I actually had this same feeling when I saw that. He actually had far more sadness than the Mother
Mom looks "scared" not sad...and that has made me feel she was the killer from the start. He knew he had to get rid of the body because mom said if you don't, I will tell about the abuse. They need to take the death penalty off the table and offer him life in prison if he spills all the beans. I think he will say the mother killed her and I disposed of the body.
He knows he is done for, and feels sorry for himself, but, in his sick way, he may have "loved" madeline....He was with mom only because he wanted Madeline from the start.

Timeline Issue: The mother said she last saw her at 8am, and they stated she was already dead before that time.
She probably saw her.
For a mother to be jealous of her daughter who is being abused by her boyfriend instead of being absolutely enraged completely blows my mind. I don’t even have kids but I just know if I did I would be on a scorched earth rampage.
I believe the mom participated, she I think was also physically, emotionally abusive and neglectful

Okay I just finished part 1 and I'm glad you mentioned the mom being jealous of Madeline because I feel like she caught her boyfriend abusing Madeline, was jealous of her, snapped at her, and manipulated the boyfriend to take the fall because he already would have gotten in trouble for the abuse anyways.. imo
Stephan's friends are going onto UA-cam live chats saying that Jenn and Stephan were broken up for a year and a half, but Jenn let Stephan stay in one of the spare bedrooms.

I feel Madeline wanted to tell the school Nurse about the abuse, and the mother said no no no! From there it took off, with the end result, the unaliving. Possibly waiting for a full autopsy result to reveal the truth
The Mum thought she did a good - 'I'm a mushroom and know nothing' performance, but only incriminated herself.

There are many theories, but couldn't it be that they did the same thing to Madeline's mother, "SA" to Jennifer, and she allowed it to be done to her daughter too, and she was already seeing that it was getting out of control and God knows what happened in that apt. Madeline's grandmother also looks very cold, families that are already damaged and that continues in the next generations and for them that type of behavior is normal. 💔😥

Yeah! Had a guy I trusted very much but after he met my granddaughter he got too close and ignored others ,when I observed this I never allowed him back and quickly put distance permanently between us .Glad I saw this in time bc I would of hurt him bad had he touch my young granddaughter! So watch your dudes around your kids! Staying single ,no men at my house!
A person who does Spirit Box communication did a session with Madeline and one of the things she said in the session when asked about the boyfriend was that the boyfriend had an accomplice. This was said in context of asking if he had hurt her. Edited to add that Josh (Hope Paranormal) asked her why she felt like she hadn't fought back (Madeline said that earlier in the session). Answer was simply "accept." I thought that was so sad.

The mother would know if she missed a period because she would be buying the pads for her daughter ,well I did for my daughter to make sure they were in the house ready for her and to put in her school bag just in case .

The mom wanted to get rid the pregnancy fast but maddie was happy about it unwilling to compromise
So if she died due to strangulation it would make sense why her mom immediately said she felt like she could not breathe at the very start of her interview. It’s called leakage or guilty omission and would make me think her mom was part of her death or entirely responsible for it and its cover up. Also, if Maddie was pregnant it would make sense why her step dad said they just want THEIR “baby girl” home. Maybe he wasn’t talking about Maddie at that point he was referring to the unborn baby girl?! That comment struck me as odd and cringy. It’s one thing for the mom to say she is her baby it’s a whole other energy for her unofficial step dad to say this. Just weird.
I thought that was inappropriate too cos that’s NOT what a stepdad would say that’s what a biological parent would say and he’s not even married so the whole relationship thing But baby girl? It’s not like he was around when she was a baby.

Yes & when you watch the mom and stepdad's interview listen closely to mom bcse she said when she got up at 6' to send to school he wasn't in his bed or anywhere to but found but later in the interview she said that morning he was in a good mood but she supposedly hadn't seen him tht morning 🤬😡

The mother’s interview told me everything. She was a part of whatever happened to her daughter. I think something got out of hand maybe a fight. They’re both guilty. That’s my opinion.

I feel the mum confronted him and he realised he had to do something. So in the interviews she was hiding something... what madeline had told her. She is thinking madeline has run away because of what hes been doing. She was probably trying to figure out how she is going to tell the police it was because of sexual abuse. I believe now she has opened up to the police about this. Thats why she wont get charged with anything... he is a narcissist... so he probably tried to convince the mother that madeline was coming onto him

This is confirmation about the mom. Most people know her mom was involved. This was indeed a cover-up for what she did to her daughter.
This link is for Maddy's Spirit Box session. Josh was not direct with her questions, he did not ask her if he unalived her he asked did he hurt you. Which he did however he did not unalive her. Maddy was very vocal, not sure why Josh cut the session short.

The mom probably has mental illness which let me say that mental illness is not an excuse nor is there a problem with people who have a mental iillness. This is the theory I have in my mind because of the video where she the mom is comforting him and he doesn't respond to her look at the look on her face.
Such a good reading. I feel this is probably closest to what actually happened to this sweet little girl. I’m wondering if there was a pregnancy and that’s how the mom found out about the SA. I think that maybe the mom was codependent in the relationship with him, which caused her to choose to remain ‘blissfully unaware’ to the abuse simply because he stayed in the relationship with her. Madeline, being only 13, might have confessed to her mother that the boyfriend did it, hoping her mom would do the right thing… Mom confronts boyfriend and either kicks him out or he leaves. Mom is jealous and enraged/is set off, unaliving her innocent daughter. She blackmails the boyfriend into helping to cover it up so he’s not found out (so she doesn’t get the blame if it all falls apart).
That’s the ‘my opinion only, not fact’… It’s just too sad, and if any of this is in the vicinity of correct, then neither of them deserve to breathe air

I think they’re looking for more video footage maybe somebody had a house camera in the area around the church especially that could point toward the church and they could see more clearly who the person is they dropped off and they know she lied to the police because during the interview with the reporter, she said they both dropped her off and he said it to that they both dropped her off, but she recanted her story and told the police that he dropped her off. She wasn’t there. I’m wondering if the mother was the one dropped off it would collaborate with their story that he was alone, and she made it look like Maddie got out of the car By getting out of the car herself, Jennifer
