I swear, these old 2V 4.6L Modular engines just sounded so good. Doesn't matter if it's in a Crown Victoria, F150 or one of these Mustangs.
The 01 mach 1 doesn't have the 2 valve. Its the 4V 4.6 motor.
@@DippinItUp1 its not a mach 1 its a bulitt
Agreed. Such a sweet, soulful tone. Everyone shits on them because they dOnT mAkE pOwEr, but they sound SO good.
@@DippinItUp1😂😂😂😂😂😂
The Bullitt had a specially tuned exhaust sounded even better
That interior has held up quite nicely...and the car sounds great.
I mean it only has 23,000 miles
@Yes Sir Since ‘94
@Yes Sir sure it's not a breathtaking interior, but it's simple, raw, and it does the job. It doesnt need fancy stuff or unnecessary multimedia, you just need to drive and get the chicks, that's it.

Mine looks like this, only issue is the driver seat is starting to tear. 160k miles now. Recently replaced fuel pump, now she runs great again.. :)
I’m LOVING these older car POVs
😊😊
My brother, Dick Simpson, worked on the exhaust tuning on this car. He was a sound engineer at Ford NVH and took the sounds very seriously. The Bullitt Mustang is one of the great Mustangs.
What a legend. The regular GTs sound great but this Bullit version is on another level, hats off to your brother.
Did you say dic-💀
Yeah my hats off too this is the only comment that will forever be history.
Your brother excelled at his job then, this car sounds absolutely incredible, what a legend.
My first car was a 2001 v6 lol man such a trip seeing that interior again.
Same here man
I’m about to get one. Good recommendation?
@@parkergarrett3642 honestly it was a great first car! Two things I would consider if I had to do it again is what does the rust situation look like? I’m from Canada so some were pretty crazy I looked at.
Second, if you get a good bit of snow do you plan on winder driving it? I wouldn’t recommend it for more than some local city driving. I had some decent winter tires but the back just wanted to leave all the time. I was planing to throw some sand bags in the trunk the following winter to see if I could weigh it down for some more grip but ended up getting another car before I tried it out.
Other than that, parts were cheap in 2013 and plentiful lol. All in all I enjoyed it! If you end up getting into one I hope you love it!
Love these old car POV’s
Me too!!! Way more than the new stuff
Same here even though I'm 24 the old school muscles are alot better IMO more unbeatable like it's new.
These engines are absolutely indestructible. I have a 01 GT, running this baby 6500 rpm no problem
My '01 Bullitt is in a barn for the winter. Watching, and listening to your video, I can't wait to get it out in a month!😁🙂👍
There’s just something so satisfying seeing such a clean and simple interior like this danm
Nice Mustang! Gotta love that V8 sound in the higher revs. I know you weren't pushing it too much because the pavement was wet.
I remember test driving one of these when I first got my license with my dad. Definitely was a fun experience, car was fun to drive. Shifter felt great!
Sweet, yeah 3rd gear is the performance gear with these.
I used to haul ass in 3rd for highway performance. Many many times, strong engines never an issue ever.
Fast enough to be fun, but not so fast that you can't wring it out a little bit. There is so much character in the sound - gear wine, exhaust, induction . . . It is a fest for the ears
Man that car sounds so amazing under acceleration and between gears. I had an SN95 for some time, but mine was riddled with issues. This one seemed in pretty nice condition, as close to new as I've seen on a lot of examples.
I always like it when Winding Road Magazine makes entertaining and fun videos like this :)
I could listen to the sound of a happy 4.6 all day. They sound so good
This dude rides the clutch some what hard
Old American cars are true love🥂🔥💪🏼
One of my favorite cars growing up
That 2 valve 4.6 sound with the 5.0 power would be the perfect mustang lol
7:50 my mans tryna increase the fan speed when the climate system is off.
I replaced my a/c compressor & upgraded to a 130 amp alternator, my 03 mustang runs better with the a/c on , it stills runs good with it off but i do notice a difference
These cars are nice until the interior starts rattling. Still love the New Edges very much, especially the 03-04 Cobra
90s interior
My Bullitt has 126k on it with 0 interior rattles or loose trim pieces. Its amazing how well these cars can hold up if taken care of.
MRT has a Mach 1 and Bullitt? That’s pretty awesome
Great sounding bullitt
Bullitt’s are the best Mustangs including Boss 429s and Eleanor Shelby Fastbacks
They weren’t very fast but god damnit the 2V, 3V and 4V cars always sounded amazing.
Don't usually like this gen mustang but this one is spec'd really nice.
Maybe I need a Mustang in my life.
Now I own an '01 Bullitt in dark highland green. Mint, #3776😊
i love this car sm
Cool video, he’s really babying this but the Bullitt in 01 is such a unique ride. Even though its based on the GT there is no comparison in drive and feel. This is the last of the old school breed imo. The 5 speed makes up a huge percentage of the fun. Now we are in an era of superior automatic transmissions that are much faster than sticks but 21 years ago the difference between say the 01 Bullitt and an auto GT were entirely different now a vert auto even worse. Throw a set of gears in with the 5 speed and what a BLAST!! Not the fastest or most powered by a long shot especially by todays standards but this was an era where driving a car was required, not the car driving you...
