There's a lot of moving parts, and new features and systems that dont exist in the normal game like spell gems and abilities, gear sockets, and the bronze currency. You always leave me with questions.. that never get answered. First, when you speak of alts, you're talking newly created alts for this event (not leveling up existing alts.) Also, after the event is over. You say that the characters will transfer back to your retail game - but in what condition gear wise (and all their lovely buffs)? Cloak, threads, gems, etc. And what of the currency - Do you think their "Bronze" will replace Gold in retail when the event is over? I ask that since there is a lot of gold stashed away and I could see that happening with a greedy company. Plus, they're giving away for peanuts a mount I busted my time sink experience getting which places the mount into the realm of irrelevant. So, what do you think Kel?

You pronounce everything like a northerner, from the way you say geeyah instead of gear to the way you pronounce the U in update I can tell you're a northerner, in fact the way you pronounced update I reckon you're from somewhere near Birmingham.

I'm leveling three characters. If you already own a flying mount, get at least 70 bronze, fly to the capitol city for your faction in Vale Of Eternal Blossoms, and at the bank there is a bag vendor selling 'Timerunner's Satchels' for 10 bronze each. They are BoP. I bought 7 of these 36 slot bags for my bank slots within 5 minutes of starting my characters. These are the same as the four bags you start with in your personal inventory.
This actually seems like a much more enjoyable way to level from scratch. It'd be nice if they did similar events for other expansions.
I’m sure they will, this changes the game and allows other players to get those fancy mounts and gear for transmog that before would take longgg to obtain
I would love to see this for Cataclysm or Wrath. A lot of missed Transmog I wouldn't mind retroactively unlocking for Retail.
@KidoRampage they aren't doing this for cata, no way. Cata isn't well received. It might come back for war within season 4, probably would be legion if anything.

I think this is awesome, repurposing old content to be a new and exciting way to revisit what was so amazing back when it was first introduced.
I want this kind of event once a year to be honest. It’s great and refreshing break from retail grind.
I never got to play wow as a kid in school. So I’m pretty excited to experience this expansion for the first time!

This is not the way to experience MoP. If you want to do that then play a private server, or wait until they inevitably fuck up MoP classic.
@@Jorvalt It's really not that big of a deal man. He's gonna get all the major story beats and theming he is looking for on top of actual permanent rewards rather than a PS that shuts down after a few months.
@reypalpatine916 from what it's looking like, you're going to be missing most of the story beats in favor of fast paced LFR/LFG content to level you through everything, ignoring most of the quest content.
@@Jorvalt That's totally up to the individual though. Like yeah IM gonna dust everything via lfr and dungeons, but they may want a slower pace to experience everything, nothing wrong with that either.
I'm beyond excited for this. Even though I kept my sub going, I took a bit of a break from the game during MoP and WoD so I never got to do any of the raids when they were current. As someone who raids every single week in retail, that's what I'm most excited for.

As somebody who also raids every week in retail, and only started in MoP I’m also very excited as I was pretty young and didn’t care for much except for exploration and questing back then. I can’t wait to experience these and other raids with a full group and mechanics 😊
You do realize these MoP raids will play NOTHING like they did when they were current... it's not 2012 again, it's not even MoP Classic... you'll be running these raids with 2024 Retail talent trees starting at lvl 25 with OP Gear with massive bonuses so powerful most people will be ignoring every raid mechanic.
It'll feel as much like the original 2012 experience as if you took a 2024 Retail character in mythic gear to solo the raid today.
It's the same raid, and that's about where the similarities will end.
You won't be reliving what you missed, it'll be a ROFLSTOMP LFR experience.

There is a map that you can get from the heirloom vendor to discover the pandaria zones and give you a lot of bronze

Ty for the heads up. LF all the goodies, I was on time off WoW during Pandaria so lvl it solo while others were in dreanor: no instance, no raids, no end game but all the rep. So looking forward to the vendors, heritage armor, then a couple of new alts. Hope to see other expansions added in future season 4: better way to lvl up as a group, having fun, farming collectibles.

Just for anyone not yet aware: the cloak is no longer account wide.
The achievement bonus is what your alts share and that is a max of 100% xp bonus and some flat stats (150 stamina and 100 main stat) at rank 12 for collecting 4200 threads.
Not 100% of what your main cloak has. Just 100% bonus xp.
And thats a fix cap. Anything else your char has do do individually. If you want to have 300% on all your alts to level (aka what they advertised), well you gotta push them all through raids from 100-300 yourself. individually.

@@apunishedmannamed2473 Yes, and a massive one. People in my guild were so angry that half of them already left the event and some of them actually quit the game. I love how blizzard has an incredible idea and then they shit on it.

