A quiz about teams’ all-time penalty minute leaders would be interesting. It’s on my mind since Malkin is 1 penalty away from being the Pens all-time most penalty minutes.
I'd love to see a 'were they ever teammates quiz'. Especially with guys that had long careers and bounced around a lot. With that in mind, were Chris Pronger and Jaromir Jagr ever on the same team's active roster at the same time?
This was a good format for this particular quiz. I like that the normal format allows more people to get in. I'm still anticipating a Sam victory (just like how I'm anticipating the Wild winning the Stanley Cup).
@@pandapablodoe1711 A, the cup will probably never be allowed in Ru again. B, they're the mild for a reason. One player doesn't make a team, (Ovi, Matthews, McJesus, Bo, Zegras, )
Add a buzzer for each of them. Read the quote, then the info. They could buzz at the quote or afterwards if they believe they know the answer (game show style). They get more points if they answer early (e.g., 10 for the quote, 8 for the year, 6 for the position, etc.). Needs to be a higher reward for answering early. Also Jesse's buzzer needs to be that aweful train sound!
Should do this quiz style again but do it like the normal format. Have the guys do it separately and they get points based on how many hints it takes to get it correct. 1hint=6pts, 2hints=5pts, etc. Luca might stand a chance than!
That was great! My suggestion for rule changes would be to have people write their guess on the boards when they get to the clue they wanted, then proceed with the other clues and let others guess and reveal who it is after (though it'd likely be obvious). I think letting everyone guess on the same question would be best, however it's implemented.
I don’t know how exactly to incorporate this but I’d actually like to see a hybrid of the bardown quiz and the bardown showdown. For example, no strike system but they have to score a goalie goal to stay alive in the quiz.
An enforcers quiz! All time penalty mins, all time hits, all time goalie PIMs, all time fights, all time suspensions (longest and most suspensions), etc! Thanks for all the great content BarDown
Thanks for the search dive! Had never heard of Dave Williams or Cal Clutterbuck. It doesn't surprise me that Ron Hextall has the Goalie PIM record or that Tie Domi has the fight record, because of course it had to be them, and oh boy between Alex Perezhogin, Rafael Torres and others, there's plenty to use!
Didn’t expect a quiz this quickly after the Bardown Bardown Quiz. Keep coming at it with the content, I don’t know a thing about hockey, but i love the Bardown quizzes and videos
Really liked this format. Only change I'd suggest is award points based on the clue they get it right on rather than a flat 2 points for a correct answer. e.g. if there are a maximum of 6 clues per round, score it: 6 points if they bet on 1 clue and get it right 5 points on 2 clues 4 points on 3 clues etc. Seems fairer to reward correct answers with less information over ones with more. This could also be fun in games where someone's losing by a long way to try for a hail mary guess on clue one for a stack of points. Keep up the top content BD!
Hey guys, I really love the bardown quizzes. I think you should remake some of them. You have 5+ year old videos with great, classic topics, and at this point you should do them again. With a new twist maybe, and have some new contestants try them. For example, the jersey number countdown, the Stanley cup winning teams, players from A to Z. I would also love to see some more quizzes on all time leaders in stuff. Keep up the good work
Gotta love to see the boys in another banger a quiz suggestion: another geography quiz, but this time with a twist ! Instead of just naming geography and looking at geoguesser, you would be physically placing where the team cities are on a map. For a bunch of Canadians (and honestly as an American myself), it’s hard to remember where all those cities are. For bonus chaos, you could have a giant map and have the participants shoot a puck at where they think the city is. Not only would you need to know where the city is, but you would have to be able to shoot it accurately enough to get to that city Keep doing great work
I love this quiz format since everyone can talk to each other at the same time as I'm here for the banter and memes😂would have loved it if you guys did more recent contracts and a few more rounds as I don't know the old contracts haha and I was tryna guess too
Shoutout to Jesse. I don't typically comment on youtube videos, and have just made this account to post a comment here, but I seriously appreciate the bardown team and all of the content that they've posted, namely the quizes. I live somewhere that hockey isn't the main sport, and Is typically not as well represented in the media, and I appreciate the Bar down teams efforts to make enjoyable content. I'm trying now to learn to skate and play hockey as a Teenager now, mainly due to online inspirations such as yourselves making the sport more accessible media wise, and appealing. Lets go Islanders!!!! and have a good day to whoever is reading this. ps. Islanders > Rangers > Jets
Should do a CHL Quiz (since you’ve done an AHL quiz) 3 WHL questions (1 of the blades for Marissa) 3 OHL questions 3 QMJHL questions Bonus round - Name 5 first round draft picks from the CHL Final boss - Name all CHL teams
rule change: if Corwin “Leafs Boy” McCallum is so “god damn humble” like he says he is, he starts with negative points to give the bottom feeders a chance to win (jesse)
If I may give a couple of suggestions for quizzes. 1: Goalie that made the most Saves (or maybe the best save %?) for each team 2: Name as much Right Catching Goalies as possible 3: idk anything related to Goalies
Same general format. DZ starts with quote, waits 10 seconds, then year signed, waits 10 seconds, and so on and so forth. Once some one knows, they use their "buzzer/signaller" to take a guess, incorrect, goes down a point, correct goes up a point. kind of Jeopardy like. with a couple bid questions along the way to help tip the tables.