Thank you. Had a nasty task to deal with and your Modular made it feel like nothing.
The sound that is a True Legend❗
Sounds so nice. Cool car.
Idk why but this is my favorite car , i would love this car as my first car i’m 15m.
Midtown madness ❤
My dad still has his. He got the v8 convertible one with a spoiler in the back.
It’s seen better days though, paint faded and the window for the back broke years ago
Amazing sound!
Love the sound!
It's stunning how short 1st and 2nd gear are here. Were the Bullitt Mustangs equipped with 3.73 final drive from the factory?
Heck no. That would have been sweet. I believe 3.27’s. I remember having one of these wishing it had at least 3.55’s.
Stock 3.27, I have 410’s in my Bullitt and first is short but it turns 2nd into the stock 3.27 first. I have cams, tune and exhaust with 315 summer tires on the rear and you have a hard time getting any traction through first and second unless its 85 degrees or hotter. Super quick down low, the gears are a must!
You forgot to shut off tcs , that’s a must in all v8 new edges
I want a ‘65 mustang so bad.
I’d take this too. So so sick. I’d get rid of my 2020 cx5 for a manual mustang any day
Sounds f**king beautiful!
This sound in incredible
This is rare
Why is there a lag time at each gear change ?
Is it the gearbox that hangs up or is it you that doesn't go for it ?
He is babying this big time, the 3650 trans is notchy and has its quirks but you can hit them gears if you want to.
Sounds like a rocket.
damn i iwsh i had black interior it looks so damn good! a little dissapointed to see this doesn't have a spoiler but the color is immaculate!
Bullits don’t come with spoilers lol, can add it though
@NudaMan I'm aware. I just like the gt spoiler on this body style. Nice car
Find a SVT Cobra next

Couldn't tell it was a mustang until I saw the parking job😂
Yo tuve un 2002 y jalaba mamalon carrazo
Ese interior nuevo uff
El auto de mis sueños ♥️
nice
Sounds good but needs to be louder
perfect!
just bought an 01 gt convertible in april. auto. 101k miles. love it. a lot of fun. would ve loved a manual but got a good deal. car in great condition. seats perfect. new top. it idles kind of funky. any thoughts?
My old gt idled up and down I think it’s normal with these cars
@@sparkplug5129 wow. ok. my mechanic said nothing is wrong. big engine small car. how bout cleaing out throttle?
You didn’t double clutch it once. For shame…
Reminds a lot about the DriftStang
Noice Mustang 👍🏻
What is you exhaust set-up? I have a 2001 Bullitt with BBK Short Headers, BBK Off Road X-Pipe and Flowmaster CAT-BACK.
Good🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Is this what Vin diesel ment by granny shifting
I have a Bullitt that’s black for sale, only 14,000 original miles
Can u plz plz do a test drive for mercedes gls 450 2022
El mío esta viejito pero mi Papa lo va a arreglar y Ami papá legustalos Mustang 67
I tried to buy one of these the other day but the seller delisted it and ghosted me. Theres a few for sale right now but all want stupid prices.
What's a stupid price? You gotta pay if you wanna play. This is a Bullitt, they are a numbered car. Very rare and unique. If you want cheap fun grab you a GT. Bullitts/Machs/Cobras cost money and are very much worth it. If you consider what new vehicle prices are compared to what it costs to own one of these its not even a question. I bit the BULLITT in June and got me an '01 Bullitt that is a dream in Dark Highland Green, tastefully modded and immaculately clean know what I mean😂 The 2v's will outlive us and sound fkn amazing, and Bullitts only come with 3 pedals💪🏻
@@nothanks1627 +35k
I ended up picking up a 2008 with 18k miles for 25k
Wanted a 2001 but just couldn’t find one for a fair price. Either crack head high or clapped out.
What exhaust setup on it? Also is there long tube headers or high flow cats on it?
what exhaust is on this car?
It sounds procharged
Last time i ever ride in a mustang was in 2002 smh
chris fix red mustang gt
Is it just me or are you having to fight to get into each gear especially 3rd
If just it had a bigger spoiler.
do i hear a supercharger or PS pump
What is that airhose noise going on in the bg?
2001 is old? :(
what means POV?
Point of view. You're seeing exactly what the camera operator is seeing with his own eyes
I had a 2021 GT Premium with a manual MT82 transmission. Complete garbage! I could put up with the hard plastic interior, engine tick and the glitchy electronics, but the drive train was garbage. Kept the GT for 2 months and unloaded it....was a pile of junk. Bought a real car from another manufacturer with a standard TREMEC couldn't be happier...FU FORD! BTW - if you did buy this POS with a MT82 you can join the class action suit!
👍
I hate the shifter in these model mustangs. So horrible
time in pilipines 2:09
I have a black Bullitt mustang with only 14,000 miles. For sale if anyone is interested