I can't fucking wait. I've been looking for a good and enjoyable way to get back into WoW. Even better, this way I can level some Alliance allied race characters while keeping my main character in normal retail.

I'm never one to miss the chance to be cynical about WoW. But this event looks cool as hell and I'm weirdly interested to try it.
I quit for like 10 years. This event single handedly brought my love for the game back.

oh men im totally loving the new pandaria remix event i feel OP directly out of the gate im now a hour in orso but it feel so cool and get a lot stuff right away gems, bronze, stats to your cloak, etc, etc and flying directly im going to enjoy this so so much like you would not believe and a super bonus for me i started my world of warcraft life in WOD and never really experienced pandaria from the beginning yeah im reall exited!!!🤩 🤩 😊 😊 😍 😍 🥰 🥰

This actually seems cool i just started playing wow again and my account was hacked sadly so all charters had the basic armour on but all itema in bank and bags gone happend three years ago even with the added security abd me letting wow know i was hacked then apparently nothing happened so i am starting on a new realm from scratch so this is very nice.

Not reading through 381 comments to see if already stated but some bronze "spheres" are not in the air, they are underwater - there were around a dozen close together in central south Dread Wastes - the Briny Murk - south west of Soggy Gamble. Slower than flying but not terrible with an underwater mount but no one seems to collect them so always there.
As for approach I have made an alt of every class as either opposite to normal faction and/or heritage race - play to 20 (and just flying around gets discovery XP and collecting Treasures - Kilani's rested state advice really helps with that - monks daily even more so*) - then Landfall campaign (for Class armour ensemble and saving 4k bronze) - then again level via questing and exploring for treasures and whilst doing so "collect" the various Lorewalker Cho points of interest and mass turn in the mailed quests at 35 - lots of XP and Exalted with Lorewalkers - then when 50 do Island of Thunder for the class weapons and save a further 3k bronze.
With 13 chars/classes that saved 52k on armour and 39k on weapons and have 13 chars at 70 - that is two ultra rare mounts and 14k bronze in change (and 13 lvl 70s is another 520k bronze anyway).
As for toys - park alts in the non-remix Pandaria and farm every 30 minutes or so - I was missing about 10 and have them all bar Ik-Iks beach ball now (Timeless Isle aside) - thus saving another 40k or so bronze - the drop rate must have gone up because they are dropping alot now.
Look, I'm 50, have a full time profession, a very wow-tolerant partner of 26 years, an 8 year old (who steals my chars so she can have all these bl00dy alts), a Warhammer/AoS/HH plastic addiction, actually exercise etc. so I don't have time to waste (although I have always managed on 4 or so hours of sleep - see exercise) and I am managing fine in game but most importantly having so much actual bl00dy fun (the point of games and entertainment) - quite literally on my Mag'har orc warrior - BLOOD AND THUNDER!
Just play smart and consistently but hamster-wheel speed grinds are unlikely to be fun, and if too good to be true are going to get addressed, like gulp frogs. So on my "main" I just played through the zones in sequence (still doing so) and ended up with all the gems, and all prismatics at Legendary, all gear 346 and going rare all the time, but I am not wasting bronze improving gear until they take a zero off and apply auto-account wide to all your 70s - currently that is (as we say in the UK) utter b0ll0cks.
Oh, and for the daily scenario quest - at Halfhill just feed some folk some noodles as solo but counts and easy mode and fast.
Right, I could have levelled a character to 20 in the time it took to write all that, so that is it for this year and I'll comment on another video sometime next year - but thanks @Kelani as some interesting tips in there.
*and if "forced" to watched Kung-fu Panda 4, and then 1, 2, 3, and 4 (again) make a Pandaren Monk and combine with Inner Peace and just Death Touch a Master every day (it keeps the acupuncturist away) - I "had" to make a female vulperan one though because...just watch 4 and you'll see why my daugher was insistent...
Edit: So did this, swapped to my alt on Ik-Ik and now I have a ball, I may want to re-word that as someone else apparently only had one...now for those flame dagger things.
Edit 2: And also, right at the end of remix, I'll salvage all the gear for some last minute Bronze boosts to buy some last minute odds and sods, and then depending on when remix chars are available for War Within (as in prior in pre-patch and can do event or after it launches) I'll either get geared using Dreamsurge stuff to do pre-event or if post start equip with all that first wave of profession crafted gear from either my alts or a crafted market saturated AH for next to nothing.

Raids are daily lockout which is awesome, and they scale all the way down to 1 person I believe, same with the rest of the group content.

