I just love your videos. You have gorgeous creations. Your instructions made me confident enough to try some of the things I had just read about. But most of all, you share the joy of creating.

Hi Tabitha! Just wanted to Thank you for you wonderful, inspiring videos!! I used you draping schedule for my memorial tea light. It was the second time I fired the kiln plus had to program the schedule! Super scary! But I'm hooked❣️

Hi, enjoyed your video, thanks for sharing. Ever mindful of the cost of firing I'm really curious to know what a vitrigraph kiln is and anything you can reveal. Thanks for the firing schedule. Mx

Tabitha you use a full sheet of paper, instead of using a coating on the SS mold?

Tell me if I'm wrong, but doesn't a kiln require a peep hole to peer through when draping so one knows when to "crack" the kiln open slightly to cool down? You can tell I've not done any draping eh?! I've only just got my first glass kiln - an Evenheat Studio Pro 17 which is fabulous to use, but no peep hole and measures 17" x 17" x 6.5" (43.18cm x 43.18cm x 16.51cm). Not certain if this is high enough for a drape mold. Can't wait until this Sydney lock down is over so I can return to glass art class & visit my glass teacher with her much larger kiln to drape in. 2 months into lock down and glass is the only thing keeping me sane!

No you can just open your kiln and have a look. You need to wear protective clothing such as gloves and UV glasses but I do it all the time. But yes you do need the depth in your kiln to deal, you need some space between the glass and the elements it they are at the top, and depending on how close the glass is to the elements you may need to keep the temperature ramp very low and slow. I hope this helps.

Another great video, Tabitha! One question - are you using thin fire fiber paper over your former for your slump or is it the 1/8" fiber? It looked a little thicker than thin fire in the video. Thanks again!

@@TabithasGlassEmporium Thanks, Tabitha. Wasn't sure if fiber paper would be too stiff to let the glass drape.
