There's a correction in your analysis: the Bengaluru Yeshwantpur express engine had already crossed the section before the derailed coaches from the Coromandel Express hit it. Thus only the last two-three coaches of the Yeshwantpur express were hit by the derailed coaches of the previous train and they only got derailed whereas the rest of the train including the engine were not derailed, unlike what you've mentioned in your video. This fact is corroborated by what a TTE onboard the Yeshwantpur express has said that he heard a loud noise coming from the rear of the train and then when he looked outside from the door, he saw the coaches behind him getting derailed. He was in the third last coach of the train which was AC and behind him were only two general bogey coaches that had got hit by the still hurtling derailed coaches of the Coromandel express train. The TTE survived the accident because the coach that he was in didn't get hit or derailed by the other coaches. RIP the souls of the deceased.
That's a pity. I have traveled in both these trains numerous times during my student days. They are very popular express trains and can't imagine the plight of those affected, moreover the general coaches are jam packed with people, especially migrating labour force especially those from North who go to Bengaluru, Chennai in south for work.
Thank you sir for explaining the whole stuff in 9 minutes without any kind of politicisation or misguidance. Lots of people on UA-cam for the sake of Views are making videos like:- 1) I'm from Balasore and 1000+ died. Govt hiding death 2) Adding Dhoni old clips and saying Dhoni will donate all his IPL money. And so on...... The actual death number might be nearby 320 while officially it's 275. But the claim that 1000+ died is a lie. Actually those who rescued people immediately after the accident are non medical people. Many victims are lying unconscious due to the shock from the accident and the locals counted them as dead people and kept them in the make shift morgue (Bhanaga High School) But one man from Kolkata found his son unconscious and alive in the same morgue. Later medical team came and found many people were actually alive. So the claim that 1000+ died is false.
1500 have died...we are from odisha...we know it.......the govt number is never depicts the real value.....500 bodies were found in the first 3 hrs only. There were people who were rescued alive but there was internal injuries and they died soon after. All the dead bodies are kept at different locations from Balasore to Cuttack....those who are going to see the bodies have already clarified that the dead bodies will be more than 1000......stop siding with the govt.....the govt should be questioned so that these things don't happen to our near and dear ones tomorrow.
There were total 1257 password that day in Coromandal. So it's impossible that 1000+ died because nearly 1160 people who were injured have been discharged from SCB Cuttack. Today Mamata Banerjee has visited them in Cuttack Odisha. However now the DRM is saying there is a possibility of sabotage. Someone in cabin room changed the interlocking towards loop line just before Coromandal was about to pass. Only proper investigation can find the culprit.
The yashwantpur was already passing by before the impact of Coramandel with the goodstrain occurred. The last three compartments of yashwantpur were hit by the derailed coaches of Coramandel. Yashwantpur did not have a head on collision with Coramandel's derailed coaches
This makes it even suspicious of a human interference. 😢 Hey Krishna!! This is so bad! Awful! I hope CBI does a proper investigation and finds out the reason.
Without going into politics I would like to say I have never seen a union minister continuosly working on ground zero..helping rescue team, sitting with laborers, overseeing everything to restore the situation. Amazed by the simplicity and dedication of Ashwini vaishnaw. I think before being a politician or IAS, he is an engineer at heart!. A true engineer cannot rest until a problem is resolved✌️🙂 I hope he works towards ensuring more budget for track safety and maintainenece moving forward, filling the urgently needed vacancies in railways. Right now speed is not as important as life safety. India can afford a fewer high speed vande bharat trains but we cannot afford to have such level of accidents out of technical faults in future! The coromandel express and howrah-yashwantpur carries thousands of students, young skilled workers/ laborers from Bihar, bengal, odisha to big cities like Chennai and Bengaluru. Many IIT kharagpur students travel by Coromandal to Odisha and Andhra, especially on weekends. Unfortunately we might have lost them! Praying for the departed souls ❤
True. I just replied same above to a guys comment. As a student from Andhra I traveled to Chennai and Bengaluru numerous times on these trains, and lot of labor force travel especially in general bogies
Thank you sir 🌼Your way of making us understand is speechless ...By watching your video i think railway is the most safest mode of transportation ...May God bless the the souls who lost their life in this accident... 😇
Sir small correction only last three bogies of the train from Yesvantpur were involved not the engine both engines of the train crossed each other before collision of coramandal exp
One correction in your animation: At around 5:27, you mentioned that Bengaluru-Howrah express was hit at the front/engine end. However, it seems that train had almost crossed the Coromandel express except the last 2-3 compartments and and those 2-3 compartments (boggies) were hit by de-railed Coromandel express boggies.
