  • This is a Kerala style recipe, a seafood specialty dish in Kerala. Clam Roast or Kakka Irachi Ularthiyathu is a specialty dish of Kerala wherein small-sized clams are roasted with aromatic spices and coconut bits. Best to be served with piping hot rice.
    Clams / Kakka - 500 Gms
    Turmeric Powder - 1/4 Tsp
    Salt - 1/2 Tsp
    Coconut oil - 4 Tbsp
    Coconut Shards - 1/4 Cup
    Garlic Chopped- 8-10 Pods
    Ginger Chopped - 1/2 inch long
    Green Chili Chopped - 2 Nos.
    Curry Leaves - 2 Sprigs
    Shallots - 200 Gms
    Onions - 2 Small
    Salt to taste
    Spice powders :
    Kashmiri Chili Powder - 1Tsp
    Turmeric Powder - 1/4 Tsp
    Coriander Powder - 1/2 Tsp
    Black Pepper Powder - 1 Tsp
    Meat Masala Powder - 1 Tsp
    Garam Masala Powder - 1/2 Tsp
    Curry Leaves For Garnish
