Excellent video. I use a Bosch Blue Cordless hammer drill. The angled chisel bits never cease to amaze various trades who have borrowed it. This drill has had a hard life, and not missed a beat. I get the best quality bits and been surprised at how well they stay sharp. I find a smaller pilot hole sometimes helps.
Kango brand SDS drills are a good brand. Festool have an “Dust Removal Nozzle for Drilling” which attaches to to hose of the Festool dust extractor. I think it would work with any brand of drill or dust extractor. I will get it for my next project. I have the Festool CT26,with the cyclone, it works well.

Joe: Thanks for the question. The SDS plus, which is what the Bosch Bulldog accepts, isn’t interchangeable with SDS Max drills. The grooving is different and the Max is meant for heavier duty applications. Jason
It will more than likely “accept” the bit, but it will not work as design or intended. The standard drill has a three jaw chuck where as the SDS has slotting that keeps it from slipping during the drilling process. The drill specs are also different.

I have a general question about the difference between hammer drills and rotary hammer drills. I think that hammer drills have 3 modes: rotary only, hammer only, rotary & hammer. Rotary hammer drills have two modes: hammer only, rotary & hammer. Aside from the drill bit technology, is this an accurate summary of the operating modes?

Hi... I have a hammer drill, but not sds Chuck max 10 mm bit. The hammering produced is not enough to drill hole in concrete. Can I increase the hammering effect so that I can use the same machine or do I need to buy a sds hammering drill?. Kindly share your thoughts and ideas/tweeks. Can I convert my machine to sds chuck
I second the suggestion. I used to use hammer drills but I now use a rotary hammer. It's a night and day difference. In Singapore almost everything is reinforced concrete prefabs. Add 10 years to those and they are nigh impossible to drill with a hammer drill. Buy once, cry once. Even an 18v rotary hammer will be a better than a corded hammer drill.
I have to humbly apologize and say that I must have not been thinking clearly when I first replied. The adapters would be for the other way, as you probably saw, SDS to three jaw chuck. Sorry for the confusion.

@@WagnerMetersMain , SDS Max is a much larger dia shank than standard SDS or SDS+ and so would definitely not fit (At leas mine is!) :)
Hex drill bits are a different Design than SDS bits.

Your best bet is to just buy an SDS drill. It will perform better and last much longer.

The Makita is a hammer drill. The Bosch is a rotary hammer. It is formost a percussive tool as opposed to a drill.
