About Two Hours One Life
Two Hours One Life is an unofficial release of the popular open source game, One Hour One Life originally created by Jason Rohrer.
To quote Jason himself, “This game is about playing one small part in a much larger story.”
Welcome to a “multiplayer survival game of parenting and civilisation building.”
Our main difference is the ability to live twice as long as you usually would (hence the name). Along with this we also offer many unique mechanics and play styles from the official game.
About One Hour One Life
This game is about playing one small part in a much larger story. You only live an hour, but time and space in this game is infinite. You can only do so much in one lifetime, but the tech tree in this game will take hundreds of generations to fully explore.
This game is also about family trees. Having a mother who takes care of you as a baby, and hopefully taking care of a baby yourself later in life. And your mother is another player. And your baby is another player. Building something to use in your lifetime, but inevitably realizing that, in the end, what you build is not for YOU, but for your children and all the countless others that will come after you. Proudly using your grandfather's ax, and then passing it on to your own grandchild as the end of your life nears.
And looking at each life as a unique story. I was this kid born in this situation, but I eventually grew up. I built a bakery near the wheat fields. Over time, I watched my grandparents and parents grow old and die. I had some kids of my own along the way, but they are grown now... and look at my character now! She's an old woman. What a life passed by in this little hour of mine. After I die, this life will be over and gone forever. I can be born again, but I can never live this unique story again. Everything's changing. I'll be born as a different person in a different place and different time, with another unique story to experience in the next hour...

@@paintedpagan4899 Yeah, last thing he said about it was many months ago, and it was mostly him complaining about mask mandates with a brief mention of bug fixes. These days he's most often seen silently playing other games on discord.

He still updates regularly dude. I haven't played in ages but I still get the emails about the updates. The people running this should be ashamed of themselves. 100% rip off of an innovative and attention holding title made by an indie dev who is not only a great developer but a genius game designer.
Awesome to see you playing 2HOL! Some tips and tricks that are 2hol specific (for as far as I know, I never play OHOL anymore):
- you were walking around with a curved branch. To be more efficient, you can put two curved branches on top of each other and hold BOTH of them and then head home. Double the kindlings!
- bonemeal remains awesome for early farms, like your sister that died. (Bones in basket, click on bowl, hit bowl with round stone, et voila, bonemeal to grow plants, like your tomatoes, faster)
- sadly, no different coloured horses when breeding (that's minecraft ;-)) You can find black horses in desert and white ones in green biomes
(Haven't finished watching your entire vid yet, halfway through, but I'll return to watch the rest later. ^^)

FIRST? Also twisted those beehives on the cypress tree you can eat if u knock it down with a long shaft and cut it with a sharp stone or knife, bees will spawn and chase you tho and give you yellow fever however but u can stand on something to be safe still. You can make flat bread with 1/4 of a bowl of dough by putting dough on a flat rock and using a round stone and turkey cant be cooked in an adobe oven anymore only in the advanced oven which needs glass and kerosene. You can also make baked bread with a flint knife so a bronze or steel knife isnt as needed right away. If you have an apple you can make an apple pie.
It will certainly help new players you brought into the game with your Tik-Tok post! In my opinion this video makes it a great tutorial, covering all the basics.

Twisted! I think you did great, as I have been playing THOL lately coming from OHOL, it is definitely different. Most people in THOL haven't even played OHOL and they don't understand my struggle with all the exclusive content and slight differences that THOL has. But its super cool. Also, watching this helped me understand the early game a lot better. Thanks for sharing, you the man! Good job dude, looking forward to the next upload whatever it may be. :D
I have really gotten into this game a lot lately. I started it a while ago but was so used to OHOL that I was super overwhelmed. Got bored of OHOL, tried 2HOL again. I'm already at 100 hours played and I've only got 352 in the original. Absolute madness.

This was my first time watching you play 2hol and it looks much chiller than ohol. I will definitely be checking it out
I love these other spin offs of OHOL. Both Two Hours One Life and the mobile version, You Are Hope are a lot of fun and bring their own unique spin on the concept. On the phone version I love how I can use the bear caves as mines, and eventually tame a bear to ride it to help fish. And I love how in two hours one life how it has different animals and the fact I can get a kitty.

I love your channel. I bought the mobile version and the game is amazing
(OHOL suggestion for IF you become Eve ) you should make a video where you start as Eve and during your lifetime you try to turn your Eve town into pretty much a content town. And another thing is that try to Atleast to make everybody have jobs, if they can walk, they can work. So like farmers, chefs, forgers/smiths, etc. And try to make the city super advanced in just 60 minutes, another thing you don’t have to do is teach ur kids what to do so that after you die they will still be developing the town
cool except he can't guarantee an eve spawn on OHOL... eve spawns are very rare in that game, in 2HOL you can choose to be an eve whenever you want
I love watching you play, but honestly I sometimes get whiplash with the way you change from talking about doing one thing to immediately talking about doing another thing 🤣 I guess am too old for the fast pace haha. Seems like a fun spin on ohol

Since accounts are free „banning“ is not really super effective. And you get potential super-griefers from previledged moderators. You see many griefers, generally you just quit and come back later.
