    Okay, don't miss Kennedy Space Center Visitor's Center. We have lived in Cape Canaveral for almost 50 yrs. There are so many things not to miss. Of course there are all of the Orlando tourist spots. We have been there, done that. We like the old Florida, but your kids would prefer, "kid things". Fort Wilderness at Disney is pricey, but it is beautiful. The campground in immaculate, and there is easy access to all of the Disney attractions; Boat, Bus, etc. The kids will love it. There are two pools, restaurants, dog park, playgrounds, so you really never have to leave the campground. We live on the easy coast, just east of Orlando. I am sure that you saw "a million" signs advertising our famous Ron Jons. But it is worth checking out. There is also a campground in Cape Canaveral, Jetty Park. It was closed because of Covid, but recently reopened. It is directly on the channel where the cruise ships would normally enter and exit, but of course the cruise industry have been shut down. Jetty Park is also on the ocean, with a pier and a fantastic beach. Well, there are a few suggestions. Whatever you do, make sure you can cool off. Pools, Ocean, etc. By the way, we also have a Bounder. If you need or want any other information, just let me know.....

      Thanks for the tips! We went to Kennedy a few years ago and LOVED it! We're going to try and make it to a SpaceX launch soon I hope. We've also been to the Fort and got a reservation for a couple nights there later this year as well. Jetty Park sounds really cool though - we'll have to look it up!

    Thank you Brian and Erin for this video. I see you had to move at least 2 times in one day. Then you moved again the next day. But it is all good. The parks looked really nice. You do a great job at seeing that your stuff doesn’t move around while driving or fall. Nice you hooked up with sone subscribers. That was nice. Great job of packing up and loading up and hitching the car. You have a really nice family. I’ll see you all in next video.

    My favorite thing was on spring break we rented a mustang convertible and drove it on the sand in Datona Beach right down to the waters edge and splashed the car in the surf while my friends were sitting on the back of the car with their feet on the seats! Up and down the beach it was so fun. Of course we stopped to swim too.

    • @Five2Go
      @Five2Go 4 роки тому +5

      That sounds like fun! There were a lot of cars out on the beach when we were there earlier this week but we just parked up top and walked down to the sand. We may do a day "on" the beach eventually!

    If you are thinking about Disney (not sure if that is your thing or not) it’s surprisingly not busy and they are doing a very good job of sanitization, keeping social Distancing, and making sure your face mask is on. Also, a quieter beach in that area is just north of Ormond at Flagler Beach. We stayed at Gamble Rodgers State Park and the beach there is not busy at all. I do not believe they charge to use the beach on that side of A!A either.

      We ended up just south of Flagler Beach, it was empty and gorgeous! As for Disney, we're probably going to end up going before too long. We had Annual Passes two winters ago when we were down here in our last RV and are going to get them again soon we think. We've been keeping an eye on what they've been doing and it looks like they're doing a great job.

    I was born in Florida and have lived here all of my 59 years. I am not nearly as excited as you are about florida. Haha!! Since you’re up that way, I suggest touring Cape Canaveral if they’re open. It’s amazing. Of course, Disney World! If you can swing it and if there’s room, stay at Fort Wilderness. That’s the Disney campground. There’s absolutely NOTHING like it, anywhere. It’s pricey but amazing. You can ride horses on the beach in Ft. Pierce. There’s so many things I want to suggest but I don’t know what the status is due to COVID. There’s a campground called River Ranch in central Fla. Very nice and lots to do. You can take airboat rides and see gators. Have fun.

      The "hidden drawer" in the dash? It's not the contents of the drawer that are banging around - it's the drawer itself. There's a bit of up-down wiggle in the rails and the whole drawer moves when I go over rough roads. It also doesn't stay latched and will slide open on big bumps. It takes all of 10 seconds to slide it out and it definitely doesn't make noise then 😋

There are also many birds to see. A truly amazing place. Your whole family will enjoy this. I don’t think there was an entrance fee. Just a fee for the tram. Also, if possible, get there early as parking fills up and you will have a long walk from the road.

    I live here but am over an hour away from the gulf and more than 2 hours from the Atlantic. We had not been to the Big Water in many years until we camped at St Andrews State Park last week. It's up in Panama City Beach. Had a great time! With the kids being young, you have no choice but to take in all the Theme Parks. I have no use for them at this point in life but I hope you enjoy. There is a lot of old Florida history around if you look for it. Enjoy... and maybe we'll meet up while you re here.

I never desired to do it full time especially with little kids and a dog. Hence, my question-why have you chosen this lifestyle? When will you go back to sticks and bricks? Anyway stay safe! Did you check to see if your tow vehicle has any special instructions for towing with the drive wheels spinning? Some vehicles with an automatic transmission require you to run the towed car's engine with the transmission in gear to pump the transmission fluid around the gears every few hundred miles, since neutral doesn't disconnect the transmission from the wheels.

    • @Five2Go
      @Five2Go 4 роки тому +2

      The C-Max is super easy. Run it for 5 minutes before towing and after every 500 miles. We just towed it about 2800 miles over the last month and didn't have a single issue.

    We have a class A and our frig has a lock on it to keep it from opening. Can you add a fridge lock instead of using a spring rod? Our cabinets have latches on them and never have come open on us even during hard stops and wild turns. we had to upgrade a latch on our dinette drawer to keep it closed. We've been Rving with this coach for 3 years. If your latches are not keeping your stuff in, then why not upgrade your latches? Another suggestion, have you heard of snap pads?

    Glad you are close to your final destination. I am from SC and had not heard of the RV park you stayed at. A few years back my youngest son for a BBQ sauce that is South Cackalacky sauce or something, He thought it was the coolest thing he had seen. He even had his wife, a GA girl by way of FL, LOL running around talking about South Cackalacky. I wasn't so happy to hear that term. I thought is sounded a little derogatory. Not sure exactly where that got started or why. Growing up and still even now it bothers me that people mix up NC & SC. You don't mix up GA & AL, so why NC & SC? LOL We did a lot of camping in NC when I was little. But we spent every summer at Myrtle Beach. I also have family in Charleston and thought it was a beautiful city. I haven't been in a while and would love to visit as a tourist and not just to visit family. HUGS~Donna

    Salt lamp question. I've read that turning it off and on isn't beneficial. We've had one large one "on" at our sticks & bricks for over 3 years. I don't want to lose it when we go rv'ing. Any thoughts?

    • @Five2Go
      @Five2Go 4 роки тому +1

      We just use it for the glow - we really like the color of the light. I imagine whatever benefits you get from one would work once it's back up to temperature and ours is on the whole time we're set up in a campsite. Right now that's 2-3 weeks at a time.

    • @Five2Go
      @Five2Go 4 роки тому +1

      The salt lamp is the only thing that "lives" on the counter really, and we've thought about trying that stuff. It's so top-heavy though and would do a lot of damage if it fell and rolled around so I don't know how confident we are leaving it out like that...
