nice video. belly bands are mostly made for wearing with jogging pants or athletic shorts that do not have belt loops to wear a belt . the other pocket is designed to carry your wallet credit cards or money when you have shorts with no pockets.
@@Duckman75 chances are if you’re working out you don’t need to. In case you pass out or “go down” and someone needs to identify you, Boom ID slot right there.
Another question /tip. What's with the gloves? Do you where those all day everyday? I'm pretty sure if you wouldn't have been wearing them, you wouldn't have grabbed the holster like that on the draw and pulled the holster up. You would naturally have a better feel for what you should be grabbing at without the gloves.
Seems like a pretty nice holster system and you can always change that retention strap to something a little more clever maybe like a snatch and break type of system. I have an ankle holster with a velcro retention strap and all I Gotta do is grip that gun and pull and it rips right out of there but it stays in while I’m walking or running.
The extra Pocket is for a Torniquet or Israeli Bandage. They are often sold for Cell phones. When adjusting the velcro retention strap use a Credit card if not piece of cardboard not bare hands with gloves on. The Spare mag pouch needs a retention strap as well. along with the bigger pouch you didn't know what to do with.
You need a pop sickle stick/ tongue depressor to put between the Velcro layers to make adjustments easier. Bad design on the thumb break and mag/accessory pouch. And, you don't want to carry a weapon with a grip safety in a design that secures around the grip. You need one that fits around the back of the slide, not the grip. I've never had luck with any "belly band" style holster, unless it was with a micro pistol.
use a ruler or a pen or a rigid object between the hook and loop fasteners for easy removal of captured velcro.... lots of low cost holsters have captured velcro some come with an adjustment tool which is just a glorified plastic ruler made to fit in the gap of the velcro like what you struggled with hope this helps nice video I wear a comfortech belly band when I conceal that way or I have some pretty standard AIWB holsters and rigs depending on what im wearing or doing ...i think the most important part to conceal every day is options that way your able to always be comfortable and as concealed as you can be also being shaped the way you are can hurt or hinder you in any carry setup ....tiny people carrying big guns or big fluffy people trying to conceal across the waist line or in bulgey areas its all about what works for you also look at the 10x tactical belly band cause it has a cool retention method without a button or snap its just like an elastic strap that pulls over the grip.
To adjust the retention, use a ruler to slide between the strap and holster Don’t hate belly bands, I see where they can be useful, but, I don’t wear jogging pants, I do wear pajama bottoms at home So! I’ll just stick for what works for me
This "Belly band" is not one I would choose. I have seen many. I question several of the options. I have been looking at the Comfort Tech. Looks good. I only want to buy one. I have, like many people a trunk of holsters. I do not want a trunk of belly bands. These are certainly a summer carry, I am living in Minnesota. Not a winter item. Thank you for the video. Great job. God Bless.-Shawn.
Everyone always wears them IWB. Now you need to buy all larger pants. Wear it higher with the gun approx up under your arm. Way more comfortable and invisible
forget the strap altogether by using Kydex! I saw a video with one that was pistol specific and used Kydex so no need for a strap, similar to Crossbreed, but permanently attached to the belt.
SeeMs a lot of tactical guys miss the point, these are meant to be used when a belt is no available, so the pocket next to the intended holster is for a wallet or cellphone, so when you are wearing shorts, you can use it instead of the flappy -I keys or lack there of... but most people I see review these are always comparing while either full tactical or while wearing clothes not meant to use with this... a holster for every specification.
10X Tactical appears to be out of business with people complaining on their FB page that they ordered and paid for product, but never received it. Web site has been down for some time. It's a shame. I believe they had a very good product.
So bummed... Can't find this holster anywhere. Found one on Amazon, ordered, it arrived and I liked it a LOT, but I didn't realize I had ordered a left hand version. Right handed version is nowhere to be found anywhere on the net. Any other recommendations?
yet ANOTHER reason why i HATE grip safetys, yet i do love springfields though and think there most accurate which is prolly bc their the most heavy in their category .
Belly band holster LOL 😂 not a waste band holster. Try wearing it around ur belly! For the sake of the review...it seems pointless to try it only inside the waste band. Cheers Bud
UMmmm.....It's a belly band holster not a jock strap I would personally wear It a "bit higher" than you're showing. I like the way It narrows around the waist and I prefer an Individual pouch/pouches for spare mags, otherwise looks promising.
I'm 70 years old and haven't done a cartwheel or handstand in probably 60 years. I would never.. I repeat NEVER use a retention strap. Problem solved. Where are those scissors?
As always, enjoy your videos and your honesty. Search for fancypantsholsters Etsy.... She has similar belt with the thumb release is the correct position. Awesome band. Wearing it for 3 months now. Best one out there. I did the nude athletic. Running Shield and SIG 238. 5 stars from over 200 reviews. If I were to start making great videos like yours, I would start with a review of her holster.
Ok this is getting frustrating. Why are all of the PRACTICAL belly band holster that make sense, NO LONGER AVAILABLE ????? I just viewed the 10 X Tactical belly band holster (NO LONGER AVAILABLE)... Now I'm viewing this one, and it seems AWESOME because the entire belly band is actually tapered which would increase comfort and mobility (I've been wearing a velcro belly band holster and while the retention is amazingly secure, it's a wide band all the way around the waist). So now this model, which seems practical, is no longer for sale. Is this some sort of joke and the industry is just pushing off the model that "they" want? Also, I agree.......STOOOOOOP PUTTING THE EXTRA POUCH ON THE SAME SIDE AS THE PISTOL. On a gun belt our mags aren't on the same side as our firearm right???? Bigwigs who have never done Patrol in your life, please listen to those who are actually on the street and in the field and correct this issue. Geez, tactically it's a no-brainer! And please dont comment on how the pouch on the same side works. It doesnt period.
I don't get why a guy like yourself is having such a hard time trying to explain the button break of a Galco Holster. What you need to point out is that in all industries. Too many companies make stuff who are not actual enthusiasts themselves. Tell Qipi if they want to make a better product, they should start by owning a gun and maybe shooting it sometimes. This product is so obvious its by some sweat shop trying to knock off other fail belly bands because they're not sure what else to make. Is this belt meant to be worn high or low? What are those extra pockets for? How come it doesn't break according to natural purchase? The answer: Because Qipi is a buncha money mongers who don't even shoot. Design a good product like the Alien Gear Shape-shift and money will follow. This is some BS company looking to trend on amazon belly bands but have no clue how to draw a weapon. Stick to your Guns Chad, you were 100% right about the button should have been reversed. Pockets make no sense, and should have been more modular. This review should of been a thumbs down at the end because the corrections that were necessary would not change the cost of this belt. This suggest the company was just lazy and got it all backasswards. I think if you watch this video again, the conclusion of you saying they're in the right direction suggests that definitely pass on this version and wait for version 2.
Belly bands are to flimsy, they get stretched out, Velcro wears out, and to me a wast of time. You have to lift your shirt, then undo a snap then grip the pistol.
nice video. belly bands are mostly made for wearing with jogging pants or athletic shorts that do not have belt loops to wear a belt . the other pocket is designed to carry your wallet credit cards or money when you have shorts with no pockets.
how would you access your wallet/CC without flashing your gun?

