Preservation Hall is a magical musical treasure and is hosting some of the greatest collaborations of musicians. And every time you see a video from one of these sessions you can tell that the Musicians are having the time of there life. Beautiful!
I remember the 1st time I heard of Erykah Badu, I seriously said "Erica who?" I usually never go for Jazz, but this is seriously mesmorising, keep up the good stuff, all of you :)
It was awesome to see them work together and produce this song. Erykah just sat there and came up with the words after Trombon Shorty said he was going to go get some gumbo. Awesome! LOVE IT!
I love this song and am still looking for it in Spotify in 2024... Wasn't Skrillex's song on the same album? I found his song... Why isn't this one available 😢😢😢 It's such a good song, I want to listen to it on repeat always😢
I love this song but I don't understand how it's any different from another jazz track. I thought the whole Re:Generation film was about fusing genres but this just seems to be jazz without any other elements
Don't know how on itunes but you can download the whole Re:Genration album including this song and its remix for free on regenerationmusicproject(dot)com, section music.
If it's not music, I really wonder what the hell makes all those on his concerts move. Music has developed, such as everything, and the fact that he's using computer instead of instruments doesn't mean he's not an artist, get over it... You should be glad that thanks to Skrill's presence in Re:Generation project people discover some other genres of music than electronic. "Normal" music as you would probably said...
Mark Ronson, Erykah, and Mos Def - Genius!
Love this joint right here. . . Super Dope, peep Mos in the back as the hype man. Peace Light and Love super heroes
Classic Ronson - perfection.

mark ronson is such a spare part
lol, Mark's hair. Am I the only one who noticed how bouncy it is..? xD
what this song needs is Harry Connick bringing real creole jazz

13 peoples "Mama don't wear no drawz" :D
@skarsteen thought so haha :') thanks
I love this song but I don't understand how it's any different from another jazz track. I thought the whole Re:Generation film was about fusing genres but this just seems to be jazz without any other elements
Lucas Dickson it's supposed to be jazz+funk but they only let zigaboo do some funk drumming for a few seconds at 1:23
This is Second Line drumming combined with Funky bass, and R&B singing.
It was about fusing the given genre with the artists own style and that was that what mark has done, a jazz track with his own style in it
this doesn't seem as big a reimagining as some of the other ones. it's more like mark ronson just made a fucking amazing jazz-inspired song!!
jam on brought me here
DO CARALHO!!! AMOOOOOO!!!
4:20 !