Normal leveling is as relaxing as this will be so you don't really have a valid point.

actually, the way it currently works on live is that if you put a new gem into a socket that already has a gem it just pops the old Gem out and put it in your inventory

I hope they do this for every expansion. Basically the new chromie. You choose an expansion and just go nuts. Experience the expansion at a faster pace. Get all the transmog and what not. Then get to the new expansion. Gimme a legion version 😍

Realistically how much time would it take to grind up the almost 38k for those various special mounts? Is that the kind of kf thing that'll take weeks of raid lockouts or is 38k not actually that much?
The endgame raid lockouts are daily during Remix. Bronze should be plentiful.
It's definitely awesome, I just wish I could get every single mount offered, but I doubt anyone would be able to make that much bronze in 3 months time.
Do battlegrounds work at all in Remix? and if they do, Remix honor gear? I assume probbaly no PVP stuff hooked up. Or if PVP BG give Bronze, that'd be neat!
I just tried to get into wow and thought this was a good possibility to start with. But this stuff is just all over the place and way 2 complicated to enjoy. Even that I needed to watch a video about what the point of this event even ist :D
Have they mentioned anything about what happens to the gear we get during this event because I can assume that we won’t keep the cloak or at least it won’t stay the same when it goes to retail for obvious reasons however if the gear that we get we get to keep on our character I would like to make a Druid with ridiculous amounts of speed gear clearinglegacy
So once you get your first character in and you start getting that cloak more power, does that increases the speed at which you level or does it just increases overall character power? Also, as you level the cloak on the first character does the cloak on the rest of your characters that you start later continue to level? Or from the point you create the other characters are they on their own getting their cloaks power up?
Considering the wording of the creation of the new character as "timerunning" maybe we can get another of this events before War Within drops with another expansion?
Can you level existing alts this way or does it have to be a new toon? I have an alt army and some of them go way back, don't really want to lose the achievements and such.

Wait, if I'm understanding correctly, do LFR raids not have loot lockout either? That seems like it's going to be an insane way to get tons of gear, and depending on the exchange rate a ton of bronze too
Hello. Great video as always. I have got a question. Can a player unlock all type of gear transmog on 1 character? for example if i play as paladin will i be able to collect cloth, leather and mail transmogs also?
Yes, one toon can unlock any armor or weapons for your alts... it's like buying from the trading post.

Is this event a mega server with everyone? or is it a server by server thing? Like I normally play on a dead RP server, am I going to be playing on a dead MoP timewalking server as well?
If you just want to min-max your leveling speed for alts - this event won't even come close to what you can achieve with regular Chromie Time leveling. With heirlooms (for the DPS, not the set bonuses), the right questing route, XP buffs, TBC dungeon quests, and WoD bonus objectives, you can level a character 1-70 in less than 10 hours /played.
This event is about doing something fresh and interesting. Do it to have fun, and enjoy your time rather than bullrushing through it.
My big question has got to be: what happens when you hit mad level? Do you get thrown into retail? Do you opt out of Time Running? What will your gear be like in retail when you are done with Time Running?

Does the cloak work cross faction? Say I level a Horde and then want to try an Alliance, do you start from scratch?

Question. Should I name my character that I want it to be named after it's done? Or do you rename it when you place it in real servers? Thinking if i should keep a reserved name while leveling or just name it the name I want and noone can take it?

do we have any information about the duration of the event? im going on vacation shortly after the event starts and i would hate to miss out on it. i guess falling behind doesn't matter much with these buffs, but if i get back from vacation and dont have enough time to complete what i want, i would be kinda sad
It's likely going to be available until the War Within. For the past few expansions Blizzard has been giving us a leveling buff so that we can make new alts before and new expansion, This appears to take the place of that buff so it seems to make sense it would last as long.
Is cloak progress account wide? Like if a level seceral characters on server an and then want to level characters on server b, do I have to start progression over? I assume no because they are tied to achievements, but just wanna make sure.

I wish that socket system was in the main game!!! I wanted to find a PvP spell sword for my mage but all there is is a dagger, for example, with the wrong stats for my spec. I wish I could forge it for what I need.
I doubt it but will we be able to solo the mop raids? Just curious but be fun to do siege to do it with more people again
Probably a fully geared Blood DK or Vengeance DH... I doubt a mage could, but who knows?
@@wolfshanze5980 A priest was able to solo most of a raid by using the frog exploit that was quickly patched
A handful of people became gods & now most groups only invite people who did the frog exploit, kinda a huge L on blizzards end
What are the lockouts like? It seems like we’ll get through everything really quick, so running raids multiple times a week would be a ton of fun. If we’re locked to one run a week that would kind of ruin the fast pacing of this event
