2024-2025 Youth of the Year Finalist Teaser - Nakyra

Introducing our first Youth of the Year finalist, Nakyra Neil! Nakyra is a senior at Appleton West High School who has been a STAR Scholar for three years. She’s a passionate, respectful person who celebrates her Black identity while also encouraging others to believe in their potential for greatness. As she’s grown, she's become committed to showing up as an inspiration and role model for other Black girls like her. She enjoys participating in track and spends time serving as a member of her school’s Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) Club. Nakyra dreams of becoming a psychologist.
