    This one is simply: The formula for when hydroplanning sets in is: Speed (in knots) = 9 X the square root of the tire pressure (in psi.) If you're over it then it will work regardless of vehicle type, weight,...

      You should try mixing red vtech with sea world stickers and that thing is going to hydroplane across the ocean when vtec kicks in yo, I heard they have new stickers from NASA in red.

  • @NeilLB7
    @NeilLB7 9 років тому +9

    This is entirely possible. The morons on here who call it fake have only a child's education about the physical properties of water. Water has quite the surface tension and can easily support certain amounts of weight for some time. The amount of time here is small because of the forward velocity. Case in point...a man jumps off the golden gate bridge into the water. He dies on impact. Why doesn't he just live like any rube jumping into a pool? Because at high velocity...the water may as well be concrete.

    • @sainthood551
      @sainthood551 9 років тому

      tofsen n density doesn't matter much you can catch Hydroplane in your car when it's raining and your driving near the curves where there's more water then in the middle of the street, it's dangerous and people can crash because they loose control, they teach you the dangers about this in Drivers ED, and tell us not to drive fast when it rains near the curves

      If the jumping man streamlines himself (i.e. by entering feet first and head last), then he'll cut through the water like a hot knife through butter.

    Surface tension of the water keeps the ATV up but if u dont stay going full speed the ATV will sink because the surface tension of water only last for briefest moment so he is going fast enough that the atv is moving so it does not break thru

    Nice vid, we happen to do that with "Karts" (but only with a min of 400cc, because otherwise we sink... lol, happenned to us already) on small lakes of like 20-30m wide... with very high speed (more than 110km/h, usualy trying about 130/140km/h but then we have a short space to brake so it's hard to manage) ... and we use winter or modified sand kart tires to keep a grip on water not to lose too much speed and we'll definitely have to dive the 3-4m deep lake to get back the karts... ahaha

  • @killercason5
    @killercason5 12 років тому
