I'm in the middle of a horrible example of a builder taking advantage of us right now. It is an absolute nightmare and there is nothing that can be done. It is like we are being robbed in broad daylight.
I'd go with a production builder any day over a local contractor. Those are some of the real horror stories I have heard - stealing $50k deposits from people...going bankrupt....no chance of people getting their money back

Johnny my main Babcock ranch guy I've been hearing horror stories with new construction builders like Lennar.
