Hearing Courtney say "pre-recording" immediately sends my mind to George Carlin's "It’s like “pre-recorded” - “This program was pre-recorded.” Well, of course it was pre-recorded! When else are you gonna record it, afterwards? That’s the whole purpose of recording; to do it beforehand.”

I work in a nursing home and during COVID we had a guy with one leg pass away. The next day A resident said she saw a one legged man wheeling through the hallway at night. We just kinda laughed and told her she was crazy but then another resident said the same thing, then another resident and another. All these residents that saw the one legged man wheeling through the hallway at night were located in different wings of the nursing home so they had no way to plan the fabrication of this story. After a while us workers were like oh hell nah!!!

The one saying that the bodies will make grunting sounds because the body still has air in their lungs is so creepy. It would seem like a person turning into a zombie or something.
That is a weird story of the guy who took the jewelry from the dead body and then he ended up dying himself. It sounds like a plot from a horror movie. Ghost screams, "How dare you steal my rings, earrings and necklaces!"
That one of the mortician having to sew the dead person's mouth shut is so creepy. Reminds me of those horror movies. I'm thinking it was the movie "Saw" that had a scene of one of the characters having their mouth sewn shut while still alive, but not sure.

My cat has my permission to eat my body, they are my babies and if no one checks on me for awhile, I want to know they are eating and hopefully survive so someone can take them in. I was there to see my Husband die, 20 minutes later his body did " relax" more and heard it a small amount, we sort of jumped but all kind of knew what it was, doesn't make it easier in full out grief in the moment.

Yes, when I was a kid I used to swim all over the place on my back in Mission Bay in San Diego. It takes very little effort, and being in salt water helps with buoyancy.

I took a literature class in college about vampires and we learned about the origins of the vampire legends. One of the things we learned had to do with the grunting and sounds the body makes after death. During the black plague, when they had to dig mass graves, there was a lot of decomposition and gas build up, and people would hear grunting in the middle of the night, or the gas build up would cause a body to “pop.” Because of the sounds, people thought that it was the dead coming back to life and that’s where some vampire legends come from. We also learned that hair and nails may continue to grow after death, which is why people thought they’d come back to life and why they had such long nails. These stories of the groaning/grunting in the morgues reminded me of that class and I thought it was super interesting

If his scratchy meow started after you moved, make sure your AC filter is changed/cleaned. Also try shampooing the rugs. I bet it's something there triggering a mild reaction. Your vet should've given him a course of steroids, just 7 days tapeded dose. I have 34+ yrs cat experience & some have had mild allergies.

When I was just starting my career in medicine (4+ years ago) I had to do my first postmortem care on one of my residents. Another caregiver was in there with me. The resident passed away in her recliner and we were told to clean and change her there. As she was rolled on her left side (where I was) I heard water running/pouring. I looked around the room as I was holding her confused to what I was hearing. I then felt my foot was becoming warm and wet. We rolled her back on her back and saw that her fluids were pouring out of her mouth and nose. It looked like poop water and had no smell tbh. Her family came in there and baby talked to her cleaning her mouth and nose. I looked at the CNA and asked what else needed to be done and she said we were all done till she is to be picked up by the morgue. I walked out of the room not talking and went to the boss and asked if I could go change my shoes and socks. I went to my car honestly shocked by what happened and didn’t talk for the rest of my 12 hr shift. I have more stories from that work place as well.

Back in the 80s, you could get an action figure of Batman, where if you squeezed his legs together. Batman would punch things.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised a dead guy would have a similar sort of action feature, and kinda puts a new spin on the "5 POINTS OF ARTICULATION!" selling point 😂

Cats can sometimes go hoarse just from meowing too much. Just like when we talk or sing too much we lose our voices. Unfortunately they don't understand, and just keep meowing, making it worse. Just make sure he's got plenty of water. (I'm sure you do anyway) 🙂🐈

Yeah, I used to go to a dance where these two 16-year-old girls would drink a bunch of Cokes or Jolt colas and scream until they got laryngitis. They did this every single week. Similarly, I've heard little girls have screaming contests although I've never heard of cats having meowing contests.

I've actually literally seen some women glowing when they were attracted to me. I would guess that what I'm actually seeing is red or passion, although to me, it appears white. Anger is similar and makes a person's face appear hazy. People can shut down (contract, such as anger or fear) or expand. The aura extends outside the body; the body is the densest part of the aura.

You are actually born with all your adult teeth, they are just stored in the mandible and maxilla bones until you reach a certain age, when you lose your baby teeth the adult teeth are all ready fully formed and push the baby teeth out. Some people are not born with wisdom teeth at all, and other are born with them, but they never erupt. So you cannot tell age because if wisdom teeth, as they can erupt anywhere between the age of 16-26. Look up x-rays of children teeth, its wild seeing both sets just sitting there waiting, lol.
