Great video, and I know you were only including playoff losses, but one loss that could have been included was the game against the Raiders on the last week of the 1999 season. A win would have secured a playoff berth and the AFC West. Rich Gannon, who backed up Elvis Grbac during his time in Kansas City, carved up the defense in a shootout for the ages. Grbac, to his credit, played one of the best games of his career. But it wasn't enough as in OT Joe Nedney nailed a 33-yard FG to end the 1999 season for the Chiefs. That roughing the passer call was one of the most trash calls I've ever seen. Glad you included the 9ers celebration in the endzone. A lot of videos don't do that but I felt like it was a turning point in the game. Great video.
those losses in the 90s were a source of great consternation. it seemed the luckless chief's would never get over that hump and that curse. it took 40 years but the chief's finally got back to the top of the football world. and it was about time. i was about to lose hope.
Appreciate this video and the other content you have. But man it seems like this curse rears its ugly head once in a while. And it was on full display yesterday. It’s like Reid’s brain just went into 2013-17 mode again.
This brought back memories of a lot of great trips to ARROW HEAD! Followed by heart breaking losses. Year after year. Anger, misery hit a dude from Denver next 2me. Hot dam we won ! Still want to hit the dumb from Denver .
For so many years, a horror story ending in missed field goals, fumbles, interceptions, off-side penalties and the like. Seemingly, from the the Christmas Day 1971 game which Jan Stenerud missed two reasonably easy field goals to and through three and a half quarters of Super Bowl VIV, the Chiefs were doomed. Now, the story is ending far differently and with greater success. Go Chiefs!
Its extremely painful watching those losses! I grew up as a Chiefs fan in the late 80's watching Schottenheimer and the gang I couldn't understand how we could lose games in the playoffs after playing so well in the regular season it was heart-braking!! So many good teams and we came so close with Montana I truly believe if Joe Montana was in his prime with the Chiefs it would have been a different story but noe we have Mahomes! Things are going to change Mahomes is the curse-breaker!!
Not gonna lie. I cry tears of joy knowing the chiefs got back on top. Been a fan since I saw them back in 97 vs the broncos at arrow Head stadium. Told my dad whatever team wins I'll follow them the rest of my life. Obviously cheifs won that game.
@@petrofor3430 under? I am not sure what that means, but I saw it disappear for a second behind the crossbar. I watched it a few times to make sure. Looked good to me.. Edit: it was 2:13 just to make sure we see same one, wow looked good. I'm a saints fan so don't get me started on those refs
@@petrofor3430 It seemed like the team thought they had it, they ere celebrating at first, but see if you can catch it, the ball seems to disappear for just a second behind the cross bar. It is pretty hard to see, I will look the game up and see if I can find any info.
The amount of bad luck we had to have to lose some of those playoff games,,,blown 30 point leads..qb's fumbling to themselves for touchdowns...qbs throwing themselves touchdowns, Interceptions called back cuz ford can't line up, phantom roughing the passer calls, clear fumble by mariota in titan game a few years ago, ref calls it forward progress, ( ref retired after that )...man it was nice to catch some breaks this year.
My hate for KC is deep, but Its deeper for the niners and the Pats. This Raider fan was pulling for you guys in the PO/SB ! You will win the AFC west again this year, but my raiders are on the rise! If they don't choke the draft, we should have some good games in the near future.
Yeah I was looking in getting Mitch at least for the final td but I didn’t like how it synced up. Can’t change it now though since this video blew up randomly. But ya I wish I would have used holthus gosh I love his voice
I always listen to the radio broadcast. Mitch rules. I can't stand hearing whatshisname from Seattle (wide receiver) call a game. To me he sounds like he is constipated. I also like listening to Denny for my boys in blue. Let's bring as many championships to this town as we can hold.
The Chiefs could be looking at literally five Super Bowls in a row if: -Dee Ford lines up onside -Literally anyone on the o line is healthy for SB LV -Tyreek cuts inside on the final play of the first half in the 2021 AFC Championship
And if Jimmy g hit Emmanuel sanders on that deep ball and had Jalen hurts not fumbled to nick Bolton the chiefs coulda been ringless! Just thankful they got 2 in my lifetime
6:30...Holmes fumble killed any hope Chiefs had in that Colts no punt playoff gm. It came down to which defense was going to force a punt or turnover and the Colts D forced a turnover.
