I'm all for two-tone uniforms for the teams playing in the Stadium Series games - Devils in red and black, Flyers in white and orange, Isles in blue and orange, and Ranger in white and blue.
I would love an all white/orange Philly jersey. I think it's worth noting that the Lehigh Valley Phantoms wore uniforms exactly like that in the AHL last year. All white/orange - including the pants/gloves. Could be possible they were doing a test run for the parent club??
I absolutely love the phantoms all white, growing up in the valley the whiteout games have always been fun over the last few years they’ve done it so it’d be cool to see them do it for Philly
2023, 2022, 2020, 2016, 2015, and 2007 were all good jerseys but fundamentally safe choices. Glad to see these jerseys go a bit off the deep end. They are only worn for a weekend so they do not need to be safe picks imo
I’m a Devils fan from Jersey and honestly i’d prefer a 80s throwback where the base color is black and the stripes are red, and the logo is the colors of the “Jersey” jersey but with the NJ logo. Might sound confusing but enjoyed the video all together!
What would be the rationale for officially announcing the jerseys only a week or two before the event (especially if they've already been shipped to retailers)? That'd make it impossible for fans travelling to the game (like myself) to buy a jersey and receive it before the game. Unless they're hoping to press more fans into buying the jerseys at the game itself?
Couple of possibilities. Marketing calendar could be wanting to focus entirely on All-Star and then do Stadium Series pushes once that’s over. Or could be that historically Stadium Series jerseys haven’t sold well enough prior to the game that it doesn’t matter how far in advance they release them. But I’d definitely recommend that if you’re going to the game you purchase in person. Shipping from Fanatics is notoriously tricky.
@@icethetics Ah, I especially buy the focus on pushing the ASG stuff, which would be over 2 weeks before the Stadium Series. If they wanted to push those ASG jerseys they should have made them less awful though haha (I appreciate trying something new and wacky, but it seems to be a very resounding swing and a miss for the vast majority of people). Having an ASG draft also makes customized jerseys tricky. I’m assuming the NHL will just sell player names on the assigned division color for simplicity, which in many cases will be different than the color actually worn by the player on ice for the drafted team they play on, which matters to some people. I’ll definitely buy the Stadium Series jersey in person if they don’t heat press the names/numbers (which has prevented me from buying Adidas jerseys from the Devils Den at Prudential in the past and, if I’m not mistaken, has happened for other events like last year’s ASG).
I just think of butter every time I see that logo. All the talented designers that we see in the concept showcase and they go with Bieber's Butter instead...
Ok, a buttery NHL logo sounds delicious. But yeah, all these years and the NHL still has yet to ask anyone from the Concepts Showcase to design a jersey. Come on already! 😅
At first glance, I thought this was a joke, but I like that they are trying something different with these. The oversized logo as well as the three Adidas stripes down the side. Interesting… Let’s see how the uniform looks on the ice
I find these jerseys horrendous, but then again I appreciate I am not the target audience for them. Through its collaboration with Bieber, it's clear the league is catering to younger, likely more casual viewers. The stripes going down the sleeve, at a moment when 80s style tracksuits are enjoying a comeback in mainstream fashion, seems too "hype" to be coincidental, especially worn during an event that is prone to short-format highlight-reels easy to share and digest on social media. All of this being said and understood, it does not take away from the fact these crests look like the symbol indicating a challenge in a 2000s era snowboarding video game
I really like that they’re doing the 4 jerseys for all stars, but I really dislike the jerseys themselves. The look like peewee hockey all star jerseys. Maybe it’s just me but I feel like the creative department could have done some far better jerseys.
i wonder if the flyers do a black version with the monochromatic burnt orange logo and details. so jersey in red, flyers in black. similar to the pittsburgh-philly stadium series
A red/black vs black/orange matchup on white ice would be tough to watch, and not just for viewers with colorblindness. I think Pitt-Philly worked because the yellow contrasts better against black. That said, I do love a good color-vs-color game and I would accept this idea. 😅
Whether they're on hangars or being worn in the marketing photos, It is maddening to continue to see the NHL and NHL teams use MiC versions that fans can't buy at retail. It feels purposely misleading.
I think that was the basis for a lawsuit, in fact. But as far as that Rangers jersey, I think they’re just showing what the players are actually wearing. All-Star jerseys all appear to be Indonesian-made.
Admittedly, I don’t really know all the ins and outs of retail jerseys. How do you know the ones in those photos are made in Canada without seeing the collar?
Yeah, nothing yet. Probably still waiting to confirm everything? Or maybe they’re saving the announcement for a pre-All-Star media conference in Toronto?
I have followed the NHL all my life. Loved the old early 90's version. The World vs North America and a few others. These look like the belong Under the sea in a Sponge Bob Cartoon.
Curious how you following the NHL all your life relates to an All-Star jersey resembling a very popular television show to you. Maybe I missed the connection? 🤔
Aiming for a late February release. It’s written but still needs to be edited and there’s a lot of stuff coming up. Stadium Series jersey release and all-time ranking (like I did for Winter Classic), possible Sharks third, and planning a JerseyWatch midseason report. It’s definitely in the queue, just a tricky time of year. I’m glad you’re enjoying the series!
