ABSOLUTELY ASTONISHING! I remember when Sensei Aschkar from New York City had us training like this. The testing examinations were very brutal no exaggeration. If you were testing for brown and up your test was five hours long. You were going to earn that black belt for real. Oss for showing how real martial arts is to the worl.

Tang Soo Do should have remained like this instead of turning into what it is today. I've watched some of their tournaments and I think any JKA fighter from only a few years ago would smash them. I'm lucky that I come from the Chuck Norris lineage and he early on cross trained with guys like Fumio Demura, Tsutomu Oshima and Hidetake Nishiyama. Most of our training and sparring looks like what you'd see in many of the JKA training sessions you see on the Kuro Obi World channel.

Nice overloading, the one with the bungee. The ancient Greek wrestler Milon, from Krotonas, had discovered progressive overloading himself, which gave him many an Olympic wrestling medal (well, it was not a medal back then, it was an olive branch). He used to carry around a calf for weeks, and as it grew stronger, so did he. I like the wits behind such training. Makes you feel like feather afterwards, a great feeling.

Karate originated in Okinawa and remained in Okinawa for centuries. Along came the JKA and corrupted the general syllabus of karate with tournaments, contrived and unnatural techniques and general training nonsense. Then along came the west and added more nonsense plus really ignorant and adulterated techniques. The entire corrupting evolution has changed original karate into non-karate. If I pour water into a glass and then add some tomato juice, I no longer have pure water. The same applies to karate, outside changes defile it and it is no longer karate at all. This is not karate, it is just ignorantly but purposefully called karate.

If it weren't for the fact that impure karate you are talking about is used in the united states marine corp MCMAP style as well as MMA you'd be correct.

@@TheSonic1685 There is no such thing as impure karate, It is either the karate of the originator, or it is another identity emerging from corruption. The very fact that you allow corruption to equal original says you have no clue. However, one can take concepts from martial arts and put them into practice as the USMC has done. In order to practice karate you must practice the identified art produced in Okinawa, same with American baseball, same with chess, you can't corrupt them and they remain original. Also, no amount of horse shit explanation legitimizes horse shit practice and your remark is just that, horse shit. I am a US Marine, I know where the USMC efforts came from, who introduced them and how they are applied and nowhere does the Corps say it is karate even though karate concepts were employed. I don't need to be right, the truth is absolute, you just choose to ignore it, likely your own experiences are challenged by the truth. Mine were until I changed that for myself by getting away from the crap and focusing on the truth. The world has lost billions in money and untold time via the lies of the unscrupulous primarily in the west and America is permeated with it.