Micah Hayes not to mention tony Gonzalez “push off”, which I’ll admit was a slight push but is rarely called. Johnnie Morton also had a huge drop after that on 3rd down which led to the missed FG. Game could have easily been won by Kc
@@petrofor3430 Im from KC, been living in Denver since 07. I ran into Johnnie Morton in the eating area at Whole Foods here a few years ago. He was with his gf but invited me to sit with them once i notcied who he was. We talked football forever and he gave me a ride home. Really cool nice dude.
There was/is a lot of complaints about questionable calls for us in the Superbowl. I say we DESERVED every favorable call we got ! We've suffered enough ❤
I'll be honest, this is so hard to watch. It's crazy how close we've been so many times. My hatred of Denver still runs deep from 97... Tony was in bounds. I can only hope mahomes can make the NFL pay for all the misery we've gotten.
Gonzalez was definitely in but we win that game if Gannon starts, no doubts. I was furious for that decision he made. Im like you start the injured quarterback for the dude that won you the last five games in a row?!!! Outrageous.
Im sorry, i cant take the pain from all the sad lose , So i fastward to 13:20 and enjoyed the winning of KC Chiefs, Patrick "SHOWTIME" Mahomes 2(GOAT) and Andy Reid(GOAT).
Gotta disagree with that. Vermeil and Schottenheimer were legendary coaches. 03, 95, 97, and 71 teams were super loaded. And the 2013-2018 chiefs were really good
My bad I must admit I didn't watch the whole video at first and I decide to watch the whole video in wow I was seriously mistaken we did have a lot of floki plays in missed field goals WTF great video
That's the way of winning not cheating, stealing signals or using your mentality of opposing use of technology against other teams for that I rather play videogames and last you re not a winner when you buy championships

Hell yes !
those losses in the 90s were a source of great consternation. it seemed the luckless chief's would never get over that hump and that curse. it took 40 years but the chief's finally got back to the top of the football world. and it was about time. i was about to lose hope.
This video had my blood boiling. I just wish you would have added in the playoff games from this year as well. All in all nice video 👍🏾
Right.
Appreciate this video and the other content you have. But man it seems like this curse rears its ugly head once in a while. And it was on full display yesterday. It’s like Reid’s brain just went into 2013-17 mode again.
Kids today will never know. They'll see vids like this, but they'll never know. We've entered into the Golden Age of Mahomes. #InPatWeTrust
Really good video dude lol. Loved it. Go Chiefs!
Appreciate it! Go chiefs!!!!
Now they have TWO SB WINS❤❤❤❤
Go Chiefs!
I can’t watch the first 13 minutes of this. It kills me.
Those painful losses really bothered me.
Not gonna lie. I cry tears of joy knowing the chiefs got back on top. Been a fan since I saw them back in 97 vs the broncos at arrow Head stadium. Told my dad whatever team wins I'll follow them the rest of my life. Obviously cheifs won that game.
stoyanovich for president !!
@@petrofor3430 , Yeah I remember that kick he had and the Chiefs beat the Broncos 24-22. I was at that game.
Fuck me man, this is why we can have good things.
Chiefs Forever #1 Nation
Let’s not forget Abner Haynes Fluid drive, Bell, Buchanan, Lynch, Wilson, Marseilles, Mays, Holub, Tyler, Arbanas, Garrett, Podolack, Holub, Wilson’s, Stram, Culp, Jan, Taylor, Buford, Lowery,
2:06 that field goal was good
Was under the crossbar
@@petrofor3430 under? I am not sure what that means, but I saw it disappear for a second behind the crossbar. I watched it a few times to make sure. Looked good to me..
Edit: it was 2:13 just to make sure we see same one, wow looked good. I'm a saints fan so don't get me started on those refs
Valerie Folse haha yes you’re well aware about those damn refs. Idk the kick looks to be a little short but it’s very hard to see.