There is a mistake regarding the involvement of the 3rd train i.e. Yesvantpur - Hwh Superfast. It had almost passed the Coromondel when the incident happened. Only the last 2 compartments were hit by the derailed coaches of Coromondel. The Engine of Yesvantpur - Hwh didn't collide with the coaches of Coromondel. Had that happened, the accident would have been massive and the derailed coaches of coromondel would have been found 100s of meters away and the casualties would have been much higher.
Few corrections: 1) In this case the interlocking system is electronic/computerised (Not Manual / lever based) 2) Yesvantpur engine already passed before the accident, only last 2/3 coaches of it were affected.
to our Odia brothers and sisters, we can't thank you enough. you showed an exemplary standard of humanity. it is not easy for normal folks to see blood and torn/amputated limbs/heads but they saved so many lives.
It were the rear bogeys(last two general compartments ) not the Engine of Yashwantpur Express that collided with the derailed Coromandel exp - by railway board
It is reported that Yeshwantpur expressed proceed on its journey some time after the collision after detaching the damaged bogies, which means that it was not a head on collision.. One doubt remains though. What was the time gap before the Yeshwantpur express reached the spot? Some eyewitnesses say there was a gap of eight minutes. If so, wasn't it possible to alert the locopilot before the second collision?
@@josephjames859both trains were passing at same time, just as coromandel express derailed, the coaches hit the last 2-3 coaches of the passing Duronto, it's confirmed by board
Hi, Many sources says that West Bengal bound train was already crossed the incident except the last 2-3 coaches. It is not an engine or the first portion of train.
5:0 Short correction.. The train was moving towards Balasore, but it got hitted at the back..Meaning it almost bypass the train oppositely.. 2 Coaches in the back were damaged, but after removing these coaches, the train moved ahead with it's passengers.. They also reached Howrah on the same day..

Yeah, i'm confused too, he said engine was hit but some other videos said that Yashvantpur-howrah train was already moving from there and only last 3 coaches were hit and derailed
Thank you 🙏🏽 for a clear and objective description of the the events. In an automated signaling system, the light could not have been green of the point interlocking is set to divert to loop line. Solenoid failure at the interlock point should have set of an alarm and switched signal to red. Simultaneous failure of all these mechanisms is a very, very low probability. The CBI will get to the truth. Insider sabotage appears highest likelihood, since the act would’ve required intimate understanding of the technology AND access to the equipment. This analysis is consistent with the information that the Assisstant Station Master is reportedly absconding since the incident. If true, he’s probably in Thailand via Myanmar now. Extraction by sea would’ve been executed in the first few hours after the event.
God. If that's true..an intentional sabotage... 💯 % inhumane. What devil must have got into the person who dared to do such a heinous act. Families lost..fathers and sons lost..ahh ! No justice can ever set things right for the bereaved families and in generations to come. May justice and peace prevail. May God give them strength. Om Shanti ! 🙏
Sir there could be another angle to it as well. These signals, points are maintained by signal staff of railways. I being from signal staff of railway dept know this fact that there are some employees who try to correct any failure of point or during maintenance work they bypass the original wiring (temporarily) so that they can rectify the failure quickly. After rectification they place the original wiring back. Almost all the time the staffs do it as there's utmost pressure from the higher authorities to rectify the failure as soon as possible else strict actions are taken against them. In such pressure scenario there could be a situation when the staff would've had somehow rectified the failure(only partially) and maybe had forgotten to reconnect everything again because of which eventually this tragic incident happened. So maybe there's not any intentional wrongdoing here but maybe accidentally he messed the wiring up(remember they are signal staff so they know how the wiring works and what needs to be done to bypass something while also not showing any failure on the master panel). So even though that staff is at fault the higher authority in railways who constantly pressurize and mentally imbalances the working staff is also there to be blamed. The actual work is done by the field staff not the higher officers. Hence their mental wellbeing has to be given importance to instead they are burdened and threatened with more torture which really disturbs their mindset.
@@diptanudas2987 This could easily happen too, however this usually leaves a lot of evidence behind CBI should easily confirm this. Also there is the fact that other trains passed with no problem before that day. If a repair happened it should have been logged and should have been right before the incident. If there is no logging of repairs to the rails, then it is the higher officers fault in healthy regulation. If the person involved made the mistakes, then did not log it in, another mistake, it is highly unlikely that his mistakes are not uncovered soon by the CBI. Thus it leaves us with sabotage as the most likely situation.
Update : Station Master is not in Thailand or Myanmar he is in India itself. Also he has been identified as BB Mohanty instead of someone called Sharif as earlier stated. There is no person of the name of Sharif working for Orrisa Railways or Bahanaga Bazar Station.