As someone who doesn’t like this design, I don’t want something more traditional. I just want something more creative. When it could be mistaken for a practice jersey, it just doesn’t scream “creative” to me. Especially when I’m sure there will be many creative, and better, concepts that come out from fans in the next couple weeks.
The Rags 3rds really could have benefitted from a color shift on the pants to wear matching navy with red/white/royal striping in their iconic t stripe design.
This is probably gonna be a hottake comment but I like those jerseys! Now I don’t think they would ever work as a teams uniform but they don’t have to. It’s a league wide event. Jerseys can’t be to similar to any team jerseys, they can’t get too throwback or futuristic either. Or I guess they could but then again those „vibes“ are covered by other NHL events. So they have to find their place in there somewhere. And I actually really like the the bold colors, the (mostly) one color look, the somewhat comic-y crest design and the details on the sleeves with those stripes and stars. I also think the numbers are done in fun lettering. To me those jerseys certainly didn’t reinvent the wheel but they’re fun! (Just like that turnaround Toronto jersey with the comic-y maple leaf was fun!) My favorite is the blue one but I have to say: the yellow one is too much yellow and I think it’s sad they made one white instead of going with a fourth bold color like green or purple or something. I also have to add: I’m not a fan of the name tags. The tag itself is alright but all lowercase lettering is just weird to me.
I think you make a great point about how All-Star jerseys need to look different from what any of the teams wear. And the NHL should be allowed to have fun with this event-especially when it comes to the uniforms. 💯

The ASG unis, they’re so bad. I do not like them. I don’t mind the colours and the arms. The logo and the amount of stars in weird places and the rounded NHL logo is just bad. I just feel like the logo is immature looking. That’s just me. I don’t care what NJ wears, I just hope it replaces their current alternate uniform 😂
Your comment about the logo being “immature” might be right bang on the money. I think that was the goal. The NHL knows that All-Star appeals mostly to kids so why not make a jersey that might appeal to them as well? Last year was for the older fans-kids of the ’90s-so this year they focus on a different demographic. I like the diversity of design ideas!
The NHL all star game has been a joke for years and I haven’t watched it for as long as I can remember. These jerseys further add to the joke that is this unfortunate shinny tournament is and that no one real hockey fan cares about.
They are just plain disgusting and they look like uniforms for Burger King, in fifteen years of being involved with the NHL there has only been one year I’ve loved and that was when my Sharks hosted the event in 2019 and thecwhite version is proudly in my wardrobe!!! 🍔🍟
Haha, fair enough! The vertical striping is actually something that makes this set work, if you ask me. Breaking out of traditional norms to try new things is what the ASG should be all about.
I saw these NHL All Star Game jerseys on Instagram last night and these are the ugliest NHL All Star Game jerseys of all time thanks to Justin Bieber himself designing these ugly horrible NHL All Star Game jerseys
I get there's an appeal to ugly jerseys but there's nothing appealing whatsoever about those ASG unis, just woof. I hope the Devils go with a primarily black jersey but it's looking more and more like it'll be red.

@@icethetics Yeah I can see that being the reasoning. I guess I have last years ASG unis to look at aha
All stars jerseys are absolute trash.
Most r good but theese ones suck, last years one was amazing
AWFUL allstar uniforms
The NHL all star game has been a joke for years and I haven’t watched it for as long as I can remember. These jerseys further add to the joke that is this unfortunate shinny tournament is and that no one real hockey fan cares about.
great, it’s not meant for you. let the people who enjoy it have their fun. 👍
They are just plain disgusting and they look like uniforms for Burger King, in fifteen years of being involved with the NHL there has only been one year I’ve loved and that was when my Sharks hosted the event in 2019 and thecwhite version is proudly in my wardrobe!!! 🍔🍟
🗑🔥’s
The all star jerseys are the worst looking jerseys I've ever seen. Yes I'm incredibly beer league and international jerseys covered in ads.
These are easily the ugliest jerseys of all time. They make the islanders fisherman look like the Mona Lisa
they look like knockoff practice jerseys
always find the most insightful critiques involve a “practice jersey” comparison 😅
@@icethetics i should elaborate haha it's the total lack of horizontal striping, only having vertical. looks empty to me, nothing to break the body up
Haha, fair enough! The vertical striping is actually something that makes this set work, if you ask me. Breaking out of traditional norms to try new things is what the ASG should be all about.
Leafs need to stop using Bieber such terrible designs
Well this isn’t the Leafs, it’s the NHL... but you gotta try different avenues to grow your fanbase, right?
I saw these NHL All Star Game jerseys on Instagram last night and these are the ugliest NHL All Star Game jerseys of all time thanks to Justin Bieber himself designing these ugly horrible NHL All Star Game jerseys
These are the the fucking worst All-Star jerseys I've ever seen. I'm not kidding.
Be honest. How do you really feel about them? And don’t hold back this time. 😅
Those are the worst looking jerseys I’ve ever seen.
Those the fugliest All Stars jerseys I have ever seen.
Absolute piss jerseys 😂
I get there's an appeal to ugly jerseys but there's nothing appealing whatsoever about those ASG unis, just woof.
I hope the Devils go with a primarily black jersey but it's looking more and more like it'll be red.
Trashy designs...
gross
