makes editing and even listening to music difficult; I can't tell if the hiss I'm hearing is on the recording or in my head.
this is so relaxing and satisfying for some reason but i dont care i love it :)
Well deserved like! I used this video to remove noise effect from old song. Thank you!
This was the sound I've got used to hear everythime when I was erasing by mistake few seconds of the most beautiful part of a song, lol :) Until I've learned to cut the cassete's protective "ears" :D Thanks for sharing :)
Nice piece of Nostalgia! :D
Play this over some 1980's music to really get the feel!
Thanks, *atepgod* !... Sometimes a *tape hiss sample* like this is very useful as a reference for some *noise reduction plugins* to process a specific recording which contains certain types of noise.
Awesome sound
Gunna be a nice addition to my lofi house beat
Make sure to link your beat if you post it anywhere :D
@@atepgod I want to use this too
Please do and make sure to share the results
love u, just what i need
Lovely bit of noise, thanks for putting it up.
Gosh this sounds great... To me, tape hiss ads to the mystic of music. All the digital stuff you get now is just too sterile. It’s like (to me anyway) that we need to bring it back! :D
Exactly
Not only that PhootPhetishPhilip !, kids of today have missed out on the greatest thing of all: Mixtapes! Which are far better than just a boring old playlist!
@@BeAGoodDoga well this was like 1997 to 2003 I made mix tapes off the radio
Cool, man! Don’t get much more satisfying... imo.
@@BeAGoodDoga check out the comment I also left here
For some reason this kinda hurts my head
Thank you very much!💗🙏
awesome!
I can hear the ghost track playing in the background very subtly.
awesome do you have a link to download in flac or wav?
Thanks! May I ask why you recorded this with Dolby B? That is specifically there to reduce the hiss, isn't it?
Simple, this snippet was made from a digitization I was doing. After cropping all the tracks, I've noticed I have a lot of blank space left, so I arranged it and it sounded decent enough to post
@@atepgod Any chance that you could make a download available with the original audio files. And if so, would you also allow it to be used royalty free?
@@dealloc Sure, check back here in like a week and I'll post a bunch of hiss samples and all of them are free to use as you wish
@@atepgod Great! Thanks a bunch!
Good times
Sounds like 1992
Is there a download link for this?
I remember this sound. Barney’s Favorites, Volume 1 (1993), Volume 2 (1994), Run, Jump, Skip and Sing (1997), Sesame Street: Platinum All-Time Favorites (1995) and The Wiggles: Toot Toot! (1998) would be playing just like that in my mom’s 1999 Pontiac Montana everywhere at different times.
thanks babe
Lol
There's a note at 3:44. I hate it.
I put music over the hiss and couldn't hear it
Türk dil kurumu bu kasedi onaylamış galiba
What happens at 2:50?
I'm pretty sure this is where the white section of the tape plays. You know, the header where you couldn't record anything
It is the white section of the tape. It runs for certain seconds until the tape riches the end.
