"Melbourne is one of the cheapest places in Australia" LOL. This video should be taken down for misinformation. The only ones I would put on a cheap list is Geelong. I did my PhD at Wollongong University and it's a nice place, though not that cheap. Hobart is really nice but again not that cheap. Adelaide the same; pretty but not that cheap. The cheapest places in Australia are in the regions, away from the capitals. Examples would be Ballarat, Bendigo, Rockhampton and Townsville.
i think you need to update and recheck this, definately some of it comes across as misinformation. gold coast is very very expensive, please update this
Wollongong is smaller, cheaper, and closer to Sydney. Newcastle is bigger, way more expensive, and is a city in its own right but being a bit further from Sydney it’s an uncomfortable commute if you get a job there. I prefer Newcastle because the price is way cheaper, the cost of living is about the same and it’s a similar lifestyle with the option of working in Sydney.
The reported 'national' rent availability is at 1.02% at nearing the end of 2023 so landlords are raising rents to cover continuing interest rises. Why live in any loud densely populated city with so many regional towns to chose from?
Hobart should not be on list. Rent, food and lack of timber and labour availability got mortgage very high as well. And needless to say Melb or Geelong was ever cheap
You need a lot of money anywhere ya move to in the world if you want to live a modern life. The only way to escape it is to live off grid in a tent or van!
this is so incorrect if you want to make a video of cheap places in Australia maybe get an Australian voice for one and probably have permanent residency here before posting crap like this I'm not mad just very frustrated at how he listed so many places that are actually very expensive your technically scamming people
Adelaide is not considered the cheapest city by a long shot, it has the most expensive electricity in the WORLD. Housing prices have gone through the roof and the video needs some updated shots of the skyline, this looks like it’s from the sixties.
Having lived in Adelaide all of my life, I believe that Adelaide is no longer a cheaper city. The recent price rises have been astronomical. Especially housing buying or renting. It is also the most boring city in Australia with ANY progress or development being knocked on the head by the large "whingeing" class.
I'd love to live in Brisbane goldcoast area..where I can go to the the farmers market and buy boxes of fresh produce for $5. Because it's tropical you get varities of food. Lovely beaches in Goldcoast..30 to 45 min from the CBD. The people are very friendly too. I miss that place..l now live in rural nsw and it's just horrible here.. I DONT know my neboughs..lol.
Australia is not a cheap place to live in any town or city, especially housing and energy despite having oodles of land and massive energy supplies. This generally due to lower quality political class who cannot think beyond the next election. However quality of life is the best in the world with excellent medical and educational services.
Yeah even if they are, The reason for that being is Australians are Better than most places and definetly better than America and they get high pays so Basically its a compliment
The list this video states as being cheap - Melbourne, Hobart, Adelaide, GC - none of these cities are cheap. Where is their source of facts? Melbourne is the most liveable city and so is cheap! Err no. Truly regional cities like others pointed out that would be considered affordable or cheaper are not on this list. Even Geelong is now out of reach to most people.
This UA-cam has information from the seventies when eighty dollars a week were earned and a family lived on thirty dollars a week, a mortgage was paid with a single salary and the maximum time to pay for a good house was about fourteen years, this video no sense of truth, i traveled all over australia several times?

Hobart is not that cheap, but why?I originally thought that it was due to the concentration of population, but no?
Me living in Melbourne: I fact check that true! XD

What do you mean Melbourne is cheap. A house is like 1 million dollars
Cheaper than in Sydney!
Lovely video
The only places cheap to live in Australia is NOT a major city OR any city over 15,000 people.
Just go bush and it's cheap
wow
yay #Adelaide
I am moving to Regional NSW.. Which one can you suggest? Newcastle or Wollongong?
Wollongong is smaller, cheaper, and closer to Sydney. @@TravelPlannerr 3 hours to Sydney on a train and 3 hours back. Don't go there if you're planning to work in Sydney

Perth is the cheapest and best. Geelong is mispronounced. Hard to watch. Definitely one of the worst videos on Australia.

True
Melbourne isn't cheap but the quality of video shot in this vlog surely is. Epileptic on Meth.
This might have been correct two years ago😅😂🤣😂 no longer cheap in Australia 😢
Temps are wrong in Canberra ... they are -5 to 40, Hobart is 0 to 35
I'd love to live in Brisbane

Do these synthetic scripts ever get edited and 'tweeked' (by a human) before posting to fix pronunciation and jumbled grammar ?