Almost all the other youtubers, media is solely focusing on politics asking railway minister to resign etc this video is the best one I could find on the internet 👏
@@devendrakishore2694 both trains are running simultaneously, When accident occurred for coromandel almost entire Yeshwanthpur expressed crossed except last 3 bogies, which got affected bcs of some bogies from coromandel is dashed with dos 3 bogies
Sir, the Engine of the Yeshwantpur Howrah Express didn't collide with the derailed coaches of the Coromandel Express. Rather the Yeshwantpur Howrah Express had almost already passed the accident location, it was just the last few coaches of that train which got hit by the derailing coaches of the Coromandel Express. Both the trains were given green signals on their respective lines (Main lines), they were about to cross Bahanagar Bazar Station at almost the same time. Infact the Yeshwantpur Howrah Express had almost crossed the station and the Coromandel Express was just entering the Station premises.
Before rail ministers had to resign if such incident happen on humanitarian ground however these days main stream media promotes the other way around. Jai shree ram
The coaches of the Coromondol Express crashed with with the last few coaches of the Howrah Express. Howrah Express just passed and a few seconds that it could have already passed the station but some of thr last few coaches were hit by the coaches of the Coromondol Express. Howrah express did not have a head-on collision
Very nice analysis... You missed one simple logic.. Did Yashwanthpur - Howrah Engine hit, derailed Coromandel express bogies? If so I couldn't see it's engine in any of videos and pictures of accident spot. Many in all forms of media missed this. Almost 50 % of Yeshwantpur - Howrah train passed the accident point by the time Coromandel hit the parked Iron ore train in up loop track.
Deatiled and technical explanation in time efficient way. Never ask to subscribe or like. This man is doing its wonderful work since 2016. Hats- off to you Amit
you always provide most factual content and I really appreciate you for that.. But the thing you mentioned in the video was factually incorrect.. Only last two boogie of the 2nd train was affected.. Which means these trains were crossing simultaneously.. when the 1st train collided with the goods train, few buggies scattered and stuck the 2and train..
There is an error here, the derailed compartments of the corromondal express DID NOT hit the engine of the yashwantpur express. It is factually incorrect. They hit the rear of the Yashwantpur express derailing the last 2 general compartments. Had yashwantpur express crossed over 2 mins earlier it could have narrowly escaped. Since in both trains general compartments were hit casualties were high. RIP for all those who are no more.
I heard that there was a complaint already passed to the railway board previously by the balasore section staffs citing the technical glitches in the interlocking system... eventhough it's was not rectified until the mammoth accident had happened
CBI and Sabotage 😂 I would like to remind that there are more than 3 lakhs vacancy in the Railways. There is work overload, mismanagement and so on... Also, modernization like Kavach system, etc is never completed on time... Who is responsible?
Explained so well .little chiid can understand it the way you have explained it. Well done. Sorry for those people who have been died there .May God of heaven give peace to their souls.
Instead of sabotage possibility, the interlocking system components could have been damaged for no.of reasons like poor maintenance . Green signal seems to be ok . But when the train passed over the damaged interlocking components must have jumped over the tracks towards the loop line and the sheer momentum could have propelled it up to the stationary Goods train . Do you know how far the Goods train from the interlocking junction?
Your information about Yashwantpur Express on the graphic is incorrect. Yashwantpur Express was already passing through the area when this incident (not accident) took place. The last 3 coaches of Yashwantpur Express got derailed as a collateral damage, not it's engine or front part.
I guess there is a correction in where the impact of Yeshwanthpur express was with coromandel express last three coaches of Yeshwanthpur express got in contact. It was not a head on collision of Yeshwanthpur express with coromandel coaches
Thanks a lot for immense clarity Sir!... Hope preventive measures will be taken in future (specially to eradicate the sabotage angle)... Deepest condolences 😢😶 for the loss! Om Shanti 🕉️🌼
Sir, your way of teaching as well as explaining makes things easier to understand...thanks a lot for this great initiative ❤... showering a lot of love & respect....stay safe stay well always..
Sir, a small correction, bangalore exp was already crossing the coromandal express, when the latter derailed, and its coaches hitting the last 2 bogies of the bangalore express

It could the job of a CIA agent to warn India for siding with Russia in the Ukraine war. American Defense Secretary landed nearby in India one day after the accident. The accident could be meant to intimidate India to give in to American demand to stop buying Russian and send weapon to help Ukraine fight Russia.
Amit, let me do little correction here. The Yashwantpur express, going to Howrah, was almost passed but its last 3/4 coaches from rear end colluted with the coaches of Coromondal exp & impacted heavily. So, as per railway press conference it was rear end coaches, not front end of the Yashwantpur exp.

@@jeffvella9765 yes you're right. Lets see what the final report actually says, both from CRS and CBI.