@@petrofor3430 It seemed like the team thought they had it, they ere celebrating at first, but see if you can catch it, the ball seems to disappear for just a second behind the cross bar. It is pretty hard to see, I will look the game up and see if I can find any info.
Awesome video, thank you
Thank you for watching and enjoying :)
Loved the footage. Redundant music a bit tortuous, but so were the losses. Wish the losses could be muted...
As a chiefs fan this makes me want to go tackle my mom go chiefs
Savion Da goat don’t hurt her too bad 😂😂
PetroFor3 😂😂👌
Damn 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@derekmathews1557 😭😭
Good luck with that! Signed, A Mom😂
11:00 the way they gave that game to NE was so obvious
my dad has been waiting for that moment for 30 years and me well only about 4 but yeah

yes a long time coming at last at last the time is now for our turn to shine as champs
Great video
My hate for KC is deep, but Its deeper for the niners and the Pats. This Raider fan was pulling for you guys in the PO/SB ! You will win the AFC west again this year, but my raiders are on the rise! If they don't choke the draft, we should have some good games in the near future.
Thank you. Some good games are very close on the horizon
This hurt... but it was worth it!!!
My dad cried when they won
Props on the Metallica intro
Great Job!
Thanks for watching GO CHIEFS
PetroFor3 yesss sir!!
PetroFor3 yesss sir!!
Change the commentary to Mitch Holthtus and how bout those chiefs to the end. Perfecto!
The Chiefs could be looking at literally five Super Bowls in a row if:
-Dee Ford lines up onside
-Literally anyone on the o line is healthy for SB LV
-Tyreek cuts inside on the final play of the first half in the 2021 AFC Championship
And if Jimmy g hit Emmanuel sanders on that deep ball and had Jalen hurts not fumbled to nick Bolton the chiefs coulda been ringless!
Just thankful they got 2 in my lifetime
Man these damn chiefs have been thru it! 😕Hopefully we have a patriots like type dynasty the next few years.. without the cheating scandals 😂
Absouletely
That roughing the Passer call was BS
Absouletely! I can’t believe they made that call.
i remember all this
Im hungreeee for another chiefs super bowl win, and then party
Me too !!
Micah Hayes wow that’s insane. Seems like a good dude. I always loved the worm. He’ll probably be the subject to my next highlight actually
@@micahhayes8770, really cool.
Kansas city chiefs♥️
There was/is a lot of complaints about questionable calls for us in the Superbowl. I say we DESERVED every favorable call we got ! We've suffered enough ❤
So well said we really did. Go chiefs :)!!
Extactly!
I'll be honest, this is so hard to watch. It's crazy how close we've been so many times. My hatred of Denver still runs deep from 97... Tony was in bounds. I can only hope mahomes can make the NFL pay for all the misery we've gotten.
I get the feeling he will 😈
Gonzalez was definitely in but we win that game if Gannon starts, no doubts. I was furious for that decision he made. Im like you start the injured quarterback for the dude that won you the last five games in a row?!!! Outrageous.
All those upsets man o man! But guess what Chiefs Kingdom we are the mother fucking Champions! How about those Chiefs!!!!!!!!!
You're a Chiefs bandwagon so I suggest you just stfu.
Good work, but now i feel like having a Modelo!
😭😭😭😭
Some really bad refereeing in some of those past postseason games. Especially that roughing the passer with New England.
Yeah that was BS. Complete BS!
The Nightmare Years.....
Im sorry, i cant take the pain from all the sad lose , So i fastward to 13:20 and enjoyed the winning of KC Chiefs, Patrick "SHOWTIME" Mahomes 2(GOAT) and Andy Reid(GOAT).
Acts of Kindness nah
Go chiefs
It wasn't a curse we just never really had the talent and coaching that we actually need
@@petrofor3430 you are so right I owe you an apology
Michael Young no apology needed go Chiefs!!!
That's the way of winning not cheating, stealing signals or using your mentality of opposing use of technology against other teams for that I rather play videogames and last you re not a winner when you buy championships