Here's a tip on adjusting the strap. You can use a popsicle stick or a flat piece of plastic to move it back and forth.
Butter knife as well!
@@Fjordir1323 i was about to say butter knife too. Thats what i use

Andy P so he looks like an assassin 😉
Maybe he’s got scars/tattoos on the hands. Also: keeps evaluation items ‘untouched’.
“There should be an easier way to do this”
Try taking your gloves off
😂
Slide in a butter knife between the two velcro halves, make adjustments and remove the knife...
I am seeing the stupid trend TOO much lately. You draw all the attention to your hands, and away from the featured item.
I like your comment about flipping the strap to the inside. Less thinking and very intuitive under stress.
Hmm, one would think when doing a review one would familiarize themselves with the product.
Seperte and adjust the velcro retention strap by sliding a ruler or a butter knife under it and then remove the knife when it's adjusted.
they are called belly band holsters, not waist band.

Maybe a butter knife would help with retention adjustment. Also, reversing the snap would give a "thumb break".
Larger pocket for CCW permit, kept in separate id “wallet” to be kept with your firearm.
I think this holster is made for a Beretta .32 Tomcat, a .32 Seecamp, an NAA .380 or a Walther PPK. basically for mouse guns.
Slip a pop sicle wooden stick or a wooden Tongue depressor into that velcro it will allow you to move that strap more easy etc
Have you thought of designing a Green Light Shooting belly holster?
You need a pop sickle stick/ tongue depressor to put between the Velcro layers to make adjustments easier. Bad design on the thumb break and mag/accessory pouch.

