No boredom here. Just happiness for you all: Leo, Chantelle, and the three boys. Exciting to see your journey. Have you all received your "Russian soul" yet. I feel I have mine, in Kentucky still. if that is even possible. Perhaps you know of what I speak. It will involve a knowing feeling you have done the right thing, and an appreciation for all things Russian, and a feeling of the need to assimilate -- a very strong feeling. (They call this the Russkaya Dusha -- literally, the Russian Soul. Some will say it's a myth, but don't believe them for a moment). You know, unlike the illegal immigrants pouring into your old home state -- flying their own flags, no appreciation or need to learn English, etc., or to participate in the "American Way". This used to be a thing, and has no meaning now. I believe you are in the "land of the north" as spoken in the Book of Ezekiel. I hope to meet you all should I be able to make the journey. Slava Bog!
Absolutely understand! Yes we love it here and plan to assimilate as quickly as possible. We pray that you can make it here one day. Lord bless you and keep you safe. 🙏🇷🇺
Dear friends! You may visit the services, to stay there Even if you understand nothing you can get Spiritual support from Jesus the CHrist invisibly/ You ll feel that in your aura in your heart definitely. Peace and quietness and protection... to buy an icon and light a candle at home))) To be fair it's a very simple and old habbit to remember about God's presense in our life/ That big picture on the wall was Archangel Gabriel who brought the holy message to Vergin Mary and handed her a white lily as a mark of being chosen by God's will))

One big difference between Orthodox Christianity and western branches of Christianity is that during service people stand before god instead of sitting. You can stand before god or kneel before god only.
@mw6267 Well if you are wheelchair bound or an elderly person with a walking stick who has a hard time standing then of course it will be overlooked but there is a reason there are no pews in orthodox Christian churches because sitting before god is overall considered disrespectful.

It would be correct to ask permission from the priest in the temple in which you will be filming. I think you are unlikely to be prohibited from doing this if you film your child’s christening or anything similar concerning you or your friends. In any case, it is better to ask permission.
Short answer: No! For most Russians, Christianity means hitting up church twice a year: Christmas and Easter. And don't forget the almost totally secular afterparties. True believers wouldn't be okay with what Russia is doing to its neighbors. If Christ were there, locals would be praying 24/7 for peace, not for territorial gains to justify everything the Kremlin is doing.
@@Running2Christ I was born in the USSR, so I probably have a deeper understanding of these people than you ever will. I’m guessing the thought that moving to Russia after one of your kids said "let’s move to Russia" might have been a mistake has crossed your mind more than once by now.
@@crazyivan2356 No mistake about moving here. Why do you think that? It goes so much deeper than a kid saying, "hey let's move to Russia". Это Архангел Гавриил во время Благовещания. Он изображается с райскими цветами в правой руке.

An extraordinarily beautiful church, from its structure it can be understood that it is ancient.

Not necessarily. When I am tired I sit down however most places during liturgy are taken by babushkas 😂

Interesting video. Thank you!
It's an Orthodox church. I didn't know they allowed to make videos in there.

Not at this time. We must learn more about it. We are in school so to speak, learning stages.
