I had a 126 as well - amazing, how roomy it is....make sure to grease the front - axle regularly, best : every week...otherwise, the steering becomes stiff and - worst case - blocks...the problem is, that the front - axle layout is more or less the same, as on the Fiat 500; with only one grease - nipple at the pivot....the grease escapes the " easy way " - and the other end would not get any fresh grease....and bolt and bushes resent that. Another problem is the vibration of the little two - cylinder....and they like to throw the bolts of the exhaust - outlet out, and destroy the threads at the same time....they can only be repaired once by using an M 10 - bolt. Very important : the " air - thermostat " to open the flap for cooling the engine ! If it does not work properly, the engine overheats. Bye - bye head - gasket. Having said that, it is still a very nice little car.
