Can we appreciate the fact that Sonny T. isn’t even playing a left handed guitar, he’s playing a right handed guitar upside down... the man is incredible
I thought he was pulling a Hendrix at first, taking a right hand guitar and stringing it backwards to play left handed. But no. He's literally playing a right-hand guitar, stringed for right-hand players, flipped upside down. Crazy haha.
Ironically, . . every generation feels these things , and then its just more people . Dude that was surreal in the best possible way, I hope this pays off well enough to carry on for a long time. (P.S. if you ever get Jack Stratton on you've got to ask him his Holy Trinity of bass, we never got that video from him)
I thought the trailer was a spoof because these vulf peck dudes are always goofing around. I’m glad to see it’s real. Good luck Cory Wong and have fun !
I think Cory got his own lessons on HOW TO MUSICIAN well and now he has fans spanning across several (if not all) timezones. This pilot episode launches at 2:00 AM for me.
I saw Freemont Bosh at The Myriad Bar in downtown Albergonquin in 1976. Such a phenomenal gig. You could tell there was some disharmony in the group but at the same time it really added an element of danger to the music. Good times.
Cody is making a compelling case for being the coolest living human with every new thing he does. He’s the most prolific musician/artist I’ve ever seen, especially since the quality just keeps getting better.
Absolutely insane. Your attention to not only the music, but the direction, video editing, timing, comedy, and flow are all so high-quality. This was really fun
"In support of Dolphins...generally." God that killed me. Oh. That bit at the end of the interview with Cody? I can see why he and Jack Stratton get on so well.
Lol... I don’t know what this is or how I got here or where this came from... but 3 min in I can already get the vibe and concept and comedy of the show, and I diggit dammit... a music-comedy show that’s both silly and serious about the music, and they know exactly when to vere into what lane. they aren’t merely doing music skits and they are actually legit... I diggit!
amazing. This man has no limits, just needs to be continually given bigger and bigger platforms - he always delivers. Progress from the green screen band to live, to wong notes podcast to how to musician and now this - incredible. Thanks for the funk. Great intro for Sonny, love to six handed kev G. Luv ya
Remember when The Blues Brothers blew up on SNL and people thought they were a real group. Then they made a movie and even more people thought they were a real group? Now they're legends and people are wondering when they will get inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I sense the same thing happening here, except this is a real band. I just love being entertained and listening to great music. I hope Cory and Wongnotes blows up!
I mean, the Blues Brothers were a real group. Session players backing up two actors who also happened to be talented musicians and playing covers, which is pretty real.
Congrats to everyone involved! Such a great vibe - everyone looked like they were having a blast, so I couldn't help but smile all the way through. Cory is such an engaging personality at his live shows and built up hosting chops with his podcast and behind-the-scenes production videos, so it was great to see his interview segment maintain that energy while also incorporating his sense of humor (stripes!!!!!). That tune with Cody Fry was HOT. Looking forward to more!!
This is so good! I feel like this is what John Mayer was kind of angling for when he first started with his VH1 show back in the day, and now his Instagram live. He dabbled in stand up and guest night talk show hosting. But this is absolutely next level in general and especially for something that is fully produced by the artist himself. I have a feeling this is going to really take off. Incredibly creative and well put together.
Chris, I'm sorry my words offended you. Thanks for saying so. I'm sure you do a wonderful job teaching! My comment was more of a critique on an education system that needs some serious improvement IMO - not the talented teachers who sacrifice so much to help students. This is based on my own personal experiences having been a school teacher myself. I hope that helps.
i heard his parents named him after a variety show
It's so cool to see you via UA-cam 😆
You're not wong
I've heard they named him after a Vulfpeck tune, anyways they seem to have a total lack of imagination
@@ruhmankhalid6675 No, but Cory is
Btw, Wong = Wang = Ong family Chinese name. Has Cory any Chinese decendant like my American cousin?

I thought he was pulling a Hendrix at first, taking a right hand guitar and stringing it backwards to play left handed. But no. He's literally playing a right-hand guitar, stringed for right-hand players, flipped upside down. Crazy haha.
Eric Gales style!
I think Sonny T. played a bass strung upside down on "Lunchtime".
He has his bass strung as if it was for someone right handed too
Man, this is the revolution of the music industry!
yes!
Hey love your content! Always dig the Cory covers

lol what the only two channels I watch somehow collide. only thing stankier than an old nissan is cory wong
Nah the MCM boys are all over great music! Both Marty and Moog are incredibly talented musicians & producers, but dope to see them here I agree!
Cory went to all this trouble just to play the bass on a tune. Worth it.
This is amazing, they should totally name a song after this guy
Ikr? I can't believe someone hasn't done it yet!
Connor Berberek vulpeck named a song Cory Wong when he joined the band

Very stratton-esque
@Aden Dexter fake
Why is that whenever Cory and Cody make a song together it is always an absolute banger?
This whole interview is like a wholesome version of the andre show

Cory Wong might just be the grooviest cat on the planet right now. Love this!
I've seen Negah Santos on Jon Batiste's NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert...Strongly recommended for those who missed that great gig!

Also we have Satriani on the keys, so fine fine job young man.
Cory's got it all: talent, epic collabs, a great band, a left handed bass/guitarist
I will never be satisfied until I hear the Cory Wong / Steve from Blues Clues collaboration
