For the first time, the Breeders’ Cup came to Chicago and picturesque Arlington Park. After a week of cold, wind, and rain in Chicago, Arlington Park welcomed 50-degree weather with a cloudy sky and a light breeze for its first Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championships. A sold-out crowd of 46,118 came out to see racing's single most important day.