I think the best way to run the quiz would be to read each clue one at a time, in this case read the quote then give the year. If someone is confident, they can write down their answer but not reveal it. Then read the next clue, the next clue and so on. Once all competitors have written down their answer or all clues have been read, they reveal and the correct answer is given. Points are awarded based on when you answered, so after one clue would be 10 points, two clues would be 7, three clues would be 5 (or a similar scale). The catch would be, if you answer, it is locked in so you can't change your guess. It would allow people to catch up quickly and allow everyone to answer.
love this format, would be cool to see everyone try to guess specific player stats, like career shots, saves, etc., but if you go over you lose. like that one show with the guy in the funny glasses.
Corwin felt confident betting that much at the end because you said "close numbers" or something similar, he deduced that you were talking about him and Luca and not that the numbers were close to each other but close to the answer. My man never takes a risk since he flunked it big time with that all time goal scoring thing quiz.
I think if you guys do this style of quiz again (info being given out 1 piece at a time) instead of doing a flat 2 points for going first and getting it right and 1 point if you get it later, you should score points based on how many clues you need. Example if someone gets it on clue 1 out of 5 they get 5 points. If someone gets it wrong on wagering 2 clues but someone else gets it right on 3 clues they get 2 points. Hope that makes sense, love what you guys do.
Gotta add in some questions that are worth more points. Maybe like a "name the 5 players who ...." and each correct answer is worth 1 or 2 points. That way someone in last, coughLucacough, can catch up which makes the game more competitive.
I just think you guys can repeat some themes, I'd love to see this type of contract quiz again, there are plenty of old quizzes that I've seen in the past that I would have also enjoyed seeing as well.
Just give all the clues, and have them write their guess at which clue. Who every guesses first wins it. But it will expand the time on the quiz/give us a home a chance to play with them. Could always do this as a live, then edit it down for the video to be put out. I’d tune in once or twice a month to play along with the bd crew
Quiz where everyone gets the same questions but they each have to answer it from the perspective of the team they root for. Like all-time stat leaders such
Do a quiz where you just show them headshots of random players and they have to guess their name. It gets progressively harder: i.e. R1 McDavid, R4 Lars Eller, R7 Brett Kulak, R10 Wade Allison
A good format. A better way to score would be to invert the numbers 1-6. If you bid one and get it you get 6 points, if you bid 3 you get 3 points....this would probably keep everyone in the quiz till the last 2
Fun format. Read one clue at a time. They write their answer on the board when they think they got it. Keep going through the clues till everyone has answered. The fewer number of clues, the more points you get.
Johan Franzen being the final one was funny. I guessed it could be him before the 11 years came out and then I was sure. Being a Red Wings fan helped for sure with that one.
I really didn’t know a lot of these and guessed and did the best I’ve ever done on a quiz. Proud of myself. Somehow just knew it was Kovulchuk on q7 too lol. Great video again y’all
Instead of writing down how much information, give them buzzers. Give the first piece of information, wait 5 seconds, then the second piece of information, and so on. First to buzz in gets to answer. Keep the bonus/negative points for guessing on the first piece of information. It would reduce the stalling to guess, and make it more exciting and dynamic. If they use all 6 and still cant guess, maybe they lose an additional point or two on top of the -6 Whoever has the highest score at the end wins. Another way to impliment this is if they start with a lower point total (eg, 30) Whoever runs out of lives last wins the challenge. Anyways. I love the quizzes. I hope you all keep it up, and thanks for all the hardwork put into these videos.