Update : Station Master is not in Thailand or Myanmar he is in India itself. Also he has been identified as BB Mohanty instead of someone called Sharif as earlier stated. There is no person of the name of Sharif working for Orrisa Railways or Bahanaga Bazar Station.
Excellent unbiased presentation by Amit Sir. Thanks a lot.
Almost all the other youtubers, media is solely focusing on politics asking railway minister to resign etc this video is the best one I could find on the internet 👏
How can someone do this type of crime?? Oh god...😢😢
Assassination maybe
Very saddened to hear about this. Our prayers are with you. From the Maldives.

Deepest condolences to the affected family, may they find strength in these trial times.
Thank you for telling the truth without the apparent "narrative" 🙏
It were the rear bogeys not the Engine of Yashwantpur Express that collided with the derailed Coromandel exp.
S
Yes
How can bogies collide with stationery bogies of the train but not the engine.?
How is that possible, in a train engine is the one that pulls the bogeys🤔?
Best explanation so far. Good job 👍
Thank you for explaining with such precise detail....i always watch your videos....only yours....without useless details
Thank you for the explanation got the much needed clarity
Thank you once again Amit and RIP to the souls lost and quick recovery to the injured. I hope the perpetrators are fished out and prosecuted.
Thank you so so much Sir...🙌🏻☺️
Your explanation, animation really made it so so easy to understand what happened in this heartbreaking accident...💔
My deepest condolences from Norway.
This is the best video of all. Very very informative. Thank you very much.
Correct
Always waiting for your videos sir, please provide global issues and news videos frequently. 🙏🙏also want geography video too.
His done with geography videos, years ago. (I assume you're a new subscriber)
He has a playlist for it, check it out.
Thank you Amit for explaining this crash and how it happened.
Mai sir apki video ka wait kar raha tha, for well organized explanation
Deatiled and technical explanation in time efficient way. Never ask to subscribe or like. This man is doing its wonderful work since 2016. Hats- off to you Amit
Condolences to the victims. Thoughts and prayers from New Zealand
Thanks for clear layman explanation... Hope the guilty is punished and no such incidents occur in future
Warm condolence to deceased person 🙏🙏 from UAE
you always provide most factual content and I really appreciate you for that..
Worth watching this video... Crystal clear explanation... No media can explain as better as this. Nice visuals and animation. Thank you sir
I heard that there was a complaint already passed to the railway board previously by the balasore section staffs citing the technical glitches in the interlocking system... eventhough it's was not rectified until the mammoth accident had happened
What a explanation tnq sir for this highly informative video
CBI and Sabotage 😂
I would like to remind that there are more than 3 lakhs vacancy in the Railways. There is work overload, mismanagement and so on...
Also, modernization like Kavach system, etc is never completed on time...
Who is responsible?
Too good very well explained and very crisp..and this has caused a great loss to many families...strength to the family
Explained so well .little chiid can understand it the way you have explained it. Well done. Sorry for those people who have been died there .May God of heaven give peace to their souls.
Of all the information I went through to get a basic understanding of what really happened, your video is so simple to follow. Thank you.
Deep condolence to Indian people from Pak...😢😢
The way u explain the stuff is mind blowing..always love watching ur case study..
Crystal clear
Must needed video.
Thanking you till next time.
Thanks, professor... excellent presentation per usual!
I guess there is a correction in where the impact of Yeshwanthpur express was with coromandel express last three coaches of Yeshwanthpur express got in contact. It was not a head on collision of Yeshwanthpur express with coromandel coaches
Excellent 👌🎉🎉
This channel must be 10 million+ subscribers.
Thanks a lot for immense clarity Sir!...
Hope preventive measures will be taken in future (specially to eradicate the sabotage angle)...
Deepest condolences 😢😶 for the loss! Om Shanti 🕉️🌼

Your explanation is mind blowing sir❤️❤️❤️
Thank you Sir for explaining the technicalities.
Heartbreaking. Condolences to all family members whom have lost their ones. May GOD grand you SHALOM.
Sir, a small correction, bangalore exp was already crossing the coromandal express, when the latter derailed, and its coaches hitting the last 2 bogies of the bangalore express
From the united kingdom , im a Muslim, I practise , im sorry to hear that , very said news , may the families receive something to grand them ease and comfort in their hearts , sorry to hear this kind of news
It could the job of a CIA agent to warn India for siding with Russia in the Ukraine war. American Defense Secretary landed nearby in India one day after the accident. The accident could be meant to intimidate India to give in to American demand to stop buying Russian and send weapon to help Ukraine fight Russia.
As always Sir your explanation is very clear. Thank you 🙏
Condolences to the berieved family. From Northeast India, Meghalaya, Shillong.
