Love your style, Ellen - in every way! Ink and wash is so much fun. I also appreciated seeing an extended view of your palette as you loaded your brush. I think I could use a tutorial on that alone! - Are there different ways of loading a brush? Is it different for different styles of brush? Would love to see some closeups of your brush after loading. Also could use some advice on maximizing palette usage and mixing colors. I think I’m spreading paints too much and end up taking up the whole space with 2 or 3 colors. 😩

I painted this on 8/21, using some 65 lb art paper in my stash. It was pink and took the bold colors, and looks good. You are so right, to get creative and explore other options.
