Wow Erin! Not in a million years would I be able to use a cricut but it sure was interesting to watch. I’m 72 and there is only so much room in my brain for all the new technology- I consider myself a genius for understanding most if not all about how to use my iPhone. I am in awe of what you can achieve on a Cricut and I always look at the digital downlods wishing I could buy them and use them but I’m a complete technophobe. However I really enjoy watching these miracles on paper and your tutorial was fascinating

This video is exactly what I needed. Thank you so much for showing the entire process including how you print and cut. I just couldn't understand that part of it and avoided the digital products because of this. Now I can understand it and use my Cricut.
Great tutorial Erin! Creating that border and "print and cut"-ing it is an awesome tool!! I am updating this comment after creating my spring flowers. Print and cut 1 image went just fine, but when I attempted to p&c 3 images, the black lines the cricut scans to align the cut were off the top of the page, again and again. I recalibrated, updated firmware, and finally called Cricut. The fix was simple, just change my page size in settings from 8.5"x11" to 8.5"x 14. Voila, print and cut was perfect. I'm all set to create cute Easter layouts. Thanks again Erin!!

Excellent tutorial! I’ve had my Cricut 2 years and have been teaching myself. This is definitely the best tutorial I have watched and you answered several questions I have. Great video! I started with the baby Cricut, then the mini (😮), the Air & then to the Maker. I would pull up one or two UA-cam videos and practice doing it all week. Since, I have taught a few classes to beginners. Hugs, Diane.

Thank you Claudia, I try to get them uploaded into Design Space right after purchasing but I am not always good about it. Print and Cut has turned out to be a lot of fun, you should definitely give it a go.

Oh my gosh. This tutorial was so very helpful Erin!! I attempted the print and cut feature once but didn't get a printed image. I missed quite a few steps. I'll be able to take my scrapbook pages and cards to a few level now. I'm so grateful!! If you can do any more tutorials using the special features of Cricut in relation to our craft, please do. I've bought a few Digital Arts from CTMH, but I think I might have to get more now that I know how to use this feature. You are awesome!

Very interesting. I need to update to a new Cricut. I know I do not want a Maker as I would not use it in detail like those. What one should I get? I have one now that uses the cartridges.

I am glad the tutorial was helpful! The possibilities are endless and a lot of fun. I have come across images in Design Space that are specifically Print and Cut only, you could not alter them but I am always learning so maybe there is a way. I did see a Cricut update from two weeks ago showing how to turn a flat image you upload into layers but it was for access members only.

Great tutorial! I am unclear as to how you go from the printed images on cardstock to get the cricut to cut it out. I’m new to using my cricut even though I’ve had it a while.

Is there any way to get the digital downloads of the 6x8 layouts and 12x12 layouts that you had a couple years ago. I just found your channel and where you mentioned them. I tried to purchase them but it didn't go thru. I am new to scrapbooking and think this would be a great help in making a layout. Thanks. Jill
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I really needed this video. One question, you said no matter what you can only cut 8 1/2 x 11. How do you cut the backgrounds like the lattice, since they are larger? If you said it in the video, I missed it.
You are very welcome! That is a good question, the 8.5 x 11 is only limiting for the print and cut feature. You can cut a background or any other cut up to 11.5" on the Cricut.
Erin, great video…after watching this I finally got the nerve to calibrate my Cricut Explorer 2 and did 2 print and cuts…my first! I have the same printer as yours…can you please tell me where to insert the White Daisy cardstock? I used a Canon for my first print and cuts, but would like to use my Epson XP970 for these. TY.
I am so glad you gave it a try 😀! I like to feed my cardstock through the rear tray so it doesn't have to bend around corners. You have to select the rear tray in the computer in the print dialog box and then the printer will prompt you to load the paper.
Erin, is there a chart for CTMH colors to use on the cricut? The rbg codes that match our ink/paper colors?
Hello, Julie has created one as an exclusive gift for the members of the Creative Design Team. I have no idea how she figures out the RGB codes but it is nice to have.
Erin my question may sound silly but, is it very expensive to print these projects out. Like does it use a lot of ink?
A bit harder for me. All steps up to calibration great… but now calibration is so frustrating 😮
I purchased numerous CTMH digital files. Today I tried importing the file and it did not work. Then I realized all my downloaded CTMH digital files are all HTML files. What did I do wrong?
I know you already figured it out but I’ll answer for others who may have the same issue. If you are on a PC you will need to unzip the files first. Enjoy your collections!
