I'd like to see more videos like this. I like watching these older videos on life skills, which schools used to guide students with. I found that your commentary really added valuable insight and relevancy to the content of the showcased video.
It'd be pretty catastrophic if everyone from a broken home were an immediate write-off for ever getting married. Fully 23% of all children in the USA (as of 5 years ago) live with only one adult. To say nothing of those whose parents are cohabiting or remarried so there are two adults but it's still be a broken home. Man. I didn't come from a broken home myself, but it is straight up sad for me to hear anyone even question whether it's worth considering marriage with a person whose parents put them through that. It's not the fault of the child, and every individual is different: a child from a broken home can grow up to be loving, strong, and to value marriage and avoiding the mistakes of their parents. Just like a child who was abused can grow up to value being the kind of person who doesn't commit abuse. I hope people will remember to get to know the person, and make their decision based on the person. If there are issues in an individual case that make someone unready for marriage, then fine; but to categorically imply that anyone whose parents divorced, should now be relegated to a life of unmarriageable celibate hermitry.... Wow.
@@cardboardcapeii4286 maybe not just after meeting the girl get to know her on a platonic basis first once a good enough connection is established and you can see a glimmer of possible interests then ask her but every girl and woman is different because we are all individuals but when asked in general we prefer someone direct and honest about their intentions less confusion
Well I think these videos are the ultimate defeater of what C.S. Lewis called "Chronological snobbery". The belief that whatever comes after is automatically better. Woody is hilarious actually gives good advice and is still hilarious to watch.
May God bless you all. Does anyone know where I can submit a profoundly important question regarding my Christian life to be addressed in a video on this UA-cam channel?
@@Jimmy-z9n2c I am praying for you to reach out to your local Catholic Church to find someone to talk to who can get to know you and help you figure out a healthy next step for whatever your situation is. :) Alternately, I recommend the Catholic Answers UA-cam channel as a great resource if you have questions you need answered. They have answered so many over the years that they probably already have videos published that answer your specific question! :) But there's no substitute for in-person Catholic learning, so please do go to your most local Catholic Church to jumpstart some next step.

Hey Elizabeth, do you have a video on whether it's prudent to discern marriage with someone from a broken home?

5:00 What about "the way" he asked her? I've heard it's best to lead up to it rather than be upfront like he was on the first time
Nope we prefer clear straight it also shows you have confidence which is sexy.

Rather pray God for me because I'm not in Grace and I don't have anyone around who can impulse me to return
