12:02 Correct, it is a Russian word. Although, generally speaking, only kids use it, it's like a "cute" word. Just like in English, that body part has many names in Russian as well.
Mad props to the translator because they had to come up with totally different wiener related jokes for the sub to make sense while the actual Japanese was going about making homonyms for “chin-chin” which wouldn’t have made sense in English
chinchin means trick, but in vulgar language it is also used to say wiener. Fujiwara talks about the tricks her dog does, but Shinomiya misunderstands her.
Chinchin doesn't mean trick itself, but there's a "trick" or pose where a dog sits with its knees bent and spread outward and it looks like a wiener that's why it's called chinchin and thus the name of the pose is chinchin. When used related to dog context, it's automatically understood that you're talking about the pose but Kaguya's mind unexpectedly went the other way.
12:17 I didn’t expect to hear that word today. I will not write it though, because have possibility to be deleted. But that word is really in Ukrainian children’s vocabulary, about Russian I don’t know.
Nah, they got it right. The line is 「ハードル高っ!!」[HURDLE taka\] "(That's) a high hurdle", or you know, if you localise it juuuust a little, "a tall order". [EDIT] That's the line in the JP manga at least. Anime line kinda sounds like 「カードル」[kaadoru] instead to me, which would be a pallet, rack or stillage instead of a hurdle. Which doesn't make a whole lot of sense ... Hrm.
@@goldingrodriguez5766 What does the dub say there? The subs are incorrect at the last part, Chika doesn't explicitly say that she wants the word to come out of his mouth, she just vaguely says it which could be misinterpreted that she wanted him to let his wiener out in the open, which is why he had that reaction. 😂
"um...do you have one?" 🤣
I mean...😂
i'd forgotten how hilarious the kaguya-sama episodes were. Really one of the funniest anime i've ever seen
Fr each ep felt so short
one of the few animes that's genuinely funny
I love the ending in the dubbed version of Kaguya.
It says "Results for today's battle, Fujiwara is the Weiner "
😂
That’s nice dub

WE NEED MORE THAN JUST 1 A WEEK
Fun fact. After the student council blows up the school they get reincarnated as the cast of Spy Family.
Ishigami is such an original character... That is why I like him so much!
Kashiwagi and her bf is one of my favourite ship in the series. They are sooo cute together💕

This anime only gets better and better
chinchin means trick, but in vulgar language it is also used to say wiener.
Fujiwara talks about the tricks her dog does, but Shinomiya misunderstands her.
in the Spanish subtitles, this is clarified in a text on the screen

this is simply the best anime ever
Hi I just want to inform y’all that there’s a 10-hr loop of 6:33 on youtube and it’s awesome 😂
4:17 Dang, I just noticed how the manga/anime club is ranked below the no-club in the "caste" pyramid 😆 The audacity! The disrespect!
1:47 I can't believe the anime's subs mistranslated "expensive" as "tall". Seems so obvious by the context.

11:55 is mandarin
This is one of the anime where I almost prefer the dub because the narrator is funnier in English 😭😭
I think the dub handled that last sequence a lot better. Shirogane's reaction just makes a lot more sense there.
