Thanks for this video. Very helpful. Also very jealous of the adventure you two are having. I’m one year out from my three-month solo cycle across Japan. Any advice on gear (e.g. anything you have since ditched or plan to change about your current set up?)
Hello I know this is an old video but can you tell me what wheels and tires you used. I'm trying to figure out how many spokes is acceptable for light touring.
Hey! Of course. I have wheels with 36 spokes and haven’t broken a spoke (yet) in over 25000km. 40mm schwalbe marathon or marathon plus tyres depending on the terrain are the best for no punctures and durability. Hope that helps!
If your a weight weenie. Every tourist brings what they need to be personally comfortable. Long-term touring requires not only what is needed practicality but also mentally to keep you strong mentally.
Definitely seems like too much gear. That being said, most people take way too much "stuff" on their first tour and their packs diminish by half on their next tour.
Sleepy bien sleep system🤣😂 great setup guys!

No offence but her kit & her bike looks like it needs a really deep clean. Her kit looks filthy.
You deleted my comment because you didn't like seeing how to do it right? Shame on you.