The brand instructions I selected mentions cell phone pocket, since it has a Velcro addon mag holder.
I've seen all your belly band reviews. After all has been said and done, which single belly band holster would you personally purchase and use?
Saw a picture on amazon - that square section on the belly band seems to be for other EDC equipment like a knife, etc
Looks nice, 'cept prefer mag pouch on opposite side as a counter-weight to the gun side
New to carrying... Some belly bands don't have the snap over.. some do 🤷. My question is if you don't like the snap can you just not snap it?
The larger pocket is for a cell phone dude
Lol i said that soon as he pointed it out. Idk how he didn't know what it was for
If that is for a cell phone....wouldnt you display the gun every time you get your phone out...
This guy is a dumbass
Use a popsicle stick inserted between the Velcro on the strap and holster to adjust the tightness.
This "Belly band" is not one I would choose. I have seen many. I question several of the options. I have been looking at the Comfort Tech. Looks good. I only want to buy one. Easy way to adj velcro strap, use a table butter knife to reliece velcro.
this is no longer in stock. any updated recommendations
tongue depressor will work fine. Separate them, adjust, then slide the depressor.
That amazon link is a dud. But this is a helpful review.
forget the strap altogether by using Kydex! I saw a video with one that was pistol specific and used Kydex so no need for a strap, similar to Crossbreed, but permanently attached to the belt.
You should be able to adjust the strap so the button is on the back side for the thumb release
Glpoes off
Use a butter knife to separate the hooks and loops. In and out it works.
The lil pocket is for your concealed carry license
Justin Bellio 😂😂😂😂
Drivers license as well, some states that have a CCW mandate you have both while carrying
@@shawnjarman9860 pretty sure hese being sarcastic. No one that has common sense would keep there cc license next to gun lmao
So if you're out jogging you still have your concealed carry with you without having to carry a wallet that makes a lot of sense
Word Up Its actually for a phone and wallet so yeah idk bad design maybe

Wanted to know if you have used the 3Speed Holster and how it compares to this type of holster.
Carry permit pocket. Also slimjims.
Hey Gumpy. If you want to adjust the Velcro it might help if you don't have gloves on. I know, I know your hands sweat.
How hard would it be for them to put a trigger guard in these things, so many videos of people fixing that issue themselves after purchase.
Carry Gear makes one with the retention system you're looking for.
I also have a Springfield XD, with Grip Safety. What Belly Band Holster would you recommend?
the other pocket is for cash credit card ID and or cell phone?
Yea so it can fall out !!! Its for an extra mag or flashlight my man !!!
i use a 10x tactical belly band holster, the one piece retention strap with the pull tab is fast and easy . way better than the one in this video
10X Tactical appears to be out of business with people complaining on their FB page that they ordered and paid for product, but never received it. Web site has been down for some time. It's a shame. I believe they had a very good product.
No difference in grip safety being depressed and gun without grip safety. As long as the trigger isn't pulled on either gun it's not a problem.
Lose the gloves or do you wear them all the time?
Green Light Shooting
The side pocket is for flashlight/phone or whatever.
I cant find this holster anywhere the link doesnt work and when i try and look it up cant find it
Is that Thorn I see on the shelf??
This link does not work anymore. Is this product not available anymore?
I think it's a mag pocket for micros like the LCP. Do you have any 6 round 380 mags to see if they fit?
The extra pocket is for snacks. I carry a chocolate Milky Way bar. Fits perfectly. Just remove the wrapper first for fastest access. lutz
condoms
I have the Mod 2 & wear a lot of soccer shorts, so I was interested in one of these. How do you like it, does the gun hold with out that strap?
Love the hat!! Black rifle garb gear is awesome!! Keep up the great work! I love your videos!!
Can anything enter the trigger gard while it is strapped in? If not then the point is useless.

Inside thumb break; exactly.
How does it hold up after washing?
Why does he have gloves on

Tacticool
My bellyband Velcrostrap is starting to not grip and coming undone when I sit down?
How secure is it without using the retention strap?
The pocket is probably for a phone and the stitching is so the headphone cord can go through for music or something
I want to know about the gloves your wearing
Nitrile gloves. Mechanics wear ‘em. Black has become the popular color the last decade or so.
just bought it from amazon, when i get it ill be taking it to a taylor to switch the snap button
Did your's arrive? What are your thoughts on it, especially the retention strap. Tks.

Yes, some go up to 70. Some have extensions available. Check "sticky! Holsters" they make one that big
Yeah. I'm with everyone else in the comments. Why the gloves?
What a turist with the gloves lol. He still doesn’t get the belly band is wore around the waist. It’s not a IWB!

Buttons/snaps are bad with a bellyband. I have used them, and thrown them out.