So I hate to ask this question, but why do we always have to wait 2-3 months for quizzes that get 200plus views? These are some of my favorite videos for hockey. Would love to see more!
If you were to do this type of quiz again, have them do it separate with a no loss of points and have them bid that they could guess in 1 or 2 after the quote, then they get 5 points for 1 4 for 2 and so on. Allows everyone to guess and then most points at the end wins and adds suspense for the players in the quiz.
For this type of quiz in addition to the number they give you for information. They should also have a points bid number too. Bids maximum can only be half of what you have in points. But if you’re wrong it’s doubled. Min bid is 1 even if they’re in the negative.
I would like to see some quizzes that are primarily about goaltenders, like franchise wins leaders for goalies or a goalie helmet quiz. A future bonus question should also have the contestants name every single goaltender who has scored a goal in their careers.
Rule change i would say is to make the 10tj question final jeopardy or make everyone go all in the last question to create some intrigue and potentially see Corwin choke at the end if he got it wrong and even the playing field a bit for people like sam and Jesse who aren't quite in Corwin league in knowledge but can still beat him
BarDown FINALLY has its own UA-cam channel! Give us a sub 👀
A quiz about teams’ all-time penalty minute leaders would be interesting. It’s on my mind since Malkin is 1 penalty away from being the Pens all-time most penalty minutes.
Great idea!
Amazing idea
That stat is absolutely WILD
Marchand the goat at that
Some of the guys in the 80s and 90s had obscene PIMS
I think Jesse should finally do his quiz since Corwin and Luca did theirs!
D3 quiz 100%
Please, it’s been 3 years, Jesse was supposed to be the next one.
He should host a WHA quiz (it's where the Jets came from)
@@nicksojka7457 you mean the Arizona Coyotes
@@thebandit0256 The name "Winnipeg Jets" originated from the WHA
Watching these guys trying to draw NHL/CHL logos from memory would be hilarious
I'd love to see a 'were they ever teammates quiz'. Especially with guys that had long careers and bounced around a lot. With that in mind, were Chris Pronger and Jaromir Jagr ever on the same team's active roster at the same time?
Yes, from October 6, 2011 to November 19, 2011. They were team mates on the Philadelphia Flyers.
Congrats!! It came to fruition!!
I love that Jonny still always gets the infinite wins. Always warms my heart when I see it
Love how Corwin just accepts the Corwin rule that’s added mid quiz sometimes, so god damn humble!
This was a good format for this particular quiz. I like that the normal format allows more people to get in. I'm still anticipating a Sam victory (just like how I'm anticipating the Wild winning the Stanley Cup).

This, but with the “final jeopardy “ wager has to be done before the clue.
I love watching old quizzes only to see a new one has been posted

We need a quiz on hair styles. You’d blur out the face and the contestants have to guess who it is.
I just think you guys can repeat some themes, I'd love to see this type of contract quiz again, there are plenty of old quizzes that I've seen in the past that I would have also enjoyed seeing as well.
super fun video!! loved the format! that was cool :)
Loved this format def do it again boys!
We need a D3 quiz! Thanks DZ and everyone at bar down for the amazing quizzes. ❤❤❤
Z has just gotten to be ruthless with this insults and I’m on board with it

If you do the final jeopardy thing, you gotta do it actual final jeopardy style where they have to wage before hearing the clue
i like the quizzes with all of the three together on the couch
This is by far my favorite format for a quiz
that echo on the "shorter term" quote was....PERFECTION
also putting Weber in that yotes jersey!! haha so good
lol this one was a ton of fun. And either though Jesse got smoked, he still said it was a good new format..love that!
Quiz where everyone gets the same questions but they each have to answer it from the perspective of the team they root for. Like all-time stat leaders such
Never clicked faster! Anytime I see bardown boys on TSN channel I click! They need their own channel honestly
Awesome video I like when all three of them are together creates the best clips 😂
Do a quiz where you just show them headshots of random players and they have to guess their name. It gets progressively harder: i.e. R1 McDavid, R4 Lars Eller, R7 Brett Kulak, R10 Wade Allison
The Jesse quiz next cowards !
