You definitely picked the right tractor.....electric start, pto, dual hyd., and a 1960 year model. All the drawbar holes actually showed little wear. I've seen the holes so wallered out, they were welded up. What a shed of tractors. I could have spent hours looking them over.
Yes, we ended up paying $1000 more for this one instead of one of the other two... But now that we have this one and I've re watched this, ours is in a lot better condition that either of those other two. And they weren't really in too rough of shape.
It's funny how that happens. You look at a couple of pieces of equipment and you come home with something not on the radar. The cab does make it unique.
The coolant plug on that first one is actually a block heater which I understand are no longer available. I bought a 730 diesel electric start when I started farming in the early 90s. I went into my John Deere dealer and they had one on the shelf. That was how I got the ol girl running in cold weather.
That pump you thought was the hydraulic pump is the power steering pump. The hydraulic pump is up by the starter and has a lever to engage or disengage.
9:34 For me,these tractor models are The ones I liki The most .My jd 820 is serial 8201180 fronteira 57 that come tô Brazil 🇧🇷 .My grandfather had The R .I Stiller have The do plow With 5 disco.
8306157- Jan 11, 1960 to Richley, Montana. I really like your choice on that 830. I have my own opinions about the paint but you guys do what makes you happy! Drawbar wear is a GREAT way to judge wear. My 80 drawbar is REALLY eggshaped, and the mechanical condition to match
I really wanted my dad to just leave the paint as is. The whole tractor was about as original as they come... But that's not what he wanted. He wanted to to look new.
I guess everything is for sale, if the price is right 😅. But no, this one really isn't. My dad has said this is what he wants to pull his casket to the cemetery.
Thanks for the stroll down memory lane.
Love them old Johnny Poppers
They're the best!

Wow! You showed a sea of Green! That guy has a huge 2-cylinder collection!
He has at least one of each two cylinder tractor John Deere made from the GP up to the 830.
Wise choiceI think and a cab goes a long way. Thanks and Blessings to yall!
Thanks!
Likewise. Can't drive but one at a time.@@jonelsonster
I was lucky enough to spend some time with Tom today looking at the collection and I really enjoyed the short time I was there thanks again
Are you my Dad's neighbor?
Most interesting video. That is quite a collection that gentleman has. Can't wait to see the one your dad is restoring.
Several hundred tractors. Just parked... Patiently waiting for someone in the future to bring them back to life.
Pretty nice! Looking forward to the next installment.
👍🏻
Absolutely love restoration of 2 cyl Johnny s. Thanks for sharing with us 😂
Glad you enjoyed it

Yeah, we ended up removing the cab because it was too tall to fit in our barns and shop... But I liked it.

That's what we guessed it was. It took us a minute to figure out what was going on. But can't to the conclusion that it was a heater.

correct
I know.

@@jonelsonsteryeah we share that opinion. But you know what they say about opinions...
Very nice
👍🏻
Very nice collection, does the gentleman that owns the beautiful collection want to sell anymore tractors?
As we have him the money, he said "this is the first tractor I've ever sold"
I realized I may have mixed up which cab 830 you bought hahah
😂
I have always wanted a 830 but I'm afraid I would end up with a money pit
That is a good concern
It can always be a gamble.
Yes
👍🏻
What start is that located in
We're in Utah.
Is it for sale