A good format. A better way to score would be to invert the numbers 1-6. If you bid one and get it you get 6 points, if you bid 3 you get 3 points....this would probably keep everyone in the quiz till the last 2

Loved the interesting format! Definitely made me think a lot
I really didn’t know a lot of these and guessed and did the best I’ve ever done on a quiz. Proud of myself. Somehow just knew it was Kovulchuk on q7 too lol. Great video again y’all
Whenever it was a goaltender my mind instantly jumped to Ilya Bryzgalov. If and when you do the sequel to this he must be included 😂
Rest in peace cap friendly 😢.
In all seriousness, congrats to the guys that designed the website
These need to drop more frequently!
You could do a raised hand instead of buzzer because, you know, budget.
I like trying these new formates vs the regular. It keeps things fresh
Another idea.
These quizzes would be the normal face to face (1 person in the room at a time)
Lets say they could win up to 7 points per round. For each piece of info given, they get 1 less point.
So if you guess after the quote, they get 7 points
If they guess after 1 hint = 6 points
2 hints = 5 points
ect
6 hints = 1 point
still wrong = 0
I assume that they would get to guess after each hint, which would also help eliminate/narrow down options, helping them get to the correct answer (This might give Sam some hope).
Amount of hints could be varied (maybe 3, or 5 total)
Hints dont always have to be the same
Example quiz: Name this player
hints could be Total career goals, total PIM, teams played on, Most goals in a single season ect, ect.
Depending on hints used, it could really highlight a player.
--------------------
We could also reverse this.
What if each player starts with a set amount of points (lets say 100 as a nice round number)
Like this quiz, you would give the original quote.
If they guess correctly after the quote, they keep all points.
For every piece of additional information they receieve, they minus a point from their point total.
So if they only need 3 pieces of info, they lose 3 points. If they use all 6 and still cant guess, maybe they lose an additional point or two on top of the -6
Whoever has the highest score at the end wins.
Another way to impliment this is if they start with a lower point total (eg, 30)
Whoever runs out of lives last wins the challenge.
Anyways.
I love the quizzes. I hope you all keep it up, and thanks for all the hardwork put into these videos.
Loved this format.
My favorite part of this video is that they have Shea Weber wearing an Arizona jersey
So I hate to ask this question, but why do we always have to wait 2-3 months for quizzes that get 200plus views?
These are some of my favorite videos for hockey. Would love to see more!
This format is a W
RIP Capfriendly
We need more quizzes I’ve watched every one over 5 time
Not Corwin spreading so far Jesse and Luca squished to the sides. 😂
Great game and seeing Jessie bitter at the end made it even better. Team Corwin always!
I love that they have Shea Weber in a Coyotes jersey lol
Loved the format!
I loved the quote part, but can you leave it on screen? I was always forgetting what it was and had to go back. Great video!!
This was such a great video idea, we need more videos like this in the future
Quiz about famous lines, like who was part of the ”punch line” answer = (LW) Toe Blake, (C) Elmer Lach, (RW) Maurice ”Rocket” Richard
Love this format.
For this type of quiz in addition to the number they give you for information. They should also have a points bid number too.
Bids maximum can only be half of what you have in points. But if you’re wrong it’s doubled.
Min bid is 1 even if they’re in the negative.
A rule change to make the quizzes more fun? I think Sam should get like a 3 point handicap if he's around when you do quizzes for points again
I would like to see some quizzes that are primarily about goaltenders, like franchise wins leaders for goalies or a goalie helmet quiz. A future bonus question should also have the contestants name every single goaltender who has scored a goal in their careers.
So, Name that Tune/Name Pat Falloon rules, but for contracts. Neat.
Edit: the Leonard Maltin game is also based on Name that Tune.
I love this format. Can we also bring back last place consequences?
Rule change i would say is to make the 10tj question final jeopardy or make everyone go all in the last question to create some intrigue and potentially see Corwin choke at the end if he got it wrong and even the playing field a bit for people like sam and Jesse who aren't quite in Corwin league in knowledge but can still beat him
Love this style of quiz
